Suggestion: Move the skip with gold button on event tasks window

In this Hawaiian event, there is a task (number 2) that asks to donate milk.

The button for donating milk is too close to the "skip for xx gold" button.

This morning I was trying to donate my morning's harvest of milk towards this task and of course the mouse icon wasn't perfectly on the donate milk button. I lost 5,000+ gold because it accidentally was on the skip for gold button.

We've asked this before, and again and again. It needs to be fixed. Can you please find a way to move these buttons further apart AND have a confirmation screen on this window that asks "Are you sure you want to skip with gold?"

This isn't your simple skip production/harvest time kind of issue. This is a hefty chunk of my gold spent because GGS has very decisively put these two buttons SO close together that there was a high chance of gold being used by accident. People HAVE to move the icon so close to both of these buttons so that they can get this task done, and I know this has happened to many people for other event tasks.

Sorry to be incredibly frustrated but when people save up gold and have it spent so quickly and by accident like this, it is not a happy moment. I know I won't get a refund because I've asked before and get the same "sorry no dice" comment in return.

Your flogging a dead horse with this Jules. It will never get fixed because as far as GGS are concerned there is nothing wrong with it. Its the same with almost everything to do with using Gold, you only have to flutter you eye lashes at the button and your Gold is gone. Yet you want to transfer crops while harvesting, sell, transfer and transfer again that just to transfer crops, Yet to use Gold one click and that is it.

It's so funny. I've had a mis-click once or twice, spending gold on things I didn't intend to. You know who I blamed? Me!
I think the the options to buy gold are very clearly labeled, IF one pays attention.
    Anything blue means spending gold.
A twitchy hand moving the mouse, a runaway eyelash, being very tired in the morning/evening, random clicky-frenzies? I really don't see how that is GGS's fault...

I guess I'm lucky, because when I click wrong, it says "Not enough gold!". :)

Yes, it is my fault if in a hurry I click wrong. However - I honestly feel GG$ would have more luck keeping its customer base happier if it didn't set us up to make mistakes so often. I do blame myself but it also leaves a bad taste in my mouth and makes me hesitant about spending more gold. The happier I am the more I spend, ya know?

Ones happiness has nothing at all to do with spending more/less gold!

IMO GGS doesn't set us up to make mistakes; everybody should own his/her own mistakes and not blame it on somebody else. Of course GGS wants to earn money, and of course they build in some triggers to tempt us to buy gold sooner. IMO that's normal for a company and IMO they deserve it when making such an amazing Big Farm game.

Just learn from your misclicking as we did. We banged our heads against the wall, blamed ourselves as befits and continued our game, handling the mouse much more prudent than before. I only lost some gold once, only once and never again. How and when I click my mouse is my responsability, not GGS! And I do look at all those build-in triggers as being challenges in the game.

Patience and prudence are virtues, easy to learn and it becomes everybody. ^^

Might have been! Paranoia can make some people see things that aren't there! :p

Exáctly!! Last Island event I accidentally bought land for over 3000 gold. I was sooo mad at myself! It was just sleepy, stupid clicking. I immediately changed the layout of that farm so that particular thing couldn't happen anymore. But I was mad at myself, not at GGS.

Hmm. Ok I am trying to just address the two buttons that are extremely close together on the task window. Not buying land. That one is a pretty obvious gold purchase as one would elect to click on the plot of land, then you'd have to click on the button to buy the land. In this event task window, there is less than a mm of distance between the button you have to click on to donate the item and the button to skip with gold.

That is it. Not when you harvest, or upgrade a building or something that isn't directly dependent on a specific small button next to a gold spending button.

Lastly, no one purposely makes these mistakes, but if you can't see that some people have wrist issues or medical issues like tremors because of an illness, then please don't poke fun. I don't need anyone to make fun of the fact that I might not be able to always perfectly control my mouse movements, or be told not to play the game anymore, etc.

I wasn't poking fun, Jules! And I'm really sorry if it came across that way. I have spasms sometimes and they are hell! My point was that GGS can't cater to all our individual needs.

I don't think your suggestion is bad in any way, I just don't think it's needed for most players and I would prefer that GGS's programmers devote their time to fixing all the bugs we have now.

I actually agree with Jules on this one, its not a matter of being careful like with some of the other gold accidents, this one is purely because 2 buttons are unnecessarily close to each other....Even if the donate one was below the gold one it would be better, but there is plenty of spare room to move them apart.

I'm not doing the event this time, but I also have noticed in the past that those buttons are very close together.

I still don't exactly know what I was doing on the island, it really was by accident! My fields were next to the fence, next to the open plots of land. I misclicked the replant button, hit the plot of land and my mouse apparently was exáctly above the 'buy with gold' button. And somehow I clicked again.
