Does having an orange dot give your Co-op a penalty or something? ANSWERED. THANK YOU.

Other than you not being there to help for a little bit, does your co-op get a penalty or something for having players with an orange dot? and If you payed money to help your co-op with research but they kick you for having an orange dot, but you reapply and join them again, will it still be there or do you have to pay it again? if you payed money to help them with things but they kick you, do they get to keep the research you spent it on or did you just waste money?

First one should do some home work before joining a co op. Find out what they expect from you as a member of their Co op. Send one of the deputies or the leader a message asking what is required of their members. Before joining be sure you can meet the requirements and conditions of that co op.
No a Co op does not get a penalty or any thing for having members with orange dots or any other colored dots. Every thing you donate to a co op ie: cash and or Gold will remain with the co op. Collectibles & a donated researcher are the only things you can take back, if you plan on leaving a co op. If you are removed then only the researcher will go with the removed player, every thing else will stay with the co op if any thing.

What was the name of the co-op that kicked you out for having an orange dot for an hour?  I'd like to know so if I know of anyone planning to join it I can warn them....then they can decide.

We've had members in our co-op with a red dot for over a week before they are let go.  If they let our leader know that they'll be away or have a reason for not logging on, he's understanding & will keep them. If he doesn't hear from them & has tried e-mailing with no response he doesn't know if they'll be back or not....they're gone.  If they get in touch with him & ask to come back....they're usually taken back.  Our co-op is:  God Loves You (maybe that explains it....lol)

  • I knew my dot would be orange for about an hour that day, I told them, they still kicked me. One hour? Really? Thank you for the info. I appreciate it. Many of their other members had orange dots frequently, mine was orange for one hour. I have since found a better co-op and I am very happy. Have a nice day and good luck with the game :D  Thanks again -B
  • If you are still looking for a coop, you are more the welcome to join us at HomesteadersUSA. It is a new coop, but we have big plans for it and need some fun players.

  • We do the same if they are gone over a week and have not told the coop they are away.. But that is usually the main reason for a boot
  • @ Gin7: The name of the coop was The Chatterbox. They chat kind of a lot so good name, and they are very competitive. If you like a very busy coop, they aren't too bad and if they kick you, they will let you back in if you ask but expect to be kicked for an orange dot as soon as they see it. They were also a little too fast paced for me, they like to do projects fast. As soon as a project ends, there is another started as soon as possible. I was unable to keep up most of the time.
  • An orange dot means that you have not been logged into the game in 3 days. And sending in-game messages will do no good unless the person logs on to receive them. If your schedule only permits you to get online every couple of days then maybe you should tell your leader that.

As far as project participation, I have never seen a co-op that insisted you neglect your farm in order to finish a project. But they will insist you participate at least a little bit. The smaller the co-op the more important it is for you to do your fair share.

And finally, if you don't feel comfortable in a co-op you should never feel you have to stay. A simple "sorry, not my cup of tea" and out the door you go. It's not like you're married to them.

    Just my opinion of course

  • I do not need any more replies to this question, thank you all, but the first guy did a very good job. Thank you again.and have a nice day.
