How to delete cookies?

I've learned how to clear the cache, but I was wondering if someone can give a quick tutorial on how to remove cookies from my desktop computer. With the new advertisement features in place, I've read about so many problems and am concerned these ads may be leaving cookies on the computer.

It depends a bit on your browser. I use Firefox and to clear cookies you pretty much do the same as clearing your cache.. Go to your browser's history and select "clear history", there should be a list there, of things you can clear. Both cookies and cache are on that list. I assume the other browsers work in the similar way. :)
  • Interesting, I use Firefox too & do it a different way.
I click on Tools >> Options >> Privacy tab >> Remove individual cookies
This will show you a list of all cookies on your computer & you can select which ones to delete or clear the whole list.

You are right, Scissors! I was just thinking it would be easier for someone who just got a hang on how to empty the cache to be able to remove cookies pretty much the same way and at the same time :)

And there's always the option to have your browser set to not remember or keep cookies at all. that way all cookise get removed every tim you close your browser, right?
  • Exactly, Mina0o....that is how I have mine removed....and I am madly in love with Salmiak!! PRECIOUS!!

  • thank you for your advice.  I'm actually using Chrome but, based on the instructions provided for other browser, I was able to translate it and delete cookies (settings -> advance settings -> privacy/security -> view files -> delete cookies).

So nice to have people who can help like this   :)
  • cookies... mmmm... :cookie: :cookie: :cookie:
