You have to invite friends not already playing Big Farm. So no co op members can't be invited. You could ask someone here from a different server though if one would be interested.
Be aware that once the friend gets to gourmet or level 40 if I recall, the are removed as friend and both stop getting pennies/rewards.
Go to gourmet farm to welcome center to get your link to send to a friends email.
