There is to much going on at one time

I forget to feed the dog, and forget that I have the Candy Farm. I am trying to find pumpkins, seems as if the last one always need gold to find it. Please can you slow it down a bit. We are trying to help new members, and Leaders don't have much time to enjoy their own farms. I gave up all of my other games I was playing just to play this one. It is so much work, that I don't have time to enjoy my farm anymore. Again please slow things down a bit. Thanks, from a tired and worn out Farmer

I agree that there is a lot to do, but I personally am at the point where all i do is what i feel like at the time, such as not doing certain events, only trying to do Halloween event in earnest and maybe increasing my money in the banks, i could care less about anything else, I have around 100 mill in bank and only do minimal on candy farm
  • I agree with kbahr, I just do enough to have fun, but not get stressed about it.   I'd like to do some of the events, but farm is not advanced enough, I guess, to ever be able to finish the, so I gave up on those, but will do the first few tasks if its doable to get whatever prize there is.   I don't do the Farmers Market, totally too stressful, and I can't figure it out. And the little tricky sellers give me too much stress.   I never opened the airplane area, someone posted about the effect that has on the ship loading, and I'm glad I read that post.  Didn't build the nursery.   I have the gourmet farm and flower farm, but don't do the other short term farms that pop up.   I love the hardworker event, that is well worth it for the prizes.   I do some missions, if I'm in the mood. Haven't joined a co op, the thought of that sends my stress off the charts.  So I just concentrate on the simple stuff, plodding along building all 3 farms up.  I get in my little pattern of knowing when stuff is ready to harvest, when the ship comes, and then you are forced to upgrade this or that to be able to load the ship, and then I get all stressed out about that until everything is running smoothly again.   Really enjoy the special events like the pumpkin search going on now, and even the stress of that is too much, but you can always hit that hint button and use up your gold.  After posting all this,   I think I am a basket case !!! lol !!!

being level 130 would make you think i am advanced enough to complete temp farms, NOT. I think they are a waste of time and money, could care less about them and only do them as a time waster, have only done the 1st upgrade on them

I'm level 153 and I couldn't care less about their nonsense.  I totally agree with your comments.  A few months ago, I've decided to play ONLY the 3 regular farms and race the horses.  The rest (The boat, island, etc) I don't even bother.  The game is a bit more fun that way.
  • I agree, I don't do horses or tractors...only use tractors for the 25,000 and exp. the horses are a waste of time. I just wish there were just a few missions going at once. I kept forgetting to feed the dog, water the trees, etc. I didn't have time to collect my produce and try to help new members :P OMG what a mess so I just stopped like you I am going to enjoy my farm
  • I like what SandraFarmGirl said about joining a Coop. The game does not tell new players they DO NOT HAVE TO JOIN A COOP TO PLAY. They join your Coop and waste time, it is like pull teeth to get them to play, do projects, and help with the researches. They stay in the red and you end up letting them go. All because they think they have to join a Coop and do nothing. OH, and they get the same perks and prizes same as the rest of the Coop even if they do NOTHING; so not fair so I let them go. I wish I could find 5 more serious members. We can't seem to get pass rank # 86 for the world

My main complaint about the coops is players saying how much they want to join your coop, then they join. After that they play solidly for a little bit (sometimes about 1 day), waste my time by me explaining how the coop works, and then never hear from them again. My biggest thing for anyone that wants to join one is be truthful about how you plan on helping out the coop. And if you are not serious about it do not waste everyone's time.

  • I was searching the forum looking for information on an event, and found this post. I am a bit surprised, shocked, and a disheartened as well, as many players are still saying there is too much going on at once, almost 5-1/2 years later. Not only that, but the frequency of events has increased since then as well.

I do wonder though, if there are any players that like to have all these possibilities of events going on at the same time. I haven't met one yet, but maybe there are some out there?  If there are not, is there any hope of the developers listening to us and reducing them?
It is all about choice.  This game offers many opportunities to enjoy as much or as little of the events as one will want.  Many who only want to participate in CCs will do so and the others only at a casual level.  While other players like much more and so do more.  It is all a matter of choice.  Enjoy!  <3

My post it was mostly directed at the fact that there are still many players who complain there is too much going on at once. The main point was that the players have apparently been complaining about this for over 5 years now.

