Coop Championship Again this Soon?

  • I totally agree with the people on here , its way too soon.  It doesnt give you time to build back up and what you win isnt even worth the effort.  I like the idea of the size of the coop competing against the same size.  It really isnt fair and its very tiring.

Last coop challenge, 2 coop colluded, then got advantage of the ridiculous 1 million reputation prime spending and there it was: 4 days out of 5 days of fun and intense team work crushed.

The prime spending is back and some of the same players are buying their way up the reputation board. Where is the fun? We already spent some gold to get in the top rankings, spend lots of time doing missions and like this in 24hrs and 2 prime spending of 1M reputation points in a row and all efforts can be gone. It puts a stress on the players and the coop. I understand that it is a business. Is GGS looking to find where is the breaking point between us finding the game fun enough and still squeeze money out? If yes, good job, you are very very close, oups you might have passed it for some of us.

Thank to the great people I meet along the way. If I stay its for them :-)))

Same as last time... Boycotting it and not buying gold.  My way of saying Thank you GGS for making a game that was fun, a full time job and a gold buying competition.

Keep it up GGS... At one point, your money cows will run dry or get tired of being abused!

Congratz Brat Pack for winning! (They will. ) Hope your barns are large enough to hold all those useless orchards!  LOL  I think the members of Brat Pack should be given some GGS actions so they can at least make a bit of money on their huge investment.  Would only be fair.

So glad that this over. DON'T BRING IT BACK UNTIL SPRING 2016, and please re-structure it so it is enjoyable and meaningful, instead of it being "The deepest wallet/Most desperate to win at any cost" contest that it has become.

  • I am the leader of BC Farm Co-op.  We are currently ranked 40th on the US1 server.  Dissapointed that the Co-op challege that ended today (10/31/15) came so soon again.  Even at my level (182) I find it difficult to restock my barns.  Enough.  We want this GAME to be fun, not a BURDEN.  We want the Challenge to be just that, not a pre-determined gimme.  Speaking for my co-op, we will officially be sitting out the next Challenge if it is in November, unless substantial changes are made. Enough already.  No more than once a month. Thank you, Barry.
  • I agree about the co-op championships.Having them so often takes the importance of your ranking away.I feel even once a month is too much. They also have way too many events going on at once. This leaves you to feel that you don't have a chance to slow down and enjoy the Game itself,it is just push push push as fast as you can go.I am a cooperative owner and if big farm does not change the championship frequency, I will ask my members to not participate but as we plan, not as big farm plans. This event used to be exciting ,now we dread it. Why does it matter what rank you place in the championship as a co-op if that will change again in 2 or 3 weeks,REALLY ?

Hey guys, Thank you for your thoughts on the CC. I can see that the overall opinion is that we pushed this event too much, and you would like to see it a little less. I can completely understand where you are coming from, and I will pass this feedback on to the developers.

  • Stan,

Thanks for taking our comments to heart and taking them to the Dev Team.  If you'd like, I'm willing to go with you and help you get the message across.

Ya know... There is a lot a loud mouth and a baseball bat can do.  Joe Pesci proved it!  LMAO!

Thanks again and hope you are successful.

  • As it currently stands the challenges are a wealth challenge - how wealthy are your co-op members that they can spend Real  cash on a challenge in a virtual world -- and notice that spending goes up to $799.99 in gold at a time. Poorer people should not compete // this is NOT a challenge but a profit opportunity / further fleecing of the customers

Here's an idea - create  temp farm (like island farm) with a set amount of dollars attached to it (say 10 million) and 7 days to make the most profitable farm (not current dollars but RATE of earnings). That would be a challenge - not a profit opportunity

Seriously, we have figured it out, the increased frequency is just increased profit, not a better game but more spending. MAKE THE GAME BETTER

This coop challenge thing is exhausting players. They are taking a week off to rest and many not coming back.Something has to change!!!

Well this is a blatant slap in the face.....another coop challenge is due to start in 41 hours despite all the criticism & lack of interest posts on here after the last challenge....and the challenge before that....and the challenge before that. The indifference that GGS shows towards the feelings & opinions of its players will bite them in the behind someday.....
  • I do not see what all the fuss is about.  If you think the event is run too often then just don't participate in it.  Skip it till you feel like participating.  No one expects everyone to participate in every event.  Tailor the game to your personal enjoyment.  And remember at all times that GG is a business not here for our enjoyment but here to make money.  The day they no longer find this game profitable is the day they will pull the plug on it and then when you go to play it simply will not be there.  But have no fear as another will be started by GG soon after.

