Why are they rolling out the themes back to back?????

I was just curious as to why these themes are coming out back to back? Are we ever going to be able to work our main farms again at any time? There is not enough room to try and focus on all of this stuff at once(Theme, islands, market stuff too),my coop members have been backing off and not doing the island or the themes to often now.

  • It is beyond ridiculous, you never get any parts for co op because they always have 6 things going at once, it is having a adverse effect on the game as players are quitting left and right. How do they expect anyone to keep up with all this? You harvest and this plethora of objects flying around, half don't even total anymore, sorry GGS but your gonna shoot yourselves in the foot as much as I like this game the way it is transforming is making myself and most players I know are losing interest at a rapid pace.

You don't have to do everything. GGS is just giving more options to players. The more options we have the more time players play.

Do what you want to do, Happy Harvesting!

As others have said, just because it is there doesn't mean you have to do it all.  I have 2 farms, one lvl 105 the other 62 and I've never done an island event and probably never will.  I started the horse ranch on the bigger farm and wished I hadn't so I've never bothered with it on the newer farm.

That's the great thing about this game.  It's all there, all these parts and events, but you don't have to do them if you are not inclined.

Perfect example.  No Pain No Gain/George's Silo whatever you want to call it started...I'm not opening it on either farm.  :)

  • Your misunderstanding my post..with all these other events we are not getting the parts for co op projects, all we getting is things that do not pertain to the co op..we are at a standstill because of it, take teamwork pieces..3 in 3 weeks? I need 230 more just for one project, keep on praising these devs because you and them will likely be the only ones left here

I was responding to the OP not you.  I'm still getting lots of collectibles on both farms.

The reason for the back to back themes is simple, GGS makes more money, in doing the themes more people are tempted to use gold to complete them. Using gold allows them to complete the tasks, in turn, they have to spend real money for it. Very simple. This is the  reason I have always been against the back to back events even tho people criticize me
  • I agree with most of what was said here.  GGS is throwing so many different things at us and at the same time that the game has lost its direction.  Since they are so money obsessed, I've decided to simply play the game the way it was before, which means, NO Island, no, boat, no greenhouse, no nonsense.  I do play, when and if it's convenient for me, the market as it offers a slightly higher profit margin, but I don't go our of my way to do so. Even the idiotic "daily missions" we have to do, I don't do them all the time.  I mean, when your tractors are maxed out, what is the point of getting 30,000 certificates...  Pointless.  Also pointless and certainly a gold pit is the co-op comp.  I'm the Leader of my co-op and I rarely participate.  Just another gimmick from GGS to get your cash to buy gold to push your jobs.

So I farm... but getting more and more bored of this mercantile endeavors of GGS.

  • I don't do missions -at all-, they are setup for you to lose at the last second if someone puts gold into it and BOOM! your hard work goes down the drain.  And yes, people will tell you that it doesn't matter if you are first or last, it's how much everyone has made that counts.  Not for me, the ONLY thing that counts is the effort I put, the REAL effort I put and if I want first, I don't care it's a less rewarding first than a first where some douche decided to use gold to pass everyone.

For the boat, I do it all the time, but I don't EVER do a full boat, I do the 4 cargo and that's it, it'll come back 10 hours later I don't care the least bit.

The islands, I do which one I prefer and I do them to a certain extent which varies from island to island, some island I may even not do at all as I think they are pure gold sink.

All in all, I care little at what this games throws at me, I do which one I like, missions I care little about so I don't do them because of the gold cheatting crap.
  • I agree with @rocnrobn, I just choose what I want to do. I didn't open the Island this time because I need to focus more on my other 3 farms right now. I have enough seeds to fill the ship but if I didn't I wouldn't care at this point. I have a lot of real life drama going on right now & Big Farm has always been my way to relax & escape so I refuse to get stressed out over a game when I can simply ignore certain things. For a while, I ignored the weekly events because I had all of the decos and just focused on the temp farms. At times, I ignore the horses because I'm just not in the mood. Right now I choose to ignore the temp farm and focus on the weekly events because we can get new decos. Having so many options is a good thing since we're not all interested in the same things.

Anyway, my point is......I understand it can be overwhelming with so many things going on at once but the key is to not let it overwhelm you. The weekly events, temp farms, horse challenges, etc. will keep coming around. If you can't or don't want to deal with it this time, there's always next time. IMO, its not about a race to complete everything but to take your time and enjoy the experience with the game. :)

Well said Jess, my sentiments exactly and I do that very thing....it is after all.. A GAME...do we need the definition ?

But I think AND I am enjoying the themes and NEW DECOS that we have been screaming for........btw the WHEEL is way over due !

  • I enjoy the variety as well :).  Collectables are there if you farm regularly.
