Suggestion: Idea/s for new decor farm
To have decor or not to have decor. Some farms are ALL production which as it turns out can be just as productive even without any decor. To answer this the game developers made it impossible to have a 100% happiness rating. I don't know what that has to do with anything but what ever.
My problem, I LIKE the decor items but I virtually give up my chances of making it through the toughest events or missions with limited production. And... I'm out of room so now events don't have the strong desire to finish as they once did.
So.... How about this.
What about a whole separate farm space, just like the gourmet and flower farms. Place the coop watering tree in this one so everyone has to visit. But it's ALL decor. Perhaps one main store and of course worker houses to staff it. THen.... it can earn money in one of two ways.
1. Good decor mix or not. Having all of an event item, say small waterfall through giant one. This would earn more in "tourist dollars" than missing one. A good variety of decor would earn more than filling it up with one thing. And decor you have to win would be worth a lot more than stuff you buy. Your main farm happiness would be directly tied into this instead of needing to sprinkle decor among production things. This would free up that entire space for only production. (decor as desired by the player wouldn't hurt but the over all happiness would be based more on this other farm.)
2. And frankly we can already do this, but use that other decor farm as sort of a gardening sales area where the "tourists" could buy decor. At a profit of course. But if someone has say six castles, one could choose to put a few up for sale. Maybe even set the profit margin with low profit more likely to sell, but a whopping huge profit could sell but be much less likely. Kinda like winning the gold certificate from the wheel guy. Odds are slim. But could happen.
Thoughts?
OH... I get why they put in the tower with decor. For others to know, it's so the developers can easily see what you have at some point collected. Some game events may need this. So ok. Glad they moved it to it's own space.

Greta takes care of unwanted deco on my farm.
But I really like changing layouts, moving the pixels around. I would love a "sandbox" farm, where I could arrange and re-arrange to my heart's content. It wouldn't have to actually DO anything to content me, though the OP has some interesting ideas.
Freeing space for production is good but I wouldn't like to see happiness tied to having to do events.
The tree would still be in plain view. A decor farm wouldn't have to be as big as the main. The airport they have now is really useless. I never once used it to access the special farms. Free up some space to do something useful. This decor farm could be right next to the main.
As for buying a castle, I NEVER Meant to say players would shop and buy castles. My thought is that game generated people, just like the worker people, could wander through. And periodically you might have sold something. Click the "store" and collect your loot. Be a way of cashing in on all too many decorations instead of letting them sit in inventory. And yes, you can sell them yourself but it wouldn't be as much fun.
