Keep hearing about new candy farm. Where is it located at.
This happened yesterday too, thought it was a fluke, but today same thing occurred, so I decided to take some screen shots to prove I'm not imagining things:
So what happens is, while browsing through the threads the heading suddenly changes to this weird double repeat: "Groups Groups Mark all viewed Mark all viewed"
Clicking on ANY of the heading tops, it then takes me into the german forum..
I then change the "de" part in the http address line back to "en", and that works and takes me back, without getting logged out in the process
Has anyone else taken surprise tours through the german forum?
Not now, but a week ago, I was send to the German forum, and I couldn't sign in to the EN forum, I could read, but not comment or anything else.
It sorted it self after a couple of days.
I then had contacted support, but when the came back to me, it was already working again.
I think Forum is still a bit bugged
I haven't had the double repeat at the top but I have had the EN forum suddenly turn into the German forum before. Like Michiru, I changed "de" to "en" in the address bar and got back here.
One day I was on the EN forum but The Chicken Coop area only showed posts from the US forum. I checked the address and it said "en". I closed both forums and reopened, it worked after that. I guess the wires get crossed sometimes.
There was a Hungarian player here and another one on the US forum within the last couple of days. I would say the same thing is probably happening to them too.

3 days ago I experienced suddenly the same again, whatever heading I clicked, it brought me to the German forum. But I logged out and -in again and that solved the "problem" ....
Really glad Im not the only one doing these tours

What things have you received relating to the candy farm?
As of now I don't have anything related to the candy farm.
I don't have anything related to the candy farm either except that we can now buy library books for it.
We don't know for sure when the candy farm will start. Probably soon, but GGS doesn't tell us when the events will start.
Boosters for all the farms are in your library. They are permanent and you can buy them anytime. They are often on sale too, just watch for the pop-ups when you logon, etc.
All Farm boosters, including the Candy Farm ones have to be bought with gold only. There are several levels to each one, just like our farm machines, fields and buildings, etc. on our farms have different levels.
New boosters for the candy farm were just added our library collection with the Oct. 13th update, so that you can buy them anytime you want to, just like all the rest of the boosters.
None of the farm boosters will do anything to help your farm until you buy them with gold only. Once you buy them their level will change in the library. You can click on them to see what they do. They were just added to our library collection.
Sometime in the future, the TEMPORARY Candy farm, like the Island, Northern Lights, and Viking Farms will come around again. When it does you will have a task on the left of your screen to see if you want to enter the farm. But beware!!!!
Entering a temporary farm will forever change your ship to request 2 additional fruits from the Island Farms, grown in your greenhouse. If you can't fill that your ship will sit for 6 hours waiting, so you can only get 2 ships per day instead of 4. Once done, it is forever, no going back, even with the next time the temp farm rolls around.
The Temporary Farms take many millions of dollars-maybe over 120 million or so to TRY to complete without using gold.
You can go in and earn a few free things from clicking on the neighbors gifts, or just plant one crop, or a few crops just to earn a little of the currency for the temp. farm-vouchers, shells, ruenstones, etc.. Then you buy seeds for your greenhouse w that currency, grow them and fill the sup with them to get your horseshoes for the Horse Ranch. You can also buy some decos for your regular farms, and special houses from the trader in the bazaar area when they come.
No one has the candy farm now. Like all the other temp farms GGS does not tell us when they come.
The Candy Farm has only come once before (with a bug that had some production imbalances-GGS did make some changes during the event to try to help, it was fun. It is a different layout than our other farms, but expensive and the payout in vouchers was far less than the shells and ruenstones on the other temp. farms. resulting in far less horseshoes. They take a lot of playing time too.
The official announcement Oct. 13, was very disappointing, because it did not seem to indicate that there was any improvement to balance the payout in vouchers with the just as expensive candy farm with the other temp. farms, so a lot of us are very concerned about it and are looking for some answers from GGS.
I am hoping that it is awhile before the next temp. farm comes, (indications are that it may be the Candy Farm), so I can build up my finances to play it. I'm level 128, but unless the number of vouchers is improved, I'm not sure it is worth spending so many millions to only get a very few vouchers and thus a very few horseshoes. Sad though because I really enjoyed the candy farm.
I'd sure like to have more different decos, with higher happiness without gold available, and make them smaller. Lots and lots of the same ones is not fun, need to add more variety to my decorating. And remember this is a family game and not everyone can afford or buy gold, like the kids they/we should have a chance too. Just make things available to us, even if they have to cost more. I also want the ability to get more workers without gold too. On the last Island farm, I absolutely could not squeeze in another deco without gold, or get any more workers, despite 14 houses fully upgraded, and 10 or so big palm trees, Isle of oasis and hammock, just no more room for anything else!! I did not think that was fair. I bought all the land plots I could too. I was not able to upgrade anything else. I must keep my production costs I the -70's and preferably lower, I ended with -69 or -63% as I recall without looking at my records. If the production costs are higher, the money runs right through the event like it does through the very full funnel in the hard work event and that is NOT good business to run a farm on. I even tried that once and WOW was my money disappearing fast!!! So....next temp. farm, will try to do something different. Any ideas?
Also, if you look in the thread for the Official announcements, you can go back to the info on lots of things when they first came out for info and to the discussions for more, or just ask and we will be glad to help. There's also an overview when the event starts at the airport. Well, back to my farm.

