I have a question for one of you experts, because this is my first attempt at building a racing horse.

I got lucky with my first level 25 foal and he got the breeding quality level 1 at birth, then I got luck again with his mate who also got the breeding quality level 1.

Once I got both those foals trained to level 37 it was time to breed them and that foal also got the breeding quality level 1.

My question is... Dose this the breeding quality level carry over from parents to foal or was I just lucky again, thank you
Yes, the foal will always take over the highest breeding quality the parents have. So if one of the parents have breeding quality 2 and the other has none or quality 1, the foal will always be born with at least quality 2.

Yes, the quality passes to a foal. It parents have a different quality, the foal gets a better one + a chance to improve it by 1:

If you breed quality 2 horse with a quality 3 horse, the foal can have quality 3 or quality 4.

P.S.: Sorry, did not see that the question was allready answered.

  • Can someone please refer me to a good method of breeding and leveling horses, I know Im not doing it correctly.
    Thank you peoples :D
  • You have three main traits for each horse. Strength, agility, and endurance. They affect your performance in the championship as following:
    Show jumping discipline
    (Strength x 3) + (Agility x 2) + (Endurance x 1) + (Jump power x 1)
    Dressage discipline
    (Agility x 3) + (Endurance x 2) + (Strength x 1) + (Elegance x 1)
    Racing discipline
    (Endurance x 3) + (Strength x 2) + (Agility x 1) + (Speed x 1)
    (Taken from crazybigfarm website)

You need horseshoes to level up your horse. Two things: The higher the level, the more horseshoes it will cost. Also, for each ADDITIONAL level you train your horse, you will need even more horseshoes to train (exponentially higher). This is why breeding is so important.

About breeding: When you breed two horses, you can gain "breeding effects" which are basically added traits (separate of the levels). These can be any of those six traits (the three that are not listed as trainable). Usually, each horse has a limit on breeding effect slots and the more you breed the more slots you unlock. You can pick the effect you like the best. It's best to focus on one discipline only so you can always win in that one, but its difficult to select correctly because each cycle of breeding ,you might end up with better breeding qualities in another category. That's why it is generally better to always take strength, agility, and endurance traits until your horse is high level, and then you can choose the other three traits.

When you breed, your new horse will be equal to (first horse level + second horse level) / 2. However, your "additional level" thing i talked about will reset (the first one wont). So when you breed horses, it is easier to train them after breeding.

The general strategy is to train two horses to level 13, then after that breed them. Train that horse to level 25, and make two more horses to 13 and then breed to 25. Now breed the two 25's and train the new one to 37. Rinse and repeat. The general opinion is that 12 levels (except the first time) is the best choice.

my opinion is to do level 50 (instead of 49, so 13+12+12+12 = 49, but go the extra step to 50) so you get 1 more breeding effect.

You also need a lot of stable slots in order to do this too

Someone called it "Pyramid Breeding," which picture made a lot of sense to me.   You take two lower level horses,  then breed them to get the higher level horse.  (Sort of the top of the pyramid.)
The reason for breeding is because a new foal trains MUCH faster (and cheaper) than an older, already trained horse.  Usually you can move a new horse up about twelve levels before things start slowing down.  I usually train a horse until one training session no longer moves the horse up at least one full level.
Once you get a fairly high level horse (Level 47 or higher) you'll probably want to keep that one as your "competition" horse because he'll get you up into the Platinum League during the tournaments.  So you'd add a third slot to your horse stable and continue the pyramid breeding without touching your competition horse.  Hopefully you'll make a comparably high level horse during the tournament and can then breed it with your competition horse (and train up your new, soon-to-be higher-level foal) during the break between tournaments.

I agree with Buddy except for the last paragraph about tournaments.
My top horse still gets challenged even when it's training and, after completing a training session with it, i use it to race all available fuel before putting it back into training.

    Hi Jett. C, and others,
A most recent development in my stable, I've had two horses, both level 23 with additional attributes across the board, they have been bred from earlier horses, and the 'foal' added to the stable only three weeks ago. With the assistance of the meadow (three visits) and intensive training, the 'foal' is now sitting on level 38 with additional attributes. I'm delighted!
    Good luck to all,
    LG

My greenhouse seeds are now at zero.  Is there anyway to replenish now that Viking farm is gone?  I didn't know enough to buy them with the RUNES and don't have enough RUNES balance to purchase new seeds.  OUCH.  Live and Learn.  (At least, I'll know next time, when Viking farm returns)  LOL

@kwk (US1)   Have you noticed that the bottom slots on the Boat have little green arrows at left and right ?
He will always want to take all your fruit but you can use them to reduce this so that seeds last longer.

There are many ways to get horseshoes now. I try to fill contracts in the organic market that offer horseshoes. You also get horseshoes from many of the events now days. You can buy the with medals won on league challenge. So many ways I can't think of them now.

If your co-op is doing the jetty you always get seeds in your personal chest. Make sure you get your friendship meter 100%. If there are too many people in your co-op and you can't donate enough materials then donate the special items. You may want to check all your pages for the greenhouse for seeds, mine keeps going 24/7 mostly with free seeds.
  • What do you do with all those horseshoes you earn ?

my biggest question is: what is horse training use for?

all the games goods goes to the ship to earn horseshoe, and all the horseshoe use only to train horses....

Then what happen next after we train our horses???

If we challange other player, then, we got gold horse shoes...

The only thing use gold horseshoe is just to up grade the training arena...

and if i not mistaken, we got no XP from the horse training and etc... its seems like all the farming goes to nothing because its end up in the horse training.

in other task, we got XP and rewards so we could up grading levels, expand the farm etc, but some how its just like wasting goods to train the horses.

So is there anyone could explain me what is the benevit of training the horses?

The Traveler boat in the Cooperation village is also demanding a lot of efford, but he returning it into some usefull gifts like rare seeds, wheel of fortune's token, mistery box, etc. So what is horseshoe actually worth of?

The Horse  Breeding and Racing can bring in some rewards , like GMLs , but is a very long term part of the game . Before the farms were greatly expanded and we got the Deep Sea Fishing , it was really the end game .
I find it quite interesting , building up the strengths of the horses, but it does take months .

Similar as before: breed two ordinary horses (no quality) and pray :).

    To make it more understandable:

1: When you breed two horses, the baby horse interits quality of parents (the better one) and has a chance
to increase it buy one. So, for example if you breed a horse with quality 2 and horse with quality 1, the baby horse will have the quality 2 or 3. If you breed horses with quality 4 and 1, the baby gets quality 4 or 5.
So, you will never loose quality and you gain chance to increase it.

2: If the horse will increase the quality or not, is a random effect. The anouncement said that the chance depends on the level of the horse - higher the level, higher are the chances to increse the quality. But exact numbers are not known.

3: The strategy is to ignore the quality of the horse and just breed horses normally. Sooner or later, as the level of horses grow, the quality will also grow. My 132 horse for example,  is a quality 6 horse.
The breeding strategy: train horses approximately for ten levels then breed them:
     a) starting with 2 lvl 0 horses - tran them to lvl 13, breed, train a new horse to lvl 25
    b) get another horse 25 by the same method, breed the two lvl 25, train to 35
    c) get another 35 the same way, breed, train to 45 .....
