Am I spending enough time playing each day?

I joined BigFarm about four months ago and am wondering if my play time is sufficient to grow my farm.

I play every day. I reset the farm each morning, usually at noon, and before bed. Each evening, I complete three 30-minute missions. So, my total play time per day is about 2 - 2.5 hours.

I spend more time when there is an event, though I have only completed two events. (UFO and Fairy Tale)

I play for fun and relaxation, but things are moving more slowly now, and I wonder if this is a natural progression of the game at Level 46, or if I am not putting forth the proper amount of effort.

I understand joining a co-op or regular purchases of gold would further me along, but neither of these are options for me at this time.

Yes I think so, there is no right or wrong way or speed for your farm to grow. They have added so much to the game that I would guess it would be harder now. Being in a coop would increase your income so you can improve farm faster. Gold will speed things along in some ways but not everything. Example you could buy land with gold and then use your farm money for upgrades and additions. You could also speed the building process, but while this lets you use the bldg sooner you can only build as fast as you make farm dollars. Everyone has they own way of playing I am not a big gold users so I know many in my coops who used gold passed me up but I was ok with that. If it was me I would find a coop that is a good fit for me, you are online enough each day that you need an active coop to actually see good benefits from the research that is done income wise.

It's totaly up to yourself how much time you want to play each day. :)

And yes, it's a natural thing your level and farm grow more slowly now.

First: because the higher level you have, the more rep points are needed to raise to the next level.
As and example (fiktive number because I don't know the correct numbers): from level 1 to 2 require 1.000 points, 2 to 3 require 4.000 point, 3 to 4 require 10.000 points and so on...

Second: upgrade buildings being more and more expensive the higher level they have.

Third: Land price also be more and more expensive the more land you own.

I think it's should be possible to you to get into a coop, if you want that. Take a look in this forum where lots of coop search for new members. (notice that you are playing on the us 1 server, and therefore you only can join coops on the us 1 server): http://en.board.goodgamestudios.com/bigfarm/forumdisplay.php?587-Cooperatives-looking-for-members

Yes, spending gold on the game will give you some advantages... but it's not required for doing a succesfull farm. Some players have a succesfull farm without buying gold, and as far I know only very few coop require their members are gold-players.

Good luck and happy farming. :)
