Oh that's slightly different to mine.
    Collect fertiliser 70
    Begin production of apples 6x
    I am level 144

I was assigned difficulty level 3 to complete on both my farms.  I am level 86 on one farm (US1 server) and level 82 on my other (WWW1 server).  On my level 86 farm, first task of the New Mysterious Asia Event requires Collect 70 Fertilizer and Begin Production of Apples 5x.  Same fertilizer task on my level 82 farm, but the apples requires 6x.

ps. anyone else notice that there are now 6 difficulty levels indicated at the bottom of the event window main screen? I thought before it was only 4 (or it was 5?).

I'm level 139...I'll post my tasks below so we can see the differences.....

Task 1: Collect 70 fertilizer & Begin production of apples x6....Reward: 3 rice seeds & 50 premium chicken feed

    Task 2: Find 360 paintings....Reward: 50XP & 6 Rice seeds

Task 3: Collect 1,525 eggs, collect 3,800 cabbage, collect 970 rice. Reward: 90,000 farm dollars, 40 fertilizer, & 30 premium pig feed

Task 4: Find 800 cherry blossoms Reward: 90XP.....Gold to skip: 1,650

Task 5: Feed pigs 46 times & collect 460 pig feed. Reward: 90,000 dollars & 3 rice seeds...gold to skip feeding pigs: 825.... gold to skip pig feed: 825

Task 6: Collect 2,000 Origami cranes Reward: 180XP & Artistic dragon dance deco (77HP).......Gold to skip: 1,650

How many apple orchards do you guys have? I have 6 so I'm wondering if that's what determines how many apple productions we have to start?

I have 7 apple orchards :D yet it asks for 5x in my case.
Im pretty sure it's farm level dependant, so I guess the change-over from 5x to 6x must be close to lvl135 :sunglasses: since im lvl 132 and you are lvl 139

Ah, still cant get the hang of multiple quotes

Previously there were 4 difficulty levels, now there are 6 :D I checked back in the official announcements, thats exactly what they promised:

"This event will now offer two new "Farm Specialist" difficulties for experienced players, and of course offer new rewards with it!"

My husband and I both have 4 orchards He is level 139 and has to start 5 times, I am 143 and 6 times. At first I tought the change would be level 140, but thats not the case.

Edit:We checked the rewards and it is getting weirder. He gets 3 rice seeds and 80 blue chicken feed, I get 3 rice seeds and 50 blue chicken feed
  • I'm level 69 with 3 apple orchards and need to start apples 6 times!

So doesn't  seem to depend on level or number of orchards.

ooh, just found another oddity.  Checked my rewards for task one to see if they were the same or different on my two farms like the apples.
My level 86 farm which requires the apples 5x, has reward of 3 Rice seeds and 80 premium chicken feed.
My level 82 farm which requires the apples 6x, has reward of 3 Rice seeds and 50 premium chicken feed.

So, higher level farm requires less apple starts, but rewards more premium chicken feed.

(and yes, I double checked, triple checked,  and then got my glasses and checked the numbers again)

To answer your question Jess, - I have 3 level 6 apples orchards on both my farms. Exactly the same, so I don't think that is part of the equation.

Hmmm...I just don't know what to think about it. Its definitely weird......
  • Why we cannot choose the difficulty level of events any more? I have no interest playing the event for level 5 type of ornament. I'll finish it few days early even without actually playing it and will get the decoration that is completely worthless for me... What's the point?

Because it is new you have to finish level 3 again. If you've finished level3 you vcan choose difficulty again.

level 148, and have 4 level 7 apple orchards

    1st task:
    - 70 fertilizer
    - 5x start production apples

    2nd task:
    340 paintings

One of my members who has level 138, has to start 6x prod. apples (and has 6 orchards).

    My reward = 3 rice + 80 premium chickenfeed / her reward = 3 rice and 50 premium chickenfeed

    Riddles, riddles, riddles............. (???)

  • I checked the german forum and there was a post from @Nafaru that the different amounts where intentional and probably wil change in the future
  • Is there any way to choose to play for old decorations? I usually collect same style decorations since it creates more "pleasing to the eye" style on the farm. New decorations completely disrupt it.

    Heyhey,

as you may have realized, the quest objectives for the Asian event differ a little this time.

We've been trying to create a more streamlined experience with the new difficulty stages and are hence still analyzing if the task difficulty needs adjustments. Therefore you may see differing values in tasks you've previously known.

What's important, though, is that no task (apart from the new difficulty levels of course) has become harder to finish. The tasks either remained the same difficulty or have become a little easier.

We would like to make sure that all themed events stay a great experience, even with the new difficulty stages. Of course they are also meant to stay challenging, especially in higher difficulty levels.

I hope this can shed some light on confusion that may arise if you spot different task objectives.

    Regards,
    Steffi

Thank you Steffi for the update!
Does that also account for why a lvl 69 farmer has to begin apple production 6times, and a lvl 132 farmer only 5times with a higher reward ie slightly more chicken feed (on task 1)..?

Thanks for the table, but unfortunately so far the info gathered barely overlaps with yours, in fact it seems very much level-independant.. :confounded: How and where did you get the numbers?

Folks are reporting experiences different from the information in that table though.

Summarizing what's been noted so far...
1-The game levels listed as dividing lines for classification to which event difficulty level you are assigned are incorrect on the table for Big Farmer I & Big Farmer II. (and the assignment mechanism in game seems to be buggy in addition)

2-Task 1 / Big Farmer I  is being reported as needing 70 Fertilizer not 60 (also, says dung on table instead of fert)

3-Task 2 / Big Farmer I is being reported as 340 Ink Drawings not 320.

Thanks for all the discussion, I am level 74, I only have 3 apple orchids and commenced with collect 70 fertiliser and start 6 apples. It is all great fun. I don't have changes to report just yet.

1 - I'm going to leave the titles like they are now. This may still contain faults.
2 - Changed dung to Fertilizer. Thanks for reporting that.

The amounts seems to differ a lot, but I had another go on it. Let's see how it turns out. Either people are following version A or either they are following version B.

I am going to stick my head out now, ready to have it chopped off (but gonna say it anyway):

I - for one - am not that pleased with all the "ready to the last gaiter button" data on the forum, within 1 hour after starting a new event, @sim533
:( Forgive me for saying so.

Building up a spreadsheet from scratch, as we all collect the data along the road, by playing the game and figuring out things ourselves, is OK by me (because hard working to get there together is involved and we had at least a chance to figure things out ourselves).

But putting all data ready on the forum, very early after launching the event, is a bit too much / too quickly IMHO. You did exactly the same with the Organic Market: all of a sudden all levels of updates of the market stalls + images could be found in the forum - before any of us did even get a chance to find out about it ourselves....

It takes all the surprise (and thus fun-) elements away.... and makes me wonder: can you somehow read/crack the codes behind the different game elements of BF, @sim533??

I was just wondering how come we cant pick the level we want to do?
We always had to finish the 3rd level (and build the end reward on our farm), before we could chose what level we wanted to play, the next time that specific event came around.

Well, now that the Asian event has changed from 4 levels (3 levels + 1 Farm Specialist level) into 6 levels, we will have to start from the beginning again, which means: we all first have to finish the 3rd level again.

    Hope this makes sense!  ;)

Because of the new decos, this is looked on as a new event.  Everyone must do level 3 over again to unlock the deco in the tower, after which, when this event comes around again, you'll be able to pick your level.
  • Level 69, 5 apple orchards, I require 70 fert and 6 apple starts.
