Our coop won the highest deco, I believe it's named the Frosty Crystal Palace in English - Listed nr 20 in the rankings - and we are very, very, very proud of it!! .

We really enjoyed all these December events, especially this Santa's List + Snowflakes event, where it all came down to a tight collaboration, keep communicating over and over again, helping each other, listening to each other, focusing on the 'greater good' and maybe even bring individual offers. Really loved the fact that lower level players and smaller coops got an advantage in the Snowflakes contest (finally)!!

Hope to see a lot more of these kind of challenging events with a higher degree of difficulty in the future (but very nice that there were also the simple hide&seek events for who prefer the easy events - so for each and all tastes)!!

Compliments & thanks to the developers!

Me and my coop members are very happy with our new great deco!! And congratulations to all of you who obtained one of these wonderful winter-decos, whether "Iglo" or "Palace"!!
    Happy farming!

Can any1 please explain how the value of the palace was determined, many of my coop have decs of 195, some have 390, and there are smaller members with decs worth 585.

a 7x7 deco?, i find it useless, it means i have to take away too many decos just for thAt one

@Fran4 (GB1) what are the respective levels of those members of yours?

It should actually be the other way around, highest level members can get the highest potential happiness, lower level players are soft capped at slightly lower levels. Seems like something might be a bit off. :worried:

This numbers are very strange! The 195lvl deco seams reasonable, others have extreamly large happines.
In our coop, lvl 80 and lvl 140 players got 197 happines deco, while a lvl 56 player got a 191 deco.

A you sure those are the happines points of the deco and not the total happines points of the whole farm?

My coop was 12th on EN server Have palace built on FF with 179 happiness, which actually has brought down overall happiness because to make room have stored decors upgraded by Greta:)  I will leave it there while I play as a reminder of how my coop pulled together to complete all the lists and the snowballs (I think all coops should have got extra happiness on whichever decor they won, it only earns them a bit extra virtual money, no cost to GGS)  With it been a Xmas + NY event it could have been a bit shorter for my liking:)

This whole event was disappointing.  We did exactly as requested and only received the castle and not the palace, because they changed the rules.  This is very sad, because I thought the event had a lot of potential, but if GGS isn't going to honor their word, then what is the point?.  I thought its structure was something that could be developed into an even better event, but it doesn't matter if that are not going to give you the reward that you earned.  If they re-work this event for a point in the future, I don't know how I am supposed to ask people to participate in it, after the way GGS handled this one.  And the shame is that they could fix it at any moment.  They simply don't want to.

When you have a position on leadership in running a game, as GGS does, then your word has to mean something.  And between this and the lying about the Viking/Festive library books, believing anything that GGS says is getting really hard.
  • Our co-op worked really hard for each and every decoration.  We often sacrificed what we needed to make our farm run efficiently in order to fill our lists.  Yet here at the end, we find that we only received one decoration.  Should it be that we should not have done our snow flakes?  If we had not, would we have received the other 4?  Please understand our dilemma, for we arose very early, stayed up very late, & spent gold in order to accomplish the task.  In point of fact, just last night one of our co-op planted & immediately harvested all of his fields with sunflowers...it was a very expensive harvest, & then he did it again before logging off in order to insure that we did not miss out on the final decoration.

All of us believed we would be receiving 5 decorations, and even though they are huge, we all have plans as to where we shall put most if not all of them.  I'm sorry but we feel cheated.

Furthermore, it is called Bait & Switch, & it is illegal to promise, especially in writing, & then not provide what was promised, or to replace what was promised with something else without further compensation.  We would like to receive the other 4 decorations that we earned, so if you would please see fit to fix your error we would greatly appreciate it.

My deco - the Ice Castle - is going to the landscaper the moment she arrives!  Much too big, happiness loss too great to even consider placing it in my farm, and it is not really the nicest deco I have seen. Actually ALL of the deco rewards from this event are the ugliest I have seen (sorry to those who like it, this is just my personal opinion).

