I have been playing BF now for about 18 mths & it was a great game which I have enjoyed playing but in the last 7 or so mths all I have seen is a real big move by GGS to grad more & more gold as they can from us. Some of their updates have been good & enjoyable but this last one is the pits especially if they do bring extra books in for the new speedy feed. I WONT BE BUYING ANYMORE NOR SPENDING ANYMORE GOLD ON THIS GAME!!!!
I was happy to spend some money towards playing this game & buying their books but this has gone too far. I wish that GGS was more concerned with fixing all the bugs properly that are infecting the playing of the game instead of pushing more & more hot deals at us especially the hot deals for reputation points in coop challenges or changing the books. It might have been a much better idea if GGS had thought through this new addition to the game thoroughly first instead of rolling it out half cooked.
Honestly, I see no real point to the new seeds and the new production times. The game is a time management game. This undermines that severely. Adding a new animal altogether that produced in a new time (for example 3 hours), that would have made sense.
I think the second real problem here is the missions Pig feed adds to cow feed for total feed.....this makes no sense. And the weird calculus involved in the milk or pig missions make logical competition hard.
On the whole, I think the update is a negative because it muddies the game's core principles, and that is never a good thing. I applaud the effort. I can imagine that it seemed like a good idea, but it did not turn out that way.
As you can see: output for milk & pig with the new feed with today's update still yields slightly more output/min compared to the old feed (1.3x for pig & 1.6x more for cow milk). Note that the comparison is based on pig & cow milk numbers w/o any library book bonus.
The upside with adding the new seeds is that it fills in the hole created by 2nd architect level, while only having a minimal impact on overall output (depending on how often you use these new seeds). I don't know how much the devs envisioned us running the speedy feed vs the regular feed, but I know I'm still doing mostly regular feed, with speedy feed just to fill in gaps of time.
I would have liked to see the handbooks be applied to both, but that's just my selfishness and greed talking. I think it's also is very reasonable to have the handbooks separated. Though whether or not I'll get them... that would depend on how profitable it is.
I totally agree with you and comments by some more players written above.
I would like to send my
Its been great pleasure playing this game.
Why can't they change donkeys to sheep instead. This way we don't have to change any stables or change the balance of our farms to add extra buildings on the limited amount of farmland we have unless GGS are going to increase the farm size with the introduction of new animals??
All donkey books could also be changed over to make them sheep books instead of having to buy more & wasteing the donkey books for those people that have already bought them.

First - Put the new stuff after the old stuff in the menus! - Example. When planting your field, it has always been Wildflowers, then corn, then cabbage, and then wheat----------------so put the new stuff after that. If you do this, you inconvenience people less. That is important.
The same goes for running the windmill. Put chicken feed first, pig second, cows third and then the new stuff.
You should do this with any update. Leave the old in place and add the new. It is horribly disruptive to have the menus re-ordered. This should be a super-high priority!
Second, these new feeds need there own spot on the "wheel" of choices that comes up when you click on a stable. Having them show up after you highlight the old feed is not acceptable if we are to use this stuff for missions.
Can we get an actual answer on this, particularly the first item?
the wheel of choices - i would like to have swapped that two options - fast feed first place, 7hours feed second place. who will play this update, most of time you will use fast feed button, that 7hours feed button you will use maximally 3 times a day.
if you accidentally click on main button now, it will take 7 hours. if main button will be fast feed butoon, accidentally click will cost you only 7,5 minutes.
I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOUR THIS SUGGESTION. This Change has to be made as suggested by
......because many time I ended up starting normal feed instead of Speedy feed while feeding cows or pigs at mission.
Am I the only person who has seen a huge drop off in water after Tuesday's update?
hey may you help me and give 700 gold coins
