I have not found any need to use it (so far), the only benefit I can think of is to make room in your stable, but then what?.... You buy another horse that is lower than the one you just released lol 8| ... Having said that, I am all for options, so the option is there if anyone ever needed it for something I guess.

Without any true empirical data, I suspect that Horses with different parentage give better chances for quality improvements. IF that were the case, you might let go new horses, searching for that a parentage that you need. Shrug. Otherwise, I don't really know.

That's what I mean, the only difference between new horses is the parentage. And the task for breeding quality lvl 2 talked about breeding arabians and thoroughbreds... two different types of horses. Shrug. Who knows.

The option is there, so that when someone does it by accident, they can come in here and complain about GGS rather than blame themselves for not paying attention, lol.

It may be far wiser to up your horses levels just in case there is a breeding stock percentage added onto the foal....but I wouldn't now for darn sure:huh:

The only thing i can think of is to make room for another horse, but then it is better to just breed them.

Don't know why this option is in the game, it is one of the most useless things that is in the game.

I am not a moderator, but maybe this makes some sense:

For now there is no need to set a horse free. But lets say that you trained a couple of horses to maximum (lvl 100).
So what you want to do then is to breed a horse with desired breeding effects. So if breeding does not give you a good effect, you release the horse and try again. Keep in mind that this strategy will work only later in the game with the couple of champions allready well established in a stall and with plenty (read: to much) horseshoes to waist.

Good thought. Better than my parentage idea (though I still don't know why they show 'family tree')