@DonnaSue58 you only receive 1 deco, if you completed 100% collection of orders in the first 4 weeks then you would receive the Ice Castle and if you finished in the top 24 ranking during the snowflake collecting you would receive the Ice Palace.  So, sorry, but it is not an error :(

  • I agree, this was a very disappointing event. I got a deco that gives 132 happiness on a 7 X 7 deco it is 2.69 per square and it took 6 weeks the elegant dragon deco took me 4 days to get and gives 3.08 happiness per square.

For the amount of time and resources it took to get this deco it should give at least 2 to 3 times this amount of happiness ,(at least they changed the event so that you at get paid for donations)

  • I found somewhere cool to hide my palace, makes my shop look very Vegas hehe

Fortunately I had a 7x7 stone circle on FF, so was easy to swap & gained happiness too, so I`m happy... Great event GGS, well at least it would have been if we had got the palace for completing the 4th week & skipped the last 2 weeks totally, but was still fun :)

Over all the event was a nice challenge, but I agree the last 14 day long week was just to much they should have stopped after week four and awarded the Palace then or even better they could have given a new list again in week five but allowed you to help each other from day one, as well as given you the opportunity to fill any orders from previous weeks.

That in my opinion would have been a good ending

So we went from a 158 happiness decoration at the end of week 4 and ended up with a frosty palace that has a happiness value of 173 after gathering well over 2 million snowflakes over the 14 days. Two weeks work for 15 happiness? The highlight of this event is that its now over and we can focus on more important things.
  • You're wrong, the +15 bug for the top 24 only affected only the fr1 server:

Je ne peux pas vous dire s'ils seront supprimés ...
Pour les 24 premières coops, le problème rencontré est unique à notre serveur.
  • gizmo22 (AU1)gizmo22 (AU1) AU1 Posts: 1,720
Well hopefully it is a bug because finishing 3rd and gathering a heap of snowflakes for a 15+ happiness increase is ridiculous. The gold mining license reward I received after opening one of the 3 mystery box prizes for top 24 finish is a better reward than the decoration itself.
  • On fr1 everybody received the mystery box, but it was an undocumented feature.

Don't mind me asking: but what mystery boxes? My coop members and I didn't receive any mystery boxes for finishing in the top 24 ranking!
I got 3 mystery boxes yesterday, but they were because of reaching the end of the Golden League in the horse tournament.
.... I am confused now!  :/  Can somebody please bring some light in my darkness? THX!

I have just upgraded my palace with Greta to 200 happiness. Had just over 600 decor parts and spent over 6 million for 21 extra happiness, but still lower happiness on FF than before. Will keep ,its only 1% and a bit of virtual money .

Have demolished my Ice deco for 1,469 parts.  I had nowhere on any of my farms for the deco and it wasn't to my taste at all.  I did build it first to get the XP :)

For me personally Santa was done deal nearly from the start. Intense 6 weeks long marathon during Christmas holiday requiring extensive participation and coordination, sounds like most everybody who has family, friends, common sense etc. just either skiped the whole thing or ended up a bit disapointed. Extreme enthusiasts, people with no sense in life other then gaming and similar will enjoy challenges like that, but if the event was supposed to target masses of casual players I do consider it a big failure and a serious lack of common sense on GGS side, although admittedly there were good features introduced and I even understand a bit why BF team could have thought this would be fun. Nevertheless from what I read those screaming with excitement over their "success" represent rather small minority, while majority would be just indiferent, disapointed or angry.

As somebody excitedly proclamed, the best thing about this game is, that you can skip things. Well seemingly some went even further and skiped the whole game. :)

Having said the above but being an experienced skiper, I feel rather undisturbed by that monster spoiling my horizons for 6 weeks and I continue playing at my usual casual pace. And actually getting a bit "nervous" about just 2 events at the market ............. What's up? Has the game died of exhaustion after Santa grab? :):):) Bring me some good fun events please, will ya? :)
