At my end it seems that movie feature goes from reasonable to silly. It started with about 20 movies a day, mostly without issues and mostly giving reward. It gradually dropped down to 1 or 2 commercials, often bugged and without a reward:
After the last update I nearly exclusively get black screen with "powered by supersonic" at the top right corner of video screen, which ends up with an error message and doesn't give reward. Appart from that the TV screen at the bottom of our play area always shows video available, while there is nothng more then a blank screen uppon clicking the play button.
So after all that testing we finally have a finished product.
in general I quite enjoy the game but this movie thing is a total disaster for GGS. At least I'm not tempted anymore to play any of those ads (and risk malware) as 3k in dollars is just ironic. Not sure why they still keep those supersonic ads after all the bad feedback.
Guess I'll just have to get used to ignore the popcorn screen as I do the market vendor that tries to sell me chicken feed as surprise for 45k.
I ended up paying 95k for my regular chicken feed.
I will not ever make a deal with the the "Vendor" again.
Erm..... best way to get gold is to NOT play the game, not by watching ads!!!!!
If we get back to the ads, I understand that rolling out the ads as they were, would bankrupt the advertisers, so I understand the reduction in the number of ads, until more advertisers are found.
I also understand why the mystery boxes are given instead of the choices, because it was beyond their programming capability, but there are other ways to do it than giving us junk we will never use.
Ad tokens we can swap for whatever we want?
Finding that seeing how many ads I can watch for just 1 second before it crashes is way more fun than getting any rewards, must be sending the supersonicads server mental

Still having problems with supersonic ad. Was already down to about 5 ads before the update and was getting very annoyed with that ad, and having to frequently refresh game because of it. Now with the rewards are so small, and I haven't seen any gold, seriously thinking that they are not worth the effort :-(
And seeing how the ads will be voluntary, why nag about the awards? Just ignore the option then.
I did very well without buying gold before this video element was implemented - and I am sure I will do well again without watching them at all. I have over 30.000 gold, all by saving (and especially watching Omar's cart like a hawk, if and when i am online) ..... I use it wisely and sparingly.

The videos ask if I watch any of a list of shows, and if I do not I get ousted. After several of these, got a "sorry blah blah"..Finally one about eye exams, way too long, played and I get this?? Clicking on see more just freezes it.

I just came on to find 17 new posts. Since it is already 2PM GGS time, I want to post this and then I will read them and post a more detailed message. Hopefully a CM will see it
and pass it on so the game can go back to the other ads and fix it so it WORKS!!!!!
I'm on the US1 Server, a Level 131 player.
Since the Nov. 3rd update and the change to the Surprise Boxes for the movie ads, playing Big Farm is no fun!!
Just when I thought things were getting better and the movie ads would soon be out to all, GGS goes and messes it up AGAIN!!!! Yes, I am not happy at all!!! 
Using Windows 8.1 and Internet Explorer 11 OR Google Chrome-fully updated, and Adobe Flash fully updated, all cashes cleared, the computer fully shut down and booted u again and again, etc!!, the game has gone back to being VERY SLOW to process changing screens, harvesting and planting, white gears take a long time to go away, I've been abruptly logged out several times too, etc.
I HATE THIS!!!!!!
It is affecting my whole computer!! I know it is the game, because when I boot up and do not use the game, everything is great!!! Same with both browsers!! As soon as I use the game, all slows.... Same with both browsers!!!
A few days before the update GGS did something right!!!
The screens were responding lightening fast compared to the past few months using both of my Browsers!! Just a little lag when changing farms, but better than it had been! WOW!!! What a difference it made in my game play!! I got a lot more done!!!
When I first started playing Big Farm (about March 2014) I'd click on the worker's gifts, as the number of them in a row increased, I would play a little game and click on one, then change farms and click on a new one and try to keep the numbers going as high as I could without missing one.
I could do that then and in the 2-3 days prior to the update too!! It has not been possible for months before that-too slow!!!
Even the Ads where I chose 1 of 4 prizes were working much better!! The prizes there were nice too, IMO, even worth the extra effort getting thru the bugs! I was so excited about them coming out to new players and I thought that would be soon! the faster response time in the game was making such a great difference!! I was finally able to get something done!!! We were having fun with the added nice prizes, and the gold and finally able to do a little of the things that the rich gold players do!! Having fun with the Karma points, doing a few upgrades, etc. I even thought about trying to buy a little gold! I felt that the new ads, with choosing one in 4 prizes were going to be GREAT for everyone!! We would have more fun in the game, GGS would make more from the advertisers paying them and it seemed like a win win situation. I thought it would be out to all and VERY soon!!!
The Surprise Boxes are no good, a WASTE of my time, PRIZES ARE NOT WORTH IT, only 5 of them too, etc. as I know others have posted. GET RID OF THEM!!! THEY ARE RUINING ALL THE GAME PLAY!!!
I WANT MY FAST FUN GAME BACK!!! I WANT THE MOVIE ADS FOR ALL WHERE I CAN CHOOSE MY PRIZE FROM 1 IN 4, GOLD OR EVEN A PRIZE WORTH MORE THAN THE GOLD!! 20 OF THESE PER DAY WAS NICE TOO!! I've already lost 3 Co-op players too!! Come on GGS, get it together!!
Oh, and for the third time now, Support has just dumped my requests back to me without answering them!! The dumps don't even have the old info on them-like the automated replies do. So I have to try to find them and put them together!! One, I have e-mailed them about 3 times and still no reply!

I tried to get the 3rd Birthday e-mail voucher prizes within the 10 days and it would not work, pics included. Now I have to try again!! That is IF I can even get into Support!!! Something better needs to be done with Support. Let ALL players know not to send in a report about problems they know about and are working on, by having an alert on the Support Request page and on the News when logging in to the game-have a support Alert Link!

Just to let you know about the total disaster with watching ads.
So far I got them 2-3 times only and only when I was up and playing at 2-3 am.
Today I got them finally at some normal time (4 pm) - watched one, got 3,000 dollars - LOL.
Earlier today I saw other players write in the chat that rewards from surprise boxes were reduced drastically and at the same time it seems that videos are available to more and more players ... but nobody wants to watch them anymore because the rewards are so disappointing now
And at the top of the screen it says: "Watch these adds to win some terrific rewards" ... so, yes, Kamilcom, it also made me smile and not sure whether GGS is so off the ground or meant it as irony this time too
draakje3. they are nothing but trouble now and not worth the $1000 you may get IF they work and IF you get a reward and IF you do not mind your computer lagging and full of weird files.
I tried 7 times today. I think most were Supersonic. the first 2 , after attempting to load for too long, each gave me the "sorry". No rewards.
then one did, then back to Sorry" then game froze. so I cleaned and cleared ONLY to GET 2 more slow loading Supersonic "Sorry"
I apologize to my friend on here, but I have had it with this game.
