hmmm. ok thank you Victoria. gives me hope that this could be a fluke. I have cleared cache and other such things, but still shorter time.

To me it seems normally the themed events run 6 days. I try to do one task each day. When this latest hawaii event started - counter says only 4 days. Other in my co op have same thing so not a glitch with just me. Looked round on forums and have not found any other comments regarding this. I know my searching can be hit or miss sometimes - but I haven't found anything. Wondering if anyone else has seen this. Is this a new thing for all events? Having less than one day for each task isn't really do able. I find it hard enough to do some of the events in 6 days if other things going on too - ie co op challenge or easter egg stuff or..... so
    1. wondering if others also have shortened time for current Hawaii event
2 Is this a one time thing or new standard for ALL future themed events.

    Thanks all.

Read the posts above yours lelkilroy! Yes, this time the event is 1 day shorter, it already has been confirmed. We still don't know why... perhaps another update is foreseen and things may interfere with each other (?). We look at it as another challenge, to try to finish the event in a shorter time.

An example of ggs trying to get people to use gold, that way they can put in more events to force people to buy and use gold

i keep seeing you guys mentioning that you can choose what difficulty level you wish to complete the task in..
how do you do that? i always thought it was automatic to the level xp you are.. I'm lvl 48 so i automatically get the lvl 43-54 difficulty setting.. where and when do i select what difficulty i want to compete in (if it is possible)
sometimes i wish i could do 1 lvl down so i don't have to sit at my computer setting alarms every 3 hours of the night and only sleeping or on here farming and nothing else..

Once you have completed the 3rd difficulty (you probably have that one now), and built the deco on one of your farms, next time the same event comes around, you can (or have to) choose. This goes for eache event extra.

I noted the times at the start, this event was doubley unusual for started immediatley after the previous event. It started at 10:00 (GMT+1) Wednesday 13th May and initially was timetabled to finish at 23:00 Monday 18th May - 5 days 13 hrs (133 hrs) which is unusually quick. The finish was changed to 10:00 Wednesday 20th May.

Anyone else finding that the collecting of the flower blossoms is incredibly slow?

Corn seems to be the crop with the most consistent blossoms, but even that is sometimes as low as 2-3 per round in 6 fields. Pigs and chickens are getting blossoms for only 1/3-2/3 of a production round. I grew special cabbage in 6 fields and only about half of those fields produced the 18 blossoms and the others none!!! Wheat was better, but takes 6 hours to produce and only 14 hours left to go!

I don't have any of the flower seeds which would apparently produce better blossom drops. Any tips as to how I can improve blossom drop rates? I still need over 1100 blossoms at this stage!

It felt normal to me, I usually do continuous chickens & chicken feed, plus composter & silo & event seeds if I have a lot. Violets are pretty good, Cow feed is great if you have time & orchards are always a good source, especially cherries....... Good luck!!

Thanks, RunsWivScissors - good to get someone else's impression. I'm not sure I am going to make it in that case!!! I feel so close as the rest of the challenge has gone really well and this feels like it's a completely different level!
  • am totally disappointed  :'(

for 42 lvl players also 1200 cabbage and for 100 lvl player only 1470  what a discrimination :( lower lvl players not able to complete events on time . do something regarding this

    new player
  • I thought the happiness factor decreased your cost, why than on the Island Farm does it add to the cost of growing and producing?

So just how high are the new numbers for this event?

10,500 apples for level 3 ????  Same number I had for the previous event. Guess this is another one I'll not make...
  • Tralfazz (US1)Tralfazz (US1) US1 Posts: 136
OK I started the event at level 3. Made it through to the 6th stage and it's asking for 10,500 apples? Is that the correct number? The old Hawaii had 7,200 for the highest collection of apples...
  • I have not gotten that far, but I would say no that is not the correct number.
  • amyk (US1)amyk (US1) Posts: 1,201
That is the correct number of apples for level 3.  I used all my seaweed fertilizer.
  • There are lots of unusual numbers in events at the moment, its deliberate while they assess best numbers after the addition of the new levels apparantly.

I needed over 20,000 apples on level 5, so 10,000 on level 3 doesn`t sound too bad.
  • :s:/

Critism: What's wrong with you GGS. I'm playing the 3th level... (so there are still 2 levels above me) and this is the one i Always play. I've never had so much trouble in finishing this one (if I even will). I just compared the numbers with the previous version... collect apples 10 500  instead of 4400, sea shells up to 1300 (instead of 1100), same fopr milk and Coconuts...

I do not have a factory farm... so these numbers like 10k of apples are insane. I wonder how much u need on the 4th and 5th level. So either you give us more space on the main farm or give us reasonable amounts. But none of this will happen... As these increases are for more gold use I guess.  ANyway thanx for ruining the event

Flair for Farming - lvl 5

    2,650 cabbage
    1,650 coconuts
    12,000 milk
    2,150 shells
    20,050 apples
    2,800 hibiscus flowers

I don't have a production farm.  I finished it first thing yesterday (Sat) morning when I unloaded my feed mill, silo and composter.  I never used any gold.  I played less for this event than I normally do but if someone has a full time job, it would be tough to get through it with limited playing time.

I am so tired of the recurring/continuing bugs in this game. The coconuts are not crediting properly again.  I should have had about 100 from special seeds, cows, etc., Maybe more.  Not one added.  I am so glad that due to real life issues, I picked a lower level in Version 2.

Reloaded (that ridiculous answer to everything) and those did count from a cherry orchard.  Send a ticket for the missing ones?  Waste of time.

  • Frankly I don't care too much. The new decoration is 6x5 and it has messed up all my original plan.
  • I started with this series of quest, unfortunatedly the second quest is to collect 630 coconuts by doeing jobs on the farm. An other quest im not going to make........... This will take me days to collect. I cannot sit 24/7 behind the screen to play the game.

OMG I am SO glad that I am not the only one that is really annoyed by that.... I was thinking I was being way too OCD Smiley

You get coconuts from everything on your farm, so they are not usually too bad to collect. Keep your Mill, Silo & Composter running full time, they will help speed things along. :)

and here was me being really pleased with the 6x5 (and 6x4) decos as they gave me a little more flexibility (and the chance to put my composter somewhere better and thus squeeze in another cowshed)  lol

I am doing Level 6 of the "New" Hawaii Event.

I think 3300 seashells for task number 4 will prove to be a bit too high for a week long event.
  • @gavinfarms (US1)  It is proving to be very slow going, especially as they only appear in fields & orchards. The increase from level 4 to 5 was only 600, from 5 to 6 it is 1150, which is a pretty high jump. :o
  • Hey,
    is there spreadsheet for this?
    thanks