****Forum Problems
The last few days, if I try to add a smiley face to my post, either from the top of the screen or using the : and my cursor is in the place where I want to put it, it is inserted at the beginning of my post, not where my cursor is. I do not know why, never had that problem until recently.
Also when I put a picture in from the attach image/file icon-(sheet of paper with corner folded over- at the top of the post) in the past, the pictures always came up where my cursor was in my post and that is where I want them. Now they are also being inserted at the beginning of my post. Never was a problem until recently either. Please fix these 2 problems or tell me what to do. Thank You
I was using IE this morning when this occurred again. I just tried to go to Google Chrome so I could tell you if it is happening there this morning too, but when I try to go from the US forum to the EN forum (by changing the us to en in the address bar, it just logs me out of the forum on Google Chrome, worked that way in the past on and works on IE now. I have been using IE the past few days, cuz more problems with Google Chrome. I switch back and forth depending on which one works better. I do like Google Chrome though.
I have had the same problems with the smileys and images ever since we switched over to the new forum. I just type in whichever smiley I want to keep it from going to the beginning of the post. You can find a list of smileys here.
Whenever I add an image to my post, I just add the image first then put the cursor next to it and hit enter. I can enter text above the image that way without having to retype everything.
I have a couple of other problems with the forum too. When I highlight a word(s) to make a link, the link goes to the beginning of the post instead of linking the word. I have figured out that I don't need to enter the link the first time. I have to click the button for the link then hit cancel and try again. It always works the second time but never the first.
Also, sometimes I need to use Google Translate in my posts. When I highlight the text and right click, half of my text disappears even after it said Draft Saved. I figured out I can click Save Draft, leave the page, then click on My Drafts to go back and be able to highlight and right click to copy or paste.
All of these little fixes are kinda annoying but hopefully these things can be fixed pretty soon. I use IE, if that matters.
Different servers, different problems?
I also noticed tonight that when I'm on the home page it usually shows me everyone's little pic on the right that is online in the forum now. But right now, it only shows me. In some other areas of the forum, it seems to be OK and others are there too. Using IE now, Windows 8.1, clearing cashes, rebooting, etc. no help.
If I try to use Google Chrome to get onto the forum, I sign in ok - to us forum, but as soon as I click on anything, like a category or a post, it logs me off and I have to sign in again, but same thing happens, cannot change the US to EN to go to the EN forum either, just logs me off. Works OK using Internet Explorer.
Its not 100% reliable, if someone arrives or leaves it takes a while for the list to update.

