URGENT: is there no way to cancel breeding?

snork (INT1)snork (INT1) Posts: 518
I could not see the prosepective foal beforehand. Once I saw its characteristics were lower than the parent, I wanted to exit.

It said it would then select the breeding automatically.

I closed the browser instead.

But whenever I open the horses now, all I get is that breeding window.

I want to train and compete my old horses, not breed that useless foal please? Is there no way out of it, no CANCEL at all?

Should I wait for the next update that might mean the breeding stops when I click X, or give up my horses and accept the foal I do not want?

Once you click breed you can't change it. You can see the prospective foal in the breeding window. But once you click it and go to the Breeding Effects you can't go back. The foal may start worse than one parent (it is the average of the two round down), but once you starting training it, you will see its actually better. It will train far faster than either parent.

And there will never be cancel the breeding once you have the foal as quality increases randomly. Upper left corner below normal horseshoes is where you click to go back to stablewindow from breeding window.

I am afraid there is no cancelling or reverse possible, stork. I am sorry! But maybe 1 small consolation: I heard from other players that your foal will train far quicker than its parents!

When I read in the official announcement that the foal would make the parents vanish, I decided to first take 4 horses, to train them intensively and only after that: breed a foal out of horses no. 3 and 4. I am just too attached to my first 2 horses!! :S

Jiesta, at the normal training rate, it will take you forever to get to any skill level worth mentioning. Right now I have one horse training 'slowly' from 39 to 42 (second time through training rounds for this horse), another horse going quickly from 19 to 29 (First time through training for this horse) And a new foal, of course going 0-14.

Thank you :((( My first mutant had +7 speed and that would now be changed for a measly plus 1 agility so I wanted to wait and train more with Mutant 1 and Barbie 4. I can't afford the shoes to ever get more than 2 horses.

Still, a note to GGBF: that doesn't seem what you had said; instead of being able to chose the breeding result, we can take it or never use the horses again.

I know, I know, Yakoska - you're so right. But: I am still gathering courage to let go of my first horses (sigh!) and I have no competitive spirit at all - which is not really helping :p

I think you'll be glad of your slowness in the long run. "2nd Generation Mutant" and "Fourth Barbie" look exactly the same and both have lesser points than their parents or grandparents. I might not get any new shells -> shoes for weeks and should just have force-closed the horse farm and ignored the started breeding process.

Once the breeding process is done, you can choose which of all possible breeding effects (given by parents or created while breeding) you would like to apply for your new horse.

Sounds like there is no choice and no choice means no strategy, no challenge.

Sure there are choices. Not the first time through, and sure, some choices are easy... but Elegance +5 or Speed +5? That's a choice.

Jiesta, believe it or not, I had the same problem. But I was able to change my allegiance from a single horse (I didn't care about the new second one) to His line... His name was Beetlebaum... then came Son of a B... then Bee Three.... now Before Vita... because obviously the next generation, b5, is a vitamin... etc.

Maybe you would like to share the secret with us, how do you manage to store 4 horses in a lvl 2 stable?

I can't remember writing that I already had 4 horses. I wrote that I decided to take 4 horses - never said when I would do that....
But - then again - there are always people who keep having this urge to carp or splitting hairs, n'est-ce pas?

It's not my first time through, but about the third breeding.

Well all I can say, Snork2, is that I've had more options than slots in the course of my training.

    THX Yakoska!
And I understand from my coop-members that indeed one has choices the further they get. And you are right Stork, they confirmed to me that the ones who didn't rush into training their horses as fast as possible, now do have far more horseshoes available! ^^

Mods, I think the answer to my question is "NO!"?

Before I start asking why my +5 speed (and highest racing TP) means I lose all racing competitions (even when I win other competitions), maybe close this thread?