It will be the case again for our group. I asked members to not participate if they didn't want to the last time around. Same sentiment this time around too. GGS wants people to buy that "buy gold get 25,000 in rps" deal and I guess it works for them.

Hey farmers, I have read through this discussion, and made notes regarding your feedback about the co-op championships. I will pass these concerns over to our development team during our next meeting. The co-op championships are a very important event for us, and we need to do our best to ensure that ALL participants can enjoy it. Thanks for the honest feedback.

There are 4 farmers in my family and we are all sick to death of these challenges... and we are in a top 10 coop. Seeing the count down timer yesterday has reinforced our decision to quit this game altogether. This game is no longer enjoyable.
  • And .... we're back. Another countdown for another coop challenge. The last one was finished October 26th and we have another starting up in 42 hours?

I don't know about you but it feels like our criticism was not taken seriously :(

I believe the last one finished on November 1st, not October 26. I could be wrong, I was once
  • The last CC ended on November 1st. This one will be starting in just a few hours. 2 weeks?!!!! Usually they do one during the temp farm/island and then one in between the temp farm/island. Why can't you go back to JUST doing it between the temp farm/island? It would be more interesting and fun for so many of your players. I have members thinking and talking about quitting BIG FARM completely because they feel they are being forced to do to much even though as a co op we have not really done every single CC when it comes around.
In regards to making it more even playing for lower leveled co ops. I agree. Why can't GGS do it like they do with George's silo where you compete with members close to your level. Our co op is ranked 39 so I know it wouldn't change much for us but they can group the co ops together like they do on the silo event and give lower ranked co ops their own rewards. If you can do it for George's silo then it can be done for the Co op challenge too. Good luck everyone getting GGS to listen to their players.
  • I don't have the CoOp challenge yet...Am I missing something here?

Click on the research tab (last tab) then select main farm on the drop down menu, you should see healthier pigs (click on it). Click on the pen with the beaker next to it to sign up for the research.

Our co-op has decided to focus on the challenge and work hard every couple of months since it comes around too often. If you feel there's too much pressure to compete in the challenge every time, it may be a good idea to find another co-op. I know players have left their higher ranked co-ops for smaller co-ops because of the CC. The game can still be enjoyable, you just don't have to participate in everything every time. :)
  • was using gold during the CC, but since it comes so often now, I decided to play it without gold.  I still do what I can with my coop, but it is gold free.  I am not wasting my gold on the CC!  I've played two CC's without gold have done really well, maybe not as good as with spending gold, but I'm perfectly happy and feeling no pressure like I did before.

Not only is it to soon it really needs to be changed up.  I am ticked off that I can come in 2nd or 3rd on a wildflower mission without using special seed and gold and earn more reputation points  than if if I come in 1st against 5 other players who do nothing.

I just used gold to  pop ss wildflowers because 1 of my other competitors had wildflowers in their fields.  They never harvested them so I ended up the only one who did anything and ended up with 18,000 reps for more wildflowers than I can do otherwise.
Why am I punished because people say they want to compete then opt out?  If they want to sit on their flowers or corn why do I get less points than if they had added wildflowers as they should?

Change the statistic used on reputation points.  People should not be punished because they have solo mission or have 5 other players who don't contribute to the challenge.

I agree about the solo missions. I get lots of them, sometimes even during the CC, and they are pretty much a waist off time. Someone told me that when you win to many missions, you will get solos. I don't know if that's true or not. Farm on...

Yes. My apologies, it started October 26th and ended Nov 1st.

I record all the dates when events start and end and see my mistake that I wrote earlier.

My issue is that some members want to go all out still, while others just don't care anymore. Our coop is pretty respectful of each other's values, and we're just doing normal missions at this point. No pressure to do more.

But I worry about those coops still struggling to keep members close during these coop challenges.

I agree with many of the comments here, and we in the Brat Pack also think the challenge comes way too often, but I'm wondering why these threads always, always, always have to devolve into Brat Pack-bashing. I guess it's true that "haters gonna hate."

I thought that missions were supposed to be randomly alternated... Today in 4 hours I have had 4 corn missions and 4 egg missions. Just another reason to stop participating in this lame 'challenge', whose outcome is already pre-determined anyway.
  • We haven't had a championship in a long time....if we aren't going to compete, why do I need library books...or upgraded fields...or duck ponds....what's the point of having a co-op if we aren't going to do anything as a co-op
