I have no interest in the Challenge at all.  I did stock up on cans of Raid bug spray to share with my co-op.

No players on any server were advised in advance of the shortened Theme Event.  Change was only confirmed to the EN forum on Tuesday....well into the event.  We are all in the same boat on that one.

LOL @ adoptapet..I'm in a small, max benefit, non-compete co-op. Because this is a new CC they have decided to vote on doing it or not (majority rules). If the vote comes out yes, I am jumping out of the co-op..max benefits or not. That's how much faith I have in the new CC...YEEHAW..

Oh - and I only have one farm - and it's on the US server.  I just have the EN forum bookmarked and check it regularly.

If this rumor of a full week long event is true, then there is going have to be a six week break between each one.  It will be impossible to keep everyone going for a week, unless the event is less frequent.

And:  Will a weekly event (camping, UFO, etc.) occur during the CC?
  • MRG1 (US1)MRG1 (US1) US1 Posts: 1,554
So when I click on the countdown timer it says our coop is going to be in Bronze league. Which is fine because we are not that competitive. Why then, when I logged in today, did we get a pop-up explaining what the Gold league prizes were? Although I am happy to see information given in-game about the event, it seems not enough relevent info and too much non-relevenat info. Or am I missing something?

Hopefully it will Gavin as we are not all in co-ops and used to like the events but as for calling them weekly.... well wait and see about that :)

I dont understand do u get 40% in expert mode only for your personal reputation and you get 100% for coop or it is both 40% personal and 40% coop reputation during championship?
  • shazamd (US1)shazamd (US1) US1 Posts: 766
I think the 40% is the handicap for selecting the Expert difficulty.  Point totals for Hard Work awards are the same for all three Gold difficulties, but only a percentage of the Rep points earned get applied to team's totals.  So, if your co op selects Normal, 100% of your Rep Points count.  If you select Hard, it's 80%, I think.  An for the Experts, it's 40%.

One would think that with something this big being launched that we would see more of GGS in the forum, answering questions.  Instead we are seeing less.

wont only last 2 days that was a reference to running out of prizes to win as some of the huge co-ops did the old challenge  very quickly and passed the last prize after doing it for only 2 days, will last for at least a week, would prob take a month for some co-ops in gold league to make 100 million rp lol , unless your trying to get the top 3 prizes ( by using shed loads of gold)  theres no point doing any other than the normal one unless you want horse shoes, doesn't look like theres anything for the top ten like the cherry orchards, the top prizes in rankings stop at 3rd place, we still have no idea how many co-ops will be in each league, I'm still in shock at the 100 million rp  lol  its been designed to make as much money as possible for GGS, GGS know that the huge co-ops will do almost anything to come 1st and know they will open their wallets and bottomless pockets to buy the over priced boosters, hopefully after this first shamble of a challenge the rp total will be lowered for next one or a lot wont even bother taking part in future challenges,

I would still like to know how many of the prizes will only be obtainable  after the old target of 32 million as most co-ops wont even get  past that, if theres only 20 prizes up to say 32 million then most will only realistically  achieve a fraction of the 50 prizes in the challenge, I for see a lot of very disappointed players come the end of next week

This has been asked before and I have yet to see an official answer.  I think that most are assuming it is for both your personal total and coop's total because the prizes are give to the whole coop not just one person.  Plus the voted on lvl applies to everyone not just the individual.  Sorry that I still can't give you a for sure answer, but as far as I know there has been no official post on this.  You are not alone in being frustrated by the unknown areas of the new challenge format.
  • The old format challenge was a challenge for our coop.   We worked hard as a team to get thru the 50 hard work prizes and to try and finish well in rankings.  We have a few gold players with the majority of the coop being non gold players.  We were able to fund the farm dollar boosters, but none to little of the gold ones.  So the new requirements and cost of the boosters is rather disappointing.  On the US server I only remember seeing 1 maybe 2 coops getting over 10million rep.  We were hard pressed to get the 31 more than once, and could never have done it without the boosters.

100 Million Rep Pts in the Gold League - this has to be an April Fool's joke!!!  :|  :|
  • There is update now that does not enter the game?

  • Can we get an answer as to how many days this will run?  Please?
  • with new info given.

Top prizes for gold lvl is a 2x2 deco  Big Whoop.  This is epic fail.  Gone from top prize of a great Apple orchard to a deco only good to be destroyed.

Decorations are useless.  I would not waste ANY gold or time for such poor reward.  Not worth the effort.  I predict that this will be the end of CC.  Bring back apple orchard or something similar

    From the announcement:

    Notable bugfixes and other changes:

    - Asia and UFO events have been adjusted to the new feeds.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What are the specific changes to Asia and UFO?

Seems pretty clear to me.  Say you score 14,000 rep points on a mission.
If a Gold League Co op selects Normal difficulty - the full 14,000 points gets added to that team's total.
If the Co op has selected Hard difficulty - only 80%,11,200 points, is added to the team total.
For a Co op selecting Expert difficulty - only 40%, 5,600 points, is added to the team total.

No speedy feed to start Pigs and Cows
  • my advice (for what it's worth) is to wait til the challenge starts, and have the information we need, to make a judgement on the merits of the event.
some are getting their panties in a wad over something they know little, to nothing, about.    why not let the thing play out, then take a look at it with some actual knowledge to know whether or not you will participate. don't get all hung up on rumors, and rumors of rumors.

like joe Friday said, "just the facts mam, just the facts."
  • I wonder what the Bronze League gets...

In this picture, does anyone know what it says below the minus symbol on the left side of the slider.  It says "+" something.  I can't make it out.  It looks like +1Std or something.  Does anyone know and what it means?

    @andyhudson1965 (GB1)

    good morning Andy,

RE: your questions and your calculations - cost of gold boosters in this new Coop-Cha

The calculations we need are really simple, and I wonder why, unlike you, the other players are paying very little or no attention to this matter

Those 250% boosters you mention were FREE.  We used to buy gold when a hot deal came up during the Coop-Cha. This hot deal included a bonus of 12 hours rep boosters for each 15,000 gold bought. True you have to buy gold to get the booster, but then that gold is yours to use when and how you please

Now instead if any player wants to have a booster, they will have to spend their own gold and buy boosters for a given amount of time similarly to the coop boosters that we buy using the coop accounts

I am really curious to see how many people will spend their gold for personal boosters (on top of what they already needed to spend for coop boosters).  We are talking about hundreds of thousands gold coins to keep gold boosters running for one week or longer !!!

What an appropriate name GGS ... the GOLD LEAGUE
