Why is the Viking more than 2.5 days shorter this time around?
I thought it was shorter to, maybe GGS have something planned for Easter, or want people to use gold to FF due to having less time. I go for 2nd option

Maybe I'm wrong. I still think that the land is now a darker color. Hue is different. A little lighter land would improve the impression. :)
No changes have been made to the background, I promise :D
It just takes some getting used to after all the snowy days.

Looks like they have pretty much HALVED the amount of gold horseshoes we get for winning a challenge. Used to be 23k for beating a lvl 100 horse. Now it's 12,530. This is going to make it almost impossible for lower level players to upgrade stables. What gives?
Nope, didn't change anything here :(

This, on the other hand, seems to be different indeed. I'll see if I can find out why.
  • I do not understand why the topic Snow unified with the theme of horses, but well, I'd still say this but to finish the story on this topic.
It is possible that the farm before and after the snow the same, maybe just seems to me that the plot darker than before. Anyway, i still think the lighter shade of farm land improved appearance. After the snow is visible so as to be nicer. A little lighter shade of land is only a suggestion. The discussion is unnecessary :)

Another day, and yet no Winter Wheel has showed up.  I thought that was kind of "the point".

the ground shud be a brighter colour like........yellow, bright yellow, or even yellow ochre will do. brown colour is not good and the farm does not look attractive. white looked best

    i want the snow back

    Snow way, it's gone. :)
  • For the farm itself (unused area within the fence), darker is much better.  The white outline that appears around a facility when you hover the cursor over it shows up much better that way. The snow on the farm made this outline hard to see and hurt playability.

In move mode, however, the unused farm area needs to contrast strongly with the used area.  Currently, move mode makes used areas dark, so maybe the unused areas in this mode could be a bright color.

  • bright ocher color of the land, yes, I agree, it would repair the appearance of the farm. The brown, as it is now, the ugly and everything looks muddy.
  • Michiru (GB1)Michiru (GB1) GB1 Posts: 1,239
It does truly appear a tad muddy now that the snow has melted.
Any word on when Frida is coming back? I fancy some spring/autumn backgrounds
  • I too don't like the muddy surrounding to my fields and buildings. I am sure it wasn't like that before the snow. Now I know that when snow melts it leaves behind mud but I am hoping to see the grass grow very soon. My farms just do not look pretty. :o

CM Popeye said in the announcement:  "Horse stable upgrade costs have been slightly increased"
I was working toward upgrading the stable to have 6 stalls (level 6), which was 4,000 golden horseshoes....now its 50,000 golden horseshoes.  Are you kidding me? This is slightly increased??????????  YIKES, I'm scared to think of what a major increase would be.    If it was $50,000 or 5,000 golden horseshoes (which would be a slight increase), okay, but since it has 50,000  golden horseshoes, well I guess I'm keeping my 5 horses and not breeding or increasing them.  I thought this was going to be a neat addition... :(   Guess not.   My poor little horses won't be worrying about the competition headaches!

I understand that you are upset, but, I have checked prices, and, for me I am upgrading to level 9 arena, circle, and jumping area, before it cost 125,000 competition horseshoes, now after the upgrade, it is still the same amount of money

Was it one of the changes that the grab bags or bubbles no longer have color changes? Or was this some unintentional change? Either way, I'm gutted! Very upset! I used to be able to know how many grabs in a row I had done, now they are all the grey-green first bag color... Please change it back! Or at least turn them all to the gold color bags, if they must be a single color...

I don't care about the arena, jumping area, and circle, they are still the same, no changes except more levels for upgrade. I'm talking about upgrading the stable to add more horses, I found out from a friend to upgrade the Stable to level 8  is $200K competition horseshoes, that is a substantial increase, not slightly increased.

It would still be good to know if the Viking will remain shorter or not.
  • Data King (US1)Data King (US1) US1 Posts: 7,994
I would like to see a change in the way we buy the horses. I for one would like to know more about what I am buying. Like a car or truck one wants the information on it before he or she buys it. Same with live stock!
So in the Near future will we be able to see the parents of the horse we want to buy before buying it??

Okay...........  It has been over a week.  I don't think it is crazy to expect an answer this.  These temp farms are a huge undertaking, and if it is to stay more than two full days shorter, that is very important, and has a large impact on my strategy.

That's their show off of how they care about our opinion. :) You can tell them milion times that some responsibility and timely correct informed responses are just bare minimum show of respect, yet it doesn't change anything about their behaviour. :) Customer service is at submarine level. :)

Really.... this is getting embarrassing.............Either the temp farm is going to be 2.5 days shorter or isn't.  Can we get an answer?  It has been over a week now on such a simple question.

    Hi Gavin,

Sorry I don't have an answer to your question. We have not been told of any plans to change the timer on the Viking farm, but I will follow up on Monday as to whether or not Latten got a reply to his inquiries.

Since Timo is not here today, I will pick this one up.

Yes, the temporary farm falls a tad bit shorter this time around and the timer definitely won't change. This is due to our tight schedule for upcoming events.

    Regards,
    Steffi

This is very bad.  These temp farms are very, very hard AND very, very expensive AND they are always 30 days.  2.5 days shorter is quite significant.  Can you at least promise that this will not happen again in the future?
  • gavinfarms (US1)gavinfarms (US1) US1 Posts: 2,273
    No reply?

This is becoming a problem.  It is bad enough that this happened.  But the lack of communication is even more distressing.  This forum is getting more and more pointless, if we are going to continue to see a decline in GGS's willingness to engage in dialogue across the board.
