One unlogical thing:

How can Benny live in a red and on a green farm (statement 10 in 15)? One of this statements must be a typo.

There is a problem with the riddle. Benny can't have 2 farms ....or maybe one of the others has lost theirs by betting on the horse competitions.:S

Noticed the same thing, we are also a flower short for the puzzle (poppy, carnations, roses, and violets are mentioned twice) ?!?!?

    Just a small question...
How can Benny live in 2 farm ? ;)
    1. Benny lives in the red farm
    2. Benny lives on the green farm

Or is it something that i just don't understand be cause of language?

Edit: Latten was faster than me
    Thank you

I changed the Benny one, it was actually wrongly written by me. The flowers should(!) be correct though.

There is a logical contradiction with flowers at farm №4.

Please check the flowers, especially carnation flowers. I made a drawing of the situation and the situation described now it's impossible unless the houses are not in the straight line but in a kind of circle. Perhaps the words "far right" should be replaced with "far left" in one case. One of the administrators, please check it. Thank you!
Also, why there are only 4 kinds of flowers in the game? Poppy flowers, violets, roses and carnation flowers? What is the fifth kind of flower?

I wrote down all hints, in different papers... something is wrong.... Something like you told Filipeczek

The hints have been updated again. It's logical now but for the current moment, with only 4 kinds of flowers I see two correct solutions. 8|

There are multiple solutions as it stands now

How is this supposed to be solvable with only 4 types of flowers and 4 types of character traits? Come on, Latten, where are you?

Because of the use of the words IN and ON and since others stated IN the (color) farm I decided that Benny did not live on the green farm,,,, but that carnation/pink thing sure confused me,, I had worked on this thing for an hour,,, and still am confused
Think I need to erase my previous notes and start over!! If not too late!

Glad someone else has discovered that as well, so it's not just me.
  • edited 13.02.2015
Yes, things are not able to be solved as it stands...need one more flower and one more personality trait...and the hints that go with them. ?(

The missing character trait is not that important - just make one up like 'Intelligent', and the clues to the other 4 will put it in the correct place by elimination.

BUT... the missing flower type means the puzzle is not solvable. We are left with either A or B like Roses or 'Unknowns', and with no clue to 'Unknowns' we can not answer the question of who likes roses without guessing.

It's weird, but today I saw some changes and 19-th (!!!) hint in russian forum.

The puzzle is buggy ) But at least I know that Lilly likes tulips (shhhh)

Latten won`t be back until Monday, so all you can do is answer based on the hints given on this forum ONLY. If, as you say, it means that there are 2 valid answers to a question, choose one or give both, Latten can sort it out when he checks the results.

Its not just two answers... Its really an incomplete puzzle.

Hodor, I see one possible solution that forces the 4 given traits making the 5th moot, but at least one other that doesn't.

I've not spent very much time trying to solve this unsolveable puzzle, so there could be many permutations - all I meant was that 'in principle' you do not need a clue to every character trait. A carefully crafted logic puzzle could have one or more elements which are deduced from elimination - unfortunately this one does not appear to fall into this category.

I really tried to solve this... used a lot of paper pieces and time... ;)
Something is really wrong with the hints, it cannot be just my "bad English"
Anyway, i posted an answer... try my luck ;)

You guys are completely right, one hint didn't make it into the puzzle - we just recieved it a bit too late last Friday.

We're super sorry, and we're just now talking about what to do best and how to continue the event now.

We dugg around the forums and it seems to vary around. The one that seemed the most complete had extravagant on N11 and violets on N12.

What I understood from the "hints" and description is that puzzle involved a bit of mathematical logic but also guessing. What could help in guessing is a bit of different kind of logic (connected with what we associate with certain pop cultural cliches/stereotypes) . Indeed we could see multiple correct solution but some felt more probable.
That's what i thought until now when I see Latten said that indeed some hints were missing so I suppose my guesses were all wrong :(

You haven't revealed all the possible correct answers so I feel like you've left me hanging. I'd like to know whether I solved it or not.

You had same answers as me & so did a couple of the winners, so I guess we got it right.

And I don't know if any of the other winners have been awarded their prizes yet, but I haven't, so the errors go on.

    Hey Emma663,

if you still cannot see your prize ingame, please reload the page.

All winners should have been credited by now. :)

I only just managed to stop rolling about on the floor laughing at the Valentines logic, is there anything that GGS cannot get wrong, At least they did not charge us to put our answers in. oopps that'll be next time. Yeah that P up at a brewery and monkeys spring to mind.

Well I enjoyed trying to solve the puzzle, and yes I won one of the prizes. I feel very fortunate that I Did. Considering I did the best educated guess I could. I hope there are more interesting puzzles like this (only with correct information) to be entered in again.
I think it was interesting and helped keep the whole game interesting.
And of course wining gold was nice.
Maybe offer a prize of a GML see how many stumble over themselves to try and win it... No offense intended. But from observation of many posts, gold & Gold Mining licenses are THE coveted prizes.
And poor Omar just cannot seem to suit anyone when it comes to these things.
So dangle the carrot in front of our noses.....
    again,
Cause I bit at the one in front of mine,,,,
