"Build a Snowman" Event

Hi all, make sure you go look for Rudolph first today before harvesting your main farm ;)
As I understand it, the Snowman deco is guaranteed, yet with every snowball you collect the happiness rises. (Check out lvl 30 of the deco tower)
First off, THANK YOU for this nice little event, been wanting to build a snowman myself :D

(spoiler, dont continue if you wanna find out yourself, sorry but i dont know how to make these hide-box thingies) Edit: but now I do :D

Number of snowballs:
wildflower 1, corn 2, cabbage 6, wheat 20, roses 15, violets 20
eggs 1, pig 2, cows 5,
silo 0, orchards 0, composter 0, mill 0

It says "find snowballs when harvesting and producing" but only fields and stables give snowballs, not producing (silo, mill etc) Is that a bug or just ambiguous instructions?

(P.S.: @ moderators i suppose this belongs in the happy holidays thread, feel free to move this ;) )

See that panel on top of your post window? The 6th button from the left opens pull down menu with 5 optons. Highlight required text and click "spoiler". Simpler than making your morning coffe. :)

  • Thanks for the heads up.

Please leave this as its own thread.

And, are the Mill, Silo, Composter, not counting on purpose?

    Rice is only 35

I thought there would be some graphics to it, a snowman somewhere on the farm. Have I missed it or is there nothing more to it then a few numbers in the calendar informing you about current level and how many s-balls to next one?
  • gavinfarms (US1)gavinfarms (US1) US1 Posts: 2,273
Several crops fluctuate.  Sunflowers sometimes give 250 (220 is the norm).  I have noticed this with Rice as stated above and with roses as well.
  • All stages of the deco, from "Tiny snowman" to "Snowman family," are viewable on level 30 of your Deco Tower. The deco itself will be awarded at the end of the 3 day event.
  • @Kamilcom (GB1)  You can see all the decos on the 30th floor of the deco tower & the picture on the calendar changes as you progress to the next deco, mine is a Snowman Couple now, woohoo!! photo Spongebob_zpsba2a8721gif

I see we have 3 Sleigh decos on the 31st floor now too :)

@AlabasterGamer (US1) @RunsWivScissors (GB1)  Thanks guys. I'm aware of these. What I had in mind was something like "bees" event or actual Santa deco "tree", where the progress is shown in graphic rather then in numbers only. :)
  • @Kamilcom (GB1) I know its not exactly what your looking for, but you can sort of work it out. As its a 4x4 deco, the maximum it can be is a level 7 Snowman Family with 160 happiness, but the Family deco starts on level 5 so it will be a lot lower than 160 to reach that one. Mine is currently a level 4 Snowman couple with 40 happiness & each happiness point gets tougher, (I need 225 to next one now). So, maybe the Family deco starts at 50 happiness, because the horse racing decos are also 4x4 & they are level 6 with 60 happiness - Anyone got a Snowman family yet?

    Now my head hurts!

Mine is 32 , magnificent snowman
  • I have the snow family :) So cute!  I'm level 44.
  • I wonder if by leveling the happiness up the deco level rises too?

    Snowman Family level 43
  • Great information, but I'm still so confused!  :s

I can see silhouettes of snow people on level 30 (up to snowman family 5), so what does that mean?

My current happiness value is 13. What does that mean?

The picture on my calendar is still the tiny snowman, so am I still working to get the simplest deco?
  • As you harvest your level (happiness) goes up.  You will see the your snowman change.  It will top out at level 43.  If you have sunflowers and seaweed it goes real fast lol.

So once I hit 43 I get the deco and no more snowballs to add happiness?  What is the happiness point count of yours?
  • 47.  I'm wondering if it raises the happiness value of the deco.  Nobody has answered that for me yet.

Indeed, you are quite right! Thank you!

The decos in the tower are always silhouttes until you own them and build them on your farm to unlock them.

Collecting snowballs increases the happiness of the deco that you win at the end of the event - so far you have collected enough to get a deco with happiness 13.

The picture on your calendar shows which deco you would win if the event ended now.

As you get more happiness, the picture changes to a better & better deco & when you have happiness 43 you will be up to the Snowman Family & you can just continue to add more happiness to that (by collecting snowballs) until the event ends & you win that deco.
  • I wonder if we had to reach level 43 happiness before today's Day 7 page showed up.
I just reached level 43 happiness, but my deco is still the Level 4 one.

  • @AndyTwobeats (SKN1)  Keep going Andy, mine was still the snowman couple when I reached 43 but changed to the snowman family before 44. As its takes over 200 snowballs to get from 43 to 44, maybe it changes after 100 balls or something like that. :)

Can anyone tell me this?  Has the frequency of the doghouse rewards changed.  They seem more frequent.  This could just be my holiday-clouded mind, but it seems more frequent.

It is being so hard to increase the deco value now . mine is 44
  • Mira (US1)Mira (US1) Posts: 103
It's well over 6000 snowballs to get to 50 happiness.
