This has been my thought since I first got the gourmet farm. When I couldn't build something on the new farm, I was so confused as to why it was telling me there was another building/upgrade that needed to be finished first. Of course I realized it later, but I thought to myself, it's another farm, why can't I build something on this one just because I'm upgrading on the other one? I see no flaw in doing one upgrade/build/demolish per farm, but in my opinion it is extremely time consuming to have only one upgrade/build all the way around. I think most players would enjoy this game a LOT more if they could build something on one farm and upgrade of demolish a building on the other.

People want to make progress, not be held back by unfair limitations. Impossibly slow progression makes people get irritable, bored, and unhappy, and bored and irritable people are more likely to quit the game altogether. Happy, well entertained people, on the other hand, are, IMHO, more likely to spend gold to give that "normal" progress a boost or buy a great decoration. Just a thought. :)

I agree, and why does it have to take so long, what is the point in that?

I agree that each of the permanant farms should have their own building slot. Even just one is all we are asking. I was confused at first as well when I tried to build the windmill on the gourmet while upgrading a field on my main farm.
As for the event farms, if they are only temporary for 30 days and have to be started from scratch every time, I am not seeing the "point" unless you have the time and money to do them and from the sound of things, it takes away the cash you need to maintain your permanant farms. All well and good for the higher lvl players that can handle it, but that could be devestating to a lower lvl that is still establishing more than one farm already. And to take up my one and only building spot? I think I will pass.

If it wasn`t for the players buying gold, there would be no game & no devlopment, then you wouldn`t have the option to play it for free. GGS isn`t being greedy, they are also not a charity.

Are you a employee of GGS? I'm getting sick of seeing you come on here and always defending their game, especially when there are so many things wrong and dont work. What are you bucking for a moderators job? If your not a official employee of GG then keep your opinions to yourself.

I second that motion.. but as well if we are going to spend the money to build why not let us go ahead and build as many as we want or at least 2 :)

This is a strategy game. The point of it is to force you to decide which build/upgrade is more important to your farm at any given time. Which you can afford to do now and which can wait until later.

People who ask for more than one building slot (and believe me, players have been asking for a long time and on every server forum) want to progress their farms quickly. That creates boredom. When you have nothing left to do but plant and harvest players lose interest and leave the game.

To greatbay: There is no need to be rude to Foghorn or anyone else here.

Well Duffy I'm giving up on support and this forum, sure other players can help others with game info and such but when players are asking about more serious issues like losing gold or game mechanics they want a official answer from GGS representative, not another players opinion or belief, thats why they have moderators but they never seem to get much chance to give any official response either, just the generic answer, "send a ticket to support " which we all know how that turns out, there is no response. So I'll be on my merry way, just another disgruntled player who will NEVER buy gold again.Adios!

I agree that this is a strategy game. In the beginning when building time is not as long I too wanted to build more than one thing at a time, but now I am at level 74 and sometimes I have to save up the money to do an upgrade and therefore one building slot is sufficient.

I agree completely. It takes 7.46 million dollars to upgrade the Gourmet Farm shop to level 6. That's a lot of eggs and cabbage!!

I say yes to this as well. As a relatively new player, navigating forum is a task within itself. Developers might be surprised to learn just how many players would like the ability to build on each farm separately. I might also add that it would be a consideration to use decorations in storage on any farm. I had to purchase decorations to keep happiness level and then ran out of room on my farm as it was upgraded. I would store and rearrange to the point that I now have 4 pages of decorations that do not fit.

I personally do not do the event farms. Why bother wasting your time and money on something that is only going to be around for 30 days. Instead, use it on your main farm, gourmet farm, and flower farms.

Doesn't seem to me the creators are all that interested in keeping those of us who don't intend to purchase gold. I started this game once before and quit because it became drudgery rather than fun. I'm a little beyond the point I quit last time but I'm becoming exasperated with it again.

I totally Agree that there should be ability to build on each individual farm so the wait times are more even. Sometimes it is discouraging to have to wait to build things on different farms to accomplish goals you're trying to reach.

As far as the Island Farms, remembering games are about the fun, they seem like good challenges!
If you have the patience and really like to be Challenged, No Problem! Time to Push Ahead I say.

Maybe if the building time was shorter as in when we first start the game. It would be nice to be able to upgrade something as we start a new building or to upgrade the farm and bull doze while a building is being built, just to be able to do 2-3 things at once would be great.....I enjoy playing and come back every day to play, someone said they started a long time ago and quit, I did as well but trying to give it a chance again as I do enjoy the game for the completions between the people of the towns... lol......but it the limits of which it take to build, grow or make fertilizer was a little less that would make a great deal of difference..... :)

The building times are outrageously long after you reach a certain level, but while you do need time to raise the money required for the upgrades or new buildings, your progress is also halted by having to wait for one thing to finish in order to build, upgrade, or demolish another. People who use gold are at a much greater advantage in every aspect of the game. The developers know they'll lose money if they allow one build per farm instead of one for all three, because people are less likely to use gold to skip an upgrading or building process if they know they can have more than one build going at the same time. I mean if I'm going to spend real money to progress in the game, I would rather use the gold on library books or decorations, or something like the water tower. Those are much better investments than paying to upgrade or build something that's going to get built or upgraded whether you use the gold or not.

From what I've seen, more people quit the game because they've come to a point where they can no longer get anywhere unless they buy gold (jobs, school, kids, other real life things make it impossible to play for the much longer hours it takes to progress in the higher levels) and even people who do buy are going to reach a point where they just don't want to spend any more money.

I think more people would stay (and maybe even buy a little gold in the future) if they could get more things done in shorter, more acceptable/workable periods of time, real money or no real money.

You don't ever need to buy gold to play this game. Check out Herbs in the rankings. Beautiful farm only using in-game gold.

True! Although it takes a lot of patience and time to achieve what he did. I have that kind of patience and time, but not many people do. I've had a lot of people tell me they quit because they couldn't get anywhere without using gold, but I've only heard a few say they find it easy to save every gold piece they make/win. I guess it all depends on the person.

I have found that levels 30-60 are the most difficult to get through money and time wise. Once you get past those the money starts to flow with your upgraded Flower Shop and Bakery. Just keep those ingredients up. Also keep your farmhouse and cabin upgraded to reduce building time.

You might call it a strategy game, I'm calling it a Waiting game! It takes way too much time for everything! I also will NOT be buying anymore gold for this reason!

This is just a game. Really just something to kill time. No one ever said you had to buy gold or even play the game for that matter. Many people only use in-game gold and do just fine. I mean no offense to anyone but there is a lot of complaining instead of constructive criticism.

Guilty here, Farmer Jo Jo! I was doing a lot of that myself, but the more I play and learn (both in the game and here in the forums) the more I realize that most of the things I complained about were things that no longer seem unfair or problematic. :)

Very well put. I actually had a co-op member get angry with me because I said this was a game I did for enjoyment and didn't/couldn't spend all day playing. I started another co-op that is just for beginners and there is no pressure for them to have to buy gold or complete a challenge or Mission. This is where they can learn the ins and outs of the game at their own pace and on their schedule. Then if they move on to another co-op that is more challenging that is fine. Sorry I digressed. Anyway I agree that the game needs to be more work force friendly
