Not everyone has won one orchard yet either, so how about not new prizes every 5 events!!? The rest of the 100's to 1,000's of co-ops (depending on server) want a chance to win one... 8|

If you are bored of the cherry orchards, then maybe you can take it easy next time the challenge comes and let someone else get an orchard instead? I know there are several co-ops trying very hard to get a first one too!

Thats a tricky one. I agree with Jojobell, that it is fairer to give others a chance to win a cherry orchard, so I don`t think it should be changed. However, our coop have also won 2 & personally I don`t need another one, but we haven`t yet won a Trophy, so obviously we would like to still try hard for that in the next challenge & I don`t think its possible to win a Trophy & not be in the top 10. :S

EDIT: Maybe the top 10 should be decided based on total RP divided by number of members in the coop, that way every coop no matter how small has a chance of winning.

how bout giving an option of prizes for those who don't need the same prizes over and over?
  • edited 06.03.2015
there is another option to ban the use of gold , ok wait the co-op challenge is a way for making us buy gold ok forget that idea ;), but i do think this needs looking into personally i loved the challenge and im already preparing for the next one, one way to sort this out is to make it so more than the top 5 receive the top prizes as the top 5 will more or less always be the ones who throw loads of gold at the challenge, how about prizes for the co-op who perform best without the use of gold, 2 leagues gold users and non gold users,

My suggestion is to swap cherry orchard if you win and apples for 1-10. You need more apples than cherries. I myself have 2 cherries and 1 apple but not to interested in doing missions ever again as too hard to try and get another apple.

These mission challenges were brought in so players would do missions again as this format is a waste of time. But if players are not interested as our co op is becoming, all that will happen is lots of solo missions again. On AU server ALL we get when co op event is not on, is solo missions and with dropping interest in event that is all that will happen during event as well, all solo.

Need interest from most players to stop high numbers of solo mission or change criteria for mission selection.

Only time I do mission is when event is on and this is the case with just about all our members.

Just change Cherry and Apple orchard this will keep ALL interested longer.

Also our co op is always looking for new members so if other in smaller co ops would like to join. Please ask. Great incentive our co op has now had 1st and 2nd on challenge. So you would be able to share in this reward, we have had trophy both times.

    HI

Could we maybe have a change in the top ten prizes? There are only so many cherry orchards we can use on our farms, it would be more motivating if you swapped in a new chicken coop or similar instead.

    Thank you,

Only if they make those cherry orchards prizes for ranking 11-25 or something. Those that are constantly winning the co-op challenge and getting those cherry orchards could always take a break and let other co-ops with zero fancy orchards have a chance at it too...if they just don't need anymore that is.

There are a great many co-ops still working hard to gain those fancy orchards, it would be nice if they stayed so others could gain one too! And I think GGS will keep it that way, thankfully. So few winners get the prize, makes it hard for those that have the ability to win the challenge so often, I'm sure it gets repetitive for you. The rest of the hundreds of co-ops out there though, we really would like a chance at getting one too.^^

I am not saying that you need to replace the Cooperative Cherry Orchard rewarded to the top 10 Co-ops, just give us a choice of what reward we would like. After all we only have room for so many Cooperative Cherry Orchards on our farm, but on the other hand I wouldn't dream of taking the chance to win one away from other co-ops.

On that note here is my suggestion...
At the end of the Challenge why couldn't the reward window have the following choices listed or whatever you see fit as rewards?
    1st choice = 1 Cooperative Cherry Orchard
    2nd choice = ?? Certificates
    3rd choice = ?? Tools
    4th choice = ?? Tokens
    5th choice = ?? Karma

This is a good idea. I've only just acquired my first co-op cherry orchard, and there's no guarantee of another, but for those who have finished in the top ten more than once, what do you do with them all? Having a choice would be a great idea, especially in a co-op with a lot of players at different levels.

Over time the same problem will arise with all themed buildings, it would be better if we won some sort of credits/tokens/medals for events & each themed building cost a certain number of them. That way we could save up to buy the ones we actually want & the credits won for a particular event could match the cost of the building currently offered for that event, so if you did want that building you could still buy it right away.

    Great ideas!

I very much like the thought of different prize options. It is a shame to not use the Co-op Challenge awards because of so much award duplicity.

A credit system makes sense for themed animal barns as well. It would be very nice to have the opportunity to be awarded a themed barn from the temporary farms without having to make a one-time massive effort with much gold to do so. Saving credits and being able to cash in for a Viking duck pond would give us all much pride. :D

I really like the Co-op Champs and the way it is set up, but no one needs 6 cherry orchards on their farm (well maybe some people do :P, but I think a lot of us don't) and with the Co-op Champs coming in quick succession now some co-ops will overflow with cooperative cherry orchards. It would be nice if those had a use besides filling our Themed Buildings inventory.

    A few suggestions from me:

    1. Trading a certain amount of them in for a cooperative apple orchard.
I think getting second place 5 times would be deserving of some apple orchard action.

    2. Trading them in for a (special?) decoration.
This doesn't even have to be a good or exclusive one, just something we can use. Maybe a telescope...? Or that cherry blossom tree from the easter event seems fitting.

    3. Converting them into decoration parts.
Again, doesn't even have to be much.

The main reason I think this is something to consider is there is no more reason to try and get into that top 10 anymore if you already have 2 of the orchards sitting there, like I have. Since the same co-ops seem to battle it out every time I guess we are all starting to accumulate more than we need.
That would make us less competitive to try and outdo one another and thus we will play less missions, be less excited about the Championships and from a GGS business standpoint probably the most important one, spend less gold to win those missions.

I agree that winning cherry orchards becomes useless after a few. Perhaps the prize could be change; a co-op cowshed would be nice.

Make it possible to sell these special cherry and able orchards to other players for game dollars. (or maybe a little gold?) :)
    - I know, that will never happen, but I think many players like the idea?

Maybe your coop could pass on the event then... so others coops can get the price? On the NL server it's the save one coop that siezes all the prices. Impossible for others to reach it.

Tough to sympathize with complaining about riches.... :)

We still want that trophydeco and everything before that, the orchard is an added bonus we get for achieving that. And we where trying to skip this championship, but even on half force we are trading places for 10th place at the moment.

Although it would be nice to be rewarded for your hard work, if the only option for those extra orchards was to give them away I would do so in a heartbeat. No need for them to collect dust when someone else would be very happy with them.

We did, and we're still wavering around 10th/11th.

Personally, I'm doing 2-3 more missions/day this championship that what I do on a non-championship day. I work for the 50 rewards not the cherry orchard that I have no room for. I still need certificates, deco to break down and everybody wants tokens, collectibles and the trophy deco.

I agree with Juk that it would be nice to do something with the cherry orchards we don't need. Just like the co-op that always places first must be over-run with apple orchards.

Something went wrong with posting - sorry. Some log-in issues with 2 different laptops :) This was actually Juk's opinion accidentally posted from my account.

I hold myself in the middle about the skipping. Technically yes, you guys are right, everybody should have the chance to make it. But co-ops just work for all those rewards and if that provides them a spot in top 10, what should they do? Should they simply give up on all those rewards as well?

How about people who finish in ranks 2-9 are taken out of the rankings for the next challenge, sort of a cool down. You could still play for the trophy/interim prizes but wouldn't qualify for the cherry orchards until the following challenge. It gives others a chance at the prize.

Of course, with the frequency of the challenges this may just result in twice as many of us complaining about too many orchards ;)

That's actually a very valid point. If the current top 10 would pass from now on, somewhere along the road everyone would be filled up with orchards as well.