Recently, the @ mention function is finally working as it should! If you want to mark another user and make it easy to visit his or her profile, you can just type an @, directly followed by the name you want to tag, select him from the menu that will pop up when you start typing, and voilá, you successfully established an instant link. Not only that, the user in question will also get a new notification, so he or she instantly knows about your mention.
So, if I mention @CM Nafaru like this, she'll be informed

I'm on the US1 Server. I am using Windows 8.1, Internet Explorer 11, just rebooted, cleared cashes, etc. I do not think that this is working properly, at least for me.
If I understand it right, using the @ mention function will notify the person who's name is put in after the @ that they were mentioned in a post, so they can take a look at it. Where do they get notified about this?
I do not understand how this marks a user to make it easier to visit their profile. How does that happen? - established an instant link?
Ok, so tried I this.
I'm typing along and I type @CMand the list of CM's comes up, but if I try to click on one of them, or on any of them, nothing happens. Also, in the list when I type @CM CM Nafaru is not listed. I wondered if it might be because of the reference above, so tried on another post and CM Nafaru was not on the list there either. But if I type in @CM N then the name CM Nafaru comes up by itself, and if I click on it nothing happens then either.
So, perhaps I'm not getting it because there is still some bugs in it.
Nafaru, can you give me some examples of when I might use this, etc. please?

P.S. Having all kinds of problems typing, letters are very slow to show up. No other programs running, except my farm and as I said above, just cleared all cashes and rebooted, logged in, etc.
Looks like the list is only long enough for 5 suggestions & there are 5 alphabetically before CM Nafaru, so it doesn`t come up until you do the N to filter out the other options... Maybe

When I started typing in your name it came up, but clicking on it did nothing, so I had to type it all in.
May be only room for 5. I did notice it did not have anywhere to scroll down for more names. That's OK, easier than scrolling.
Thanks Steffi, but that does not work either. I am using Windows 8.1, IE 11-(cashes were cleared, rebooted, etc. and no difference). I typed the @CM and the list of possible CM's came up, used my down arrow to highlight the one I wanted, pressed enter and then the @CM that I had typed disappeared and nothing was there in it's place. I also tried clicking on the highlighted CM in the list and nothing happens when I do that-the list just goes away. ( I am not able to get onto the forum with Google Chrome tonight to see if the problem is there too -- just keeps trying to load the forum and will not work. I was able to use the game from Google Chrome at that time.)
In my post above (about 4 back) I asked about when the @mention function would be used? Is it just for when we want the person to know that we were referring to them in a post?
I do not understand how the @ mention function makes it easier to visit the player mention's profile? Please explain how that is done? And about the instant link to them that you referred to.
Is the @ mention function useful for the badges? I don't really understand all about them yet.
When using IE for the forum the past few days, when I type, the letters are delayed showing up on the screens. (still a problem after all cashes cleared, rebooted, etc. Only happens on the Big Farm forum, no where else that I type on my computer, internet signal is strong and consistent, programs up to date, etc. Did not happen using Google Chrome.
Also using Windows 8.1 and IE11, I cannot use the smilies. If I pick one from the tool bar at the top of the post, it only inserts at the beginning of my post, not where my cursor is. If I type : or : and a letter, such as :a the list of them comes up, but I have the same problem as trying to pick from the @CM list. It does not work at all, so I cannot use any smilies. Boo Hoo!
If I attach a picture, using the icon at the tool bar on top of the post, and then browse for it, in the past it would be placed where my cursor was in my post. Now it will only place the picture at the beginning of my post!
Definitely some bugs in the forum using Windows 8.1 and Windows 11. Please refer these to be fixed ASAP.

My notifications have suddenly disappeared, or at least drastically reduced. I checked in my preferences, they are still all clicked, but even though there are new posts in many threads I commented in I dont get the tiny red numbers anymore at the top right, except for messages only.. anyone else?
Also was wondering if im the only one who often clicks on a thread, but instead of going to the threadposts gets taken to the profile page of the person who posted last... then the headings are in the same language as that person's server, and only closing the page entirely and re-opening forum via the ingame button takes me back to the english forum..(hence latest stroll through the russian forum lol)
And if clicking on the heading of the thread it's a gamble of which page you'll end up, needing to scroll is guaranteed..
Can this be somehow changed for the future? Like wherever you click on a thread header you will go to that thread, either first or last post according to your own preference? Like it was working in the old forum..?