Enjoy? - No. I wouldn't have said this if I enjoyed it. It does not always feel like a choice and/or the choices are not always ideal ones. It does often feel overwhelming to have so many events thrown at us all at once. You, ChickadeeQuilter, keep repeating the same thing, regardless how many players state basically the same concern/complaint. It's almost like talking to a brick wall. Either say you are consistently passing this feedback to the developers, or say flat out that they refuse to reduce the events.

Bottom line " they do not care " as long as we the players keep putting our money into the game!
Want change stop spending - sorry but is it not clear yet that all they(GGS) cares about is how much you are spending here ?!!  o:)
I guess, in my logic, they should care what we think; part of the company's reputation is based on what players think & say.  If the players/customers don't like the way they do business, they will eventually no longer have a business. That goes for any type of business, not just a game. Or maybe am I way too old-fashion with this way of thinking?

So, apparently you don't actually play the game?
What you're saying would be true if there wasn't such a thing as a co-op, and the fact that almost all events nowadays are rewarded according to their competition against other co-ops.
In other words -- unless you're in a co-op that absolutely doesn't compete, you're letting your fellow players down unless you take part in virtually ALL events.  And a sufficiently supportive part, at that.

So it's far from being simply a matter of choice.

There are a few co-ops made mostly of burned-out long time players who finally just had a belly full of all the crap and competition and don't care how they rank or what prizes they win.  In those co-ops, you actually can pick and choose what and how much you'll do and know that your fellow players are not adversely affected by how much you contribute.  But they're a little hard to find.
Oh yes, I play this game and I am well aware of all the choices, well aware of the lab situation, of the jam situation, etc..  I find that the coop leader sets the tone of what coop event are participated in and we players do our best and don't worry about other event.  In the end it is our choice - my choice. If I want to go and do my own thing I could do a solo coop it would be my choice.  But it is more fun to be in a coop with others. Finding the right coop that suits your style of farming might take a while, but keep searching and you will find one.

If you like you can join our co-op.  You can play the CC or not all the events are voluntary, we don't do the projects really and all the research is done (except for recruitment and I have no intentions of adding more people).  I'm the leader and I don't even play all the events and that includes the CC.  There is not a lot of chat and some are just there to farm quietly and they don't participate in anything.  And that is okay.  The game is no fun when it becomes a chore.   You or anyone else that needs a place is welcome, just send me a PM.

Thanks for your invite.  Fortunately I've already found a good home.  It's nice because, although we have no pressure whatsoever to play any event, most of us have big enough farms and like the game well enough that we do fairly well in any event.  Almost the best of both worlds!

If I was you, I'd advertise your co-op the way you invited me to it.  There are a whole lot of players who want to be teammates, but without having to deal with all the GGS garbage.  And more are being created with each update.

Been playing about two weeks only because Facebook is upgrading Farm Town which I have played since 2006 and I am finding this Big Farm way to overwhelming and the focus is on trying to get us to use real funds to buy gold for a stupid game.  I have much better things to do with my money than buy gold for a game that is not that important.    There is way way way too much to do and do not get the collection thing at all nor the farm machinery tractor can't figure what they hey they want done now a bunch of other farms like dream farms are just too much and it takes WAAAAAAAAY to long to have upgrades to buildings and crops.   This is NOT really fun and so likely will delete my game here once Farm Town is functional again which will be soon.    The creators are having too much and to many things needing done but the time factor to do them is NOT there or possible like loading the ship can't even get stuff to load as got to build some damned thing or something and the crops take 4-8 hours to grow which is stupid so never get the ship loaded fully it is asinine.    Shorten time to build and for the crops this a game not real; life and even in real life things on a farm are NOT that way at all I was raised on a farm and have livestock, chickens, goats, have had cows, goats etc.   This is out of sync of with reality and not fun as a game I would rather read or play a board game if this overwhelming status continues.   I will NOT be recommending this game to ANYONE

@Gerrin (US1) I can tell you at one time not to long ago this game was fun & folks wanted to be on to play & chat with the other great folks here. I joined the game about 9 months after the was first introduced to the USA. Be 8 years this August if I stay that long.
Just not the case any more - they care about 1 thing & 1 thing only

Why is there a co-op championship event almost every weekend. It would be nice to have a weekend off.
