I wanted to wait a few days to reply. It was not outrage. I think you misinterpreted something.
I understand things change, but there are changes and then there are changes. When you move the Wheel of Fortune back or forward a few days, or you switch Camping and Asia - these are minor, acceptable changes, as these are not gold-required events. This is a game that some cannot play endlessly, and when large month-long rotations change.......that is quite significant. And the temp farms do require gold to complete. People spend real money out of their pockets to work toward events and prepare for them. I believe that when you create an expectation and then you use that very expectation to drive sales, then you create an obligation for yourself that you must not excessively deviate from.
Furthermore, I am disappointed by the "downward" trend as of late. Let me explain. In 2015, you started off with great accomplishments such as creating the landscape architect, the market, the Hard-Worker event. These were are significantly good things that you accomplished. The latter part of 2015 led to many disappointments including this weird "Festive Farm" in which you reversed what you previously had stated about library books, which greatly damaged your credibility. When you say, on August 4, 2015, "Yes, those books tell you everything about setting up a farm in wintery areas of the world." - and then you undercut this statement by doing the opposite, then you lose credibility. And you lost money here. There were books that I intended to buy, that I did not have to buy, because you announced that they would not work. I still cannot see what the possible upside was to this move. It appears that you lost credibility and gained nothing in return.
Then you did this WishList event and did big damage to your reputation for fairness. For three weeks, you let people (in my coop and others) spend real money - very real money - on gold to use to finish the lists of other people, and then after the third week, you changed the rules, and took away the decoration that coops had spent real money to earn. GGS's answer was to tell everyone that "they" had misunderstood. It is never, ever smart to tell people that it is their fault because "they" misunderstood. It never works.
Then there is this joke of an update, in which a meadow needs 6 workers to get a new level. Six workers for a meadow level - this is beyond nonsensical.
Now, throughout this forum, you can find many numerous examples of me praising GGS for doing good things, and I will continue to do that whenever possible. But, it would be wrong of me if I were not equally honest when you screw up. And the trend in the latter portion of 2015 and early 2016 was not good.
I mention this, because this change-up of a month long farm came "on the heels" of these other disasters, which had tarnished your image somewhat. When you say one thing and then do another on the library books, and then you say one thing and do another on the wishlist, you cannot blame me for noticing the trend. Also, you cannot be angry when that trend causes someone to be more cautious and suspicious going forward.
Look, if you had simply posted in the forum that the Candy Farm would be next, I could not have complained. And what possible harm could it have been to announce this? But when you allow an expectation to develop and then you raise money off of that expectation --- and this is precisely what you did --- then you create an obligation on your part. It is that simple. No more, no less. You all focus way too much on this notion of mystery and intrigue, to the point that you sometimes trip over it and don't come out looking all that good.
??? So confused.
The difference between lv.7 and 8 is shown on the forum by being 25000 PP(from 40000 to reach 65000 PP by candies donation).
Somebody checked exactly?
I already donated from moving up from level 7 :1986+7352+8700+7152PP= 25190 PP.
I am still at level 7, this means that to reach the next level means more than 65000 PP.
lvl 7 needs 40 000 and lvl 8 needs 65 000 candies (not 25 000, the difference between 8 and 7)
For level 8 I need to add another candies equivalent of another 25000 PP.
Total means 65000 PP at my maths.
However from my final calculation the correct point to upgrade level 8 is at 66000PP or candies donated.
40000PP + extra more than 25000 PP
I have my notebook where I wrote exactly what I donated.
I will keep you, all of us, informed what I will reach (if I am reaching...).
However I didn't mention or I didn't count it what happened with the donation that exceeded the point of reaching the next level (my level 8 was reaching at 66 222PP and I didn't count if that 222PP were transformed in vouchers, etc. After I wrote last night (at 25190PP at level 7) I did another donation by 1032 PP and then I finish to upgrade level 8. Somewhere between 65200 and 66000PP happened the change)
I have been donating for days and had a thin line to fill and put in over 700. points and it still hasnt completed.
Help please urgently as I want to move up to the next level
Michele
Can I transfer the candy $'s to real dollars on my main farm? The candy farm seems to use my farm $'s.
I've finished two small levels on the Candy farm and I'm working on my third level (I assume 4000 - 6000, since it's four brown blocks until the yellow 10,000 block). Donating the candy doesn't seemingly do anything to the progress bar anymore. And since there's no pop-up or something showing how much I've donated in numbers, there's no way for me to check if this is just a graphical glitch or if something is wrong. So, I've got a few questions:
Thanks for the help!
Hi Sheriziya,
Each level needs significantly more candy, so they do take longer to fill as you progress & the bar is not very helpful at showing exact amounts, but it will be registering your donations & it tells you how many points you will get for your donation (above the button) so you can keep a record yourself if you want to make sure. There is also a list on the 1st page of this thread, showing the amounts needed for each level.
Does anyone know when the Candy Farm ends this time around? I know we sometimes get a clock -- but I can't find one this time. I like to start dismantling everything I can to squeeze the last few vouchers out before the farm goes away.
Thanks in advance.
Two. As a fellow player that has spent time and transfer of game money into sugar dollars should be notified on a official capacity to let us know if the little farm is not going to return with all the items, animals etc and the tickets saved.
Three. If my Cooperative Leader jumped the gun, then I apologize.
Please let everyone know what farms are not gonna be around after a period of time. I was upset with the Nordic Farm disappearing and now this. I do not want to invest time into items that will only make me start from scratch the next time it comes around. I do not see any information on the limited time, or anything. Perhaps some information in the forum would be good idea.
Tip do not start one of these temp farms until you have your Flower farm up, running and able to make Honey cream on a regular bases. These temp farms are very expensive to do. Like 10s of millions of farm dollars.
Since you already have your Candy Farm up and running, here's what I do. A day or two before it ends, I start demolishing anything I can, starting with whatever will yield the most vouchers. (In this case, some of the decorations will go first.) I then sell off any produce, candy, etc., during the last few hours. The voucher trader hangs around a day or two longer, and I use what remaining vouchers I have to buy seeds. Then I can grow them in my greenhouse at my leisure.
The good news is that any produce from the greenhouse that is of too small of a quantity for the boat, will carry over until the next time, even if your farm and its remaining contents don't.
