Google Chrome No Longer Supporting NPAPI Plugins as of September

According to a message at the top of my screen that appeared right after a plugin crashed a while ago, Google Chrome is no longer going to support the NPAPI plugin used by Big Farm as of September. Any info on this? ?( No one else seems to know anything about this. Is this going to be addressed by Big Farm? Are there any plans to do something that will enable Chrome users to play the game?

I've already installed another browser for this in the event that this is the case, but not all of the graphics load all the time on that browser, especially where it comes to harvesting things---i.e. if I harvest corn, the corn doesn't show when it's flying out of the field, nor does any other item in the corn, i.e. if it's some special event like the Hawaiian event, it doesn't show hibiscus flying out of the field when I harvest it--it's just the grey gear things that appear before the graphics load. Here's a Wiki page on the issue--it also lists the few browsers that still support NPAPI plugins:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NPAPI

If anyone's using Firefox, SOME versions of that support it but not all. I'm surprised that no one has made an announcement or anything about that on here, unless I missed it---although I HAVE looked for a thread on it and haven't seen anything so far. If that info I read is incorrect, i.e. if there isn't going to be a problem with Chrome and this game--great. But I keep reading that there is---so if that is true, does Big Farm plan on doing anything that will allow Chrome users to continue playing? Or do we HAVE to switch to another browser? I really don't want to have to download anything else on here.

Again, I've already installed another browser, but aside from the fact that all of the animals and people move a LOT faster on it, the sad fact remains that not all the graphics are showing up. ;( Half of the fun of this game is all the little extra details that goes into the graphics---the fact that I can't see some of these things is extremely disappointing and takes away a lot from this game. X( NOT HAPPY about this potential situation. :cursing: HELP!

[h=3]Hi, please read on the information below and enable the PPAPI (out of process) plugin of Adobe Flash Player.

NPAPI support has ended[/h]In the past, many plugins were developed using an older system called NPAPI. Today fewer sites are using NPAPI plugins and they can sometimes cause security risks on websites.
To make browsing with Chrome safer, faster, and more stable, we’re ending support for NPAPI plugins with Chrome version 42.
[h=3]Which plugins are supported[/h]Plugins that use a newer, more secure system called Pepper API (PPAPI) will continue to work, including those that come with Chrome, like Adobe Flash and PDF Viewer. If Flash or PDF doesn’t automatically load, make sure that you have the PPAPI plugin version enabled in Chrome.
Plugins that use NPAPI, including Silverlight, Java, and Unity, won’t work
    [h=3]How to enable PPAPI plugins[/h]
    1. Open Chrome.
    2. In the address bar at the top, type chrome://plugins and press Enter.
    3. Click Details.
    4. Scroll down to "Adobe Flash Player."
    5. Under "Type: PPAPI," click Enable.

Weird...I did that, and it shows that PPAPI is already enabled. There's a box at the bottom that says "Always allowed to run":

    Adobe Flash Player - Version: 18.0.0.232Shockwave Flash 18.0 r0

    Shockwave Flash

    Type:
    PPAPI (out-of-process)

    MIME types:

    .spl

Do I need to check that box (in the actual description, there's a box next to the "Always allowed to run" part), or is it automatically going to work/already working on here? I hope that means that I don't have to use the other browser next month. Thanks SO much for the info! :)

If there is an empty box next to that line I would assume it is disabled. So then yes it needs a checkmark to enable it.

You're so welcome!! I wasn't sure if anyone else was aware of this or heard anything about it. I didn't know people were already having trouble because of it--I've been trying for a month to figure it out so that by September, I could still play this awesome game! Is the PPAPI thing working for you now? And has clicking on that "always allowed to run" box caused any problems or weird issues anywhere on your computer?

    P.S. I'm a Wendy too! ;)
