Hey everyone,

Please keep in mind that a lot of these things will make more sense once you see the event interface ingame!

This sounds interesting and fun! I'm looking forward to this event. :)

I have one question...Are the orders similar to the market contracts?

    Depends. Similar in what regard?

You cannot skip them like the market contracts and you will not give rewards for donations - that's what the hard work rewards are for.
They're presented in a list. You can choose to donate or just ignore the list if you would like to not take part for a week.

I meant having multiple items to donate at once like apples, milk, etc.

I thought of another question lol.

When we are able to help co-op members finish their orders, will we be able to help will all of the orders they had or just the last one? For example, if Player A couldn't finish their order for the first week but completed the others would we be able to help fill the order from the first week?

Ah, each order consists of a list of goods you need to donate. All at once, not subsequent donations over the course of the week.

Let's take an example. This could be a list (number of requests will be more than 3, requested amounts will of course differ):

    Chicken Feed - 100/100 donated
    Corn - 500/1,000 donated
    Cabbage - 500/500 donated

In that case only 50% of corn was donated and the order is fulfilled by ~83%. The remaining 17% for the whole order (50% of the list item corn) can then be compensated by other members.

HOWEVER(!) this does not mean that a level 100 player could just donate 500 corn for a level 20 player and everything would be done. Numbers will scale up depending on player level and requested good may change.
This means you will have to make up for 17% of their missing goods by donating an amount of goods that is scaled to your player level to keep the same difficulty for everyone helping.

Example behind the spoiler for those interested:

Let's say the level 20 player has donated 500/1,000 corn. A level 100 player wants to help them out on Last Chance Sunday (day 7).

The game could then ask you to deliver e.g. dandelions instead of corn (because you have progressed significantly farther) and would request 5,000/10,000 dandelion. Again 50 % of that list item is complete, but numbers and requested goods have been adjusted to player level.

These are examples with made up numbers, just to show how it will look. Not every request will show replaced goods, but it might happen.

I hope I didn't confuse everyone more than needed now. ;)

    I'm cautiously expectant. :)

Just deleated most of the comment, as reading OA again I believe Last Chance Sunday is every Sunday, so every week's issues with partially fullfilled orders will be dealt with separately each Sunday.

Since there are many other not yet clear "details", which as I said can determine the fate and taste of the event, I'll stay cautiously expectant till Monday. :)

  • It says that if you don't complete the tasks for the week you can still work on them the next week Say you missed finishing week 2, but were close, could you then complete week 2 and go on to week 3 during the 3rd week or would you have to wait until the next week to start week 3?
  • Can more than 1 person help fill someone's incomplete order?

What if someone is out of town all week, can the rest of the coop fill their order for them?

Does the person need to unlock their order to allow people to help them or will the game do that automatically.  Example player gets sick,  looses internet or computer crashes and they are unable to get online to ask for help.

Do the failures of some players effect the results for the whole coop or just those players?  For example we have someone offline due to surgery.  Now I am wondering if I am going to have to choose = remove them until they are able to be back online or punish the whole group by leaving them as an inactive member.

I keep reading the official post and trying to understand it better.  I know that there is always some mystery wait and see when it starts.  I just want to figure out as much in advance because we might have to make some changes to the coop to prepare for this event

You do not need to remove them. Removing them or leaving them will be the same (unless you can find someone more active to replace them.) They just have to stay inactive for the whole weak they are off. Just send them a message if they are going to be offline for the most of the week, they should NOT dontate anything for that week.
If someone leaves on Tuesday and is away for a week, they should NOT donate anything on Monday!!!
  • but if they open the order can't we finish it for them on Sunday?  If they are offline does an unopened/unaccepted order count as a declined order?

I would like to know that also.  If two or more players help fill an order do they have to each make up the whole difference  Or is the amount divided between them.
  • nice:)

  • So, if people aren't in all week, does the whole co-operative's score for everyone's final decoration go down?
  • Doe's the red dot member's count in this event? Or will we have to remove them from the coop
  • Wish we could get an answer on the red dot question

This was posted by Nafaru here.

"We're indeed taking available member spots into account for the drop chances.
Very good thinking right there and exacly the reason why we chose to take member spots as a measure.

A couple of 'missing' members won't hurt in that case. A cooperative with 65 available spots and 'only' 62 members, for instance, won't see a huge disadvantage.
However, if a big cooperative kicks out 90% of their players, they will have significantly worse chances of being successful.

Same goes for the overall event. Just cutting down on members won't help, you're actually better off if you can manage to top off your cooperative during the course of the event."

Thank you, but does people being in the co-op but not completing the tasks reduce the overall co-op deco happiness?

The Christmas event sounds very interesting and this will keep busy for this period of time.

But did you see the decos?

All are 7x7 like big decos from Island or Viking/Northern farm. All of you have you got enough space to put on your farm?

Because they look nice but we have just to see how really are looking

Is it safe to assume that all 3 farms will be used in this event? Similar to the Market?

I am very uncertain as to where I can put this size of deco in any of my farms.  I am having enough of a problem finding space for the new deco's for the revamped events.

Yea it appears that will result in lower happiness.

This is from the Official Announcement...

Every member can decide for themselves if they would like to contribute to one of the event steps. In case they already know they won't be around for the week, they can skip the respective order. However, this also means that the final reward will not reach its full happiness potential**.

I can make room for it on my farm but I don't know if I'll keep it out all the time. It just depends on what the happiness ends up being.

I would just assume that they will be and keep your barns fully stocked so that you'll be ready for anything.
  • Thank you Jess
  • The Santa Claus wishlist sound fun and interesting. :)
But: Am I the only one who also have noticed this announcement in the Racing Farmer:

Auch.. it seems like the comming 4-5 weeks will be extraordinary expensive for my poor farms, since I need horseshoes to train my horses, witch means I need to play the nothern light farm, and we all know how expensive it is to run an temp farm.
But of course I'll also want to help my coop with Santa Claus wishlist, which means I'll come to loose income for the products I should donate to Santa Claus.
  • Yes, I noticed that and am not too thrilled with them running simultaneously.  Of course, lots of gold will probably be used to do, or at least try to do, both.  Is not that the point for GGS?

What did Scrooge always say?  Bah, humbug.

Can you help anyone, or must they be in your coop?

You can probably only help the players that are in your co-op since everyone is working together to get the decorations upgraded.
