Clearly not how most people feel.  Most people know how the market vendor works.  Check Scissors' post above, or mine.  You pay him what he wants, he gives you some junk in return.  I did it once, never again.  Selling to the neighbours who come to the market is a good source of income if you don't run your barns dry.  Leave the market vendor alone and you won't lose your money.

however it is broken for some and he  does not stop offering you to buy stuff like he should i spent over a million on him yesterday to make sure he was broke so GGS does need to fix him

he is kind of broken right now for some though usually he will only give you a couple chance a day to buy from him but right now you can just keep clicking on him spending all your money on the stuff he gives if you want to so they do need to fix it it was never meant to be able to keep clicking on him to wast all your money
  • however it is broken for some and he  does not stop offering you to buy stuff like he should i spent over a million on him yesterday to make sure he was broke so GGS does need to fix him
I have seen him keep offering sales one after an another & yes that probably shouldn`t happen, but we can`t really blame GGS for people's inability to stop buying ... There must be a point when they think, hang on this is getting expensive, do I really need more pigfeed? lol Afterall there are things for sale all over BF all the time & people don`t just spend all their money & then blame GGS for putting it there for sale.
  • I wonder, what would happen if you had only the $98 and he wanted to sell you some stupid duck feed for like $18,000.  Would the transaction actually go thru and you left with a negative, or will he come back to you saying "you dont have enough to purchase this item", or will he actually offer you the duck feed for $98.

One will never know.  Sometime I believe he offer you items with the amount of money you have on hand , so that if you only had $98 he would offer it to you for that or less.  Can anyone confirm this.?
I have over 300 mil.  He always asks for 95,000.

Just because he offers, doesn't mean you have to buy over and over and over to bankruptcy.  I bought from him once, saw what a bad deal it was - never again.  He has his hand out on my farm at least twice a day.   Mine might be "broken" too, but I wouldn't know because I never use it.RunsWivScissors (GB1) said:

i am not blaming GGS i did not spend all my money but i am a very curious person so i always buy from him so it does irritate me that he will not stop offering cause i know i can not keep buying it but his normal twice a day is great

Sorry to hear how this has happened to folks, but I'm not sure where the confusion has come from.  From the get go he's always "sold" you whatever for the price listed.  I happened to start playing almost exactly at the same time the market was added to the game.  Sometimes you know what you're getting, but most of the time it's a surprise.  I buy from him regularly and yes the majority of the time it's a waste of money, but then there are those times like today where I received 150 gold, horseshoes, tokens, certificates, and karma points. As you level up the cost is greater, mine is currently 95K per purchase.

I have also had the the times where he sells one item after another after another, and I just use a little common sense....how much do I want to spend?  1M - OK 10 clicks.  I keep hoping that some day he'll just drop a GML and it'll make up for the hundreds of over-priced items I've purchased over the past year, yeah I know, I'm a dreamer!  :*

I see the market merchant has struck again. I've created a wanted poster for this crook.

  • Why is there no option to make a guy go away ? Does relogging make him go away. There were other good stuff to sell twice now and it took huge amounts of fertilizer both time.Fertilizer aka poop is teh hardest thing to come buy in BigFram.

Why is there no option to click go away or dont sell ??

The vendor only sells you stuff, he takes money, not fertilizer.  Did you sell your fertilizer in the organic market?  Don't sell anything that you need -- you're under no obligation to sell anything.

Sounds like you may have been selling to the walk up customers. If you just ignore them, they'll eventually go away. You don't have to sell to any of them. ;)
  •  Ya I may as well quit and never spend a dime here again that fertilizer vendor killed my farm.I have 6 apple and 2 cherry orchards to try and have fun with the organic market and make money for my farm.
After 3 times of having large amounts of fertilizer vanish to a poorly thought out event my farm is toast :( It took me countless hours, weeks, months to upgrade my orchards and farm most are level 7 architect builds... I complained about it weeks ago and boom it pops up again today LOL.I eevn stopped feeding most of my orchards for awhile in an attempt to save my farm but the damage was done.

Get a clue devs do you guys who plan that kind of event even play the game ? Poop and fertilizer are impossible to replace and took ages to stockpile.Very careful planning and hours down the drain in a misclick of the mouse trying to click another bubble to follow a quest.

I simple confirm or decline sale is vital when you are talking about fert. There are tons of quest for fertilizer and apples..Now i have 4 thousand poop left and 700 fert .What rubbish I put in a lot of hard work and had a lot of fun watching my farm grow :( I was so happy seeing all the cool stuff that was added while I took a short break and then poof Game Over. What a terribly planned event
  • Its a quest and there are so many bubbles you cant really tell what is what....

Take it as a lesson learned and double check every thing before clicking

I empathize but you have 700 fertilizer so you are far from going down the drain. You will be backup and running strong just take a deep breath and make a strategy maybe only do orchards twice a day for a week or so.  It will be ok.

The vendor who stands beside the market......his price is just too high.  The goods are simply not good enough to justify 95,000 each time.  It needs to be a lot less.  25,000 each time would make much more sense.  Or maybe even 10,000.

This is no big surprise and I ignore him and advised all new people to avoid him as well. I think he is one of their little tricks.
  • Ignore him.  You get used to seeing the dollar bundle and "not" seeing it.  One of my Co-op members calls him a shyster :)
  • @gavinfarms (US1) He has a fixed price based on your level (a least it seems to be level based) like you mine is always 95,000 which even for his "good" items is a lot & when its a bag of chicken feed it is ridiculous, so I also avoid all his mystery offers. But on the test server I saw that he is much more beneficial to low level players, he starts off at 1000 for everything, so feed & fertilizer are quite useful at that price & if you get something good from him for 1000 all the better. By about level 40, the bad rewards were starting to feel a bit too expensive.

I am level 267.  He has 95,000 for me, since he was invented.  That is what I meant - once it scales up to 95,000, it is utterly ridiculous.  If It scaled from 1,000 to 10,000 over time, that would make more sense.

Yep..Ole Flim-Flam Freddy is a rip off artist. I think he's related to Omar. There is a family resemblance in the belly... :D

I think he used to be 150K, but even if its been reduced to 95K there is still nothing on the list that is worth that much & if there was, it would be an item that no one ever gets lol
  • So....is anyone else finding the vendor is selling to customers without your ok? I wake up in the morning and find lots of little dollar  bundles floating on my screen from items that I did not sell. I figure my vendor is operating a black market operation while I sleep. It's actually kind of handy except I worry he's selling items I might rather keep!
  • I would like to know why you don't let us know the times on the large market orders.  I work real hard to get these orders, was almost done, then it disappeared.  If I don't have enough to fill the orders I wouldn't do them.  This has happened several times.  Please give us the time limit so we can chose which orders to fill.
    Thank you

The only contracts that have a time limit are the "Limited" ones
I have had contracts sit around for months as I filled them :)
