If I had one suggestion though, the last bracket (lvl65-999) isn't all that fair. As expected, the people who are already top (gold or level) players in literally everything else (missions, levels, other events) are winning the event.
The top 5 spots are easily taken by the top gold spenders, who leaped up to literally a million points before the first day was over. There was never any chance to win to begin with despite lots of hard work and sitting here farming like a maniac, which is a bit of a shame. Maybe there could be more spots so there'd actually be room for hard workers and hard workers with lots of gold alike! ^-^
Other than that it was fun and it's kinda cool to be "done" as soon as all the hard work rewards have been earned, even if the decorations aren't really useful to put on my farms I like them and the other rewards are a neat addition, kinda in the tier of the horse race rewards. Thanks for the fun update, appreciated!
I like the way what you win flashes on the screen, and its relatively frequent. The frequent winnings create interest and add to ones farming ability, regardless of level, that is a great outcome.
I would leave the order of what is won as it is so pretty much all players get the deco.
Consider reducing the points required to get to the 4*4 deco so even the very casual players win something nice. In tandem with this, do some coding for levels greater than the 4*4 deco. Perhaps something like a level per 100,000 points after the 4*4 deco. That would create continued interest for the life of the event, instead of the current tune-out after the 4*4 deco is won.
I am a bit surprised that nobody has commented on the relationship this event has upon the use of the factory farm strategy combined with the use of the market to buy produce. My packaging has had the incidence of dandelions 4 times. If I had of had a factory farm and no fields on my Gourmet farm, it would have cost me 4 gold spends ( at some close to doubling sequence rate of spend) to skip past dandelions. And who is to say the algorithm doesn't bias it to more incidences of dandelions if the check shows no Gourmet farm fields? Sadly its becoming quite clear what behaviours the "incentives" are really being offered for. Its just one more step in the process to make the probable loss of the produce buying market more palatable.
- and all these rewards I have get on my main farm!
Now it begin to ask for barley? - ehhhh, my gourmet farms are setup for ducks and goats, I only have 1 donkey stable. And no, I'll not call my gourmet farms factory farms, because I also have fields enough deliver all the feed my animals need, but since my gourmet farms are nice balanced, my feed production only have a little overflow, so normaly I only plant barley 1 or 2 times per week. Because of my setup I could not plant barley in this event, unless I broke my farms balance.
- Fortunately, I could get all 20 rewards on my main farms, so I dont see any reason to continue plant what the machine ask for.
Just now the machine on my skn farm ask for Jasmine..
Huh? - both my flowerfarms are setup for honeycream production, so it's very rare I plant anything else than aloe vera and vanilla (they have the same growing time and I sell most of the vanilla)
Again, since I already have get all 20 rewards, I don't see any reason to broke my rutine for my flowerfarms.
The same with the new achievements... only the honey is a thing I produce a lot.. rest of them will takes me years to do... Fortunately it's very long time ago I lost the interest for that achievement book, so I don't care about these new achievements, they comes by themselves over time (very long time I think for 3 of them).
The NpnG rewards? - well, the seaweed stuff is nice and also the tokens. Ohhh the deco's... well, I'm sure Gretha will love to demolish them to deco part
All the prices in theory are winnable for everyone without the use of gold and within reasonable amount of time... !!! THis is a very important basic rule for me. It also keeps ppl happy. And the event makes gold becuz ppl do an extra effort for that top 5 prize!
It is also doable for the lower levels! Finally something to make them happy as well! Cuz i think alot of them just left becuz they were excluded from everything just becuz of their level (an therefore lack of production/dollars). Allthough I believe an extra category 60-80 and 80-... instead of 60-... should be added to make it even more fair!
Some ppl complain they were finished to far... I just finished today allthough I was online for a full day after the start of the event, the night after and the next day... if you hit an unluck sequence like I did second one apples (and could only harvest one orchard instead of 3 cuz the other 2 i just did but was suprised about the speed of the corn meter)(and finsiehed around 3oclock in the night) it takes way more time.... and again you play maybe a lot. Keep the game accesible for more busy ppl and motivate them as well... At least you could have a life with this event! thank you!
So my conclusion: THANK YOU FOR thIS VERY NICE EVENT!!!!
PS: Pls now you the same principle for the temp farms and your other goldgreed driven updates of lately... . They destroyed a lot!
PS2: If you find this a bad event then think again pls... think about the bigger picture and enjoability of everyone
The event is divided into level groups. There are 5 level groups, you can check the exact levels in the official announcement, and each level group can win their own ranking reward. I do like this so the low levels have a shot at winning a nice deco as well, but on the other hand it is pretty frustrating for deco collectors like me, since I would only have a shot at winning the 65-999 level group deco (if the goldies wouldn't have secured it the minute the event started, but that's okay, thanks for funding this game for me
I don`t like being #65 in the 65-999 section, #3 is much better, please move me!!
Kinda shameful that I would only be #3 though LOL
But it's a nice extra event wich makes you do something new
Wich level are you now then ?

Larino's site has the answers to any and every question about Big Farm! Very easy to navigate too.
Best Big Farm site by far!
**Happy Birthday Larino!* Thanks for everything my friend!
We never get told when events are going to happen, but if you mean the 10XP shown on the info, that is the XP you get when you build the deco on your farm, so you do happen to move up into the next ranking group, you would get it for the Harvest Festival Boxes instead (if you win one).
Hehe, thanks, you are 2 days early, but that's okay ^^
I think he wants to hold back on his XP so he is still in that lower group. He wants both decos, which is understandable of course
Ahhh, that makes sense... See Caroline is right, you DO have all the answers hehe
Thanks

The Candy Farm & Viking Farm are both temporary, they are events that last for 30 days & then another temporary farm will start, usually about a week after the last one ended. The point of them is to collect as many vouchers/runestones/shells (depending on which farm it is) during the 30 days & to use them with the trader to get seeds to supply your ship with fruits/berries, in exchange for horseshoes to use on your ranch. Each farm also has various rewards & decorations that you can earn. There are now 4 different temporary farms & maybe more new ones to come, so you should see the Viking Farm or Candy farm back soon.
And, well, no, I do not have all the answers. You may find a rare occasion where I am forced to say sorry, I have no clue XD
Gwendolen, I so want all the decos too! Wish I could completely fill the deco tower, but some I will never get
I think the hard worker event is a good, individual-version of the Coop Challenge. I am not sure what good the ranking is, because whoever logs on first and keeps it at 10 wins. Perhaps, it could be over a longer time, because sleep and natural factors might level the playing field. Also, why not have runner-up ranking rewards like the Wheel does. The top 500 get double xp for 2 days on the Wheel. Why not do that as well for the hardworker? Otherwise, there is little reason to do well. Also, on the islands, only the people willing to spend huge amounts can get the top 5 ranking reward, so why not give the top 100 or 200 a week of double xp for ranking that high on a month long event. It takes a truly huge amount of work to rank that high. Why not reward that? I think greater use of "runner-up rewards" for more events would make them more competitive. I know it would influence me in a positive way.
Cracking idea Gavin. It would certainly influence me positively too.
YES!!! There does need to be more runner-up rewards, top 5 is nothing. 99.9% of players don't really believe they can ever reach that point. There would definitely be more incentive to try more if other rewards were given. Probably be more gold spent actually... People would push the harvest just the little bit more if they were close. I'd say it irs a good idea for GGS! Not that I would have the chance right now, too busy with my actual not as fun as farming job... Still managed to get all of the 20 hard worker rewards and was around 1100 in the rankings at the end. Not too bad really!
