@artful (US1) I just tried it on my farm & it was there. Are you sure you didn't accidentally demolish it? It does look very similar to the undergrowth. :/
Positive.  Oh, well, Blink and the thing will be over before we know it.  :)

When I bought that expansion plot and removed the undergrowth the decoration was there.

I have heard of a few incidents where a player has demolished it thinking it was undergrowth, chances are the same thing happened to you.

At end of temp farm do unused snow dollars convert to runestones?

Not to any great benefit.  I try to spend down, then sell off the products before the temp farm ends.

Just Before two days of ending of Temporary farm, start to destroy all buildings to get more runestones

Yep!  Also, I keep an eye on the feed so I don't end up with too much on hand.  You can sell the fish, but not the feed.

Every day I get more snow dollar from daily tasks. But I cannot use all of them.
  • It's kind of useless how they make delete all of out progress at the end of each temp farm. It makes me not want to participate because all of the time and money we spent on it is wasted.

Think of it as a 24-day event. Time and money are not wasted if you follow the steps to get through chapter 2.2 and ignore the side tasks. The idea isn't to finish, but to allow you to get the seeds to grow the fruits that the ship asks for so it doesn't stay in dock, and to earn extra horseshoes to train up your horses.  You only have to do one type of farm -- candy, tropical, or viking.  Of course, you can skip it altogether if it's not your thing or you don't race your horse. :)

or you can make millions of runestones (you dont have to do the chapters if you dont want to) by making the higher priced products and exchange them for thousands of seaweed, hundreds of WoF tokens or buy special houses that give one more worker

temp farms take millions of farm dollars to build and run, it's whether you feel the benefits are worth the cost, personally i like having thousands of seaweed and it's the most effective way i know of acquiring such numbers (i have a lab dedicated to producing seaweed and nothing else but even that is very slow in comparison to the amount of seaweed you can get from temp farming)

When does the Viking farm end? I know I've seen a calendar around here somewhere, can't find it now....

Here is an event calendar that is helpful also.  CrazyBigFarm55 does it again!

that is really super crazybigfarm re calendar...are you doing one for September?
  • ronin7 (INT1)ronin7 (INT1) INT1 Posts: 542
I won a jackpot reward which got dropped into my winter farm inventory...will I still have it after the temp farm ends?  if so, how do I place on another farm OR is that even possible?  I really would love to have Viking Workbench on my main farm as I'm setting up a winter corner exclusive to Viking stuff.  Can anyone please confirm if my hoping is that I get to keep it AND that it'll drop into my main farm inventory box after the temp winter farm event is over...thanks.

CrazyBigFarm55 does a great job of keeping her website updated.  Of course, with the calendar GGS can make unexpected changes.  But, I'm sure there will be one for September.  Just keep an eye out for it.

The other pages of the website are also fantastic. Highly recommend studying the various links to improve your game play.  Currently, I have four pages open.  The County Fair, The Hard Worker Event, the Viking Farm and Mysterious Asia.  Really great for planning ahead and knowing all the tips for success.

CrazyBigFarm55 is not only a knowledgeable player, she is a fantastic leader of our coop!  Farmers First.  We are non-compete, and a fun, supportive, no drama group.

I'm so much happier and more successful in the game now.  Check us out, if you like...

Hi ronin7!  Unfortunately the Wheel of Fortune  for the temp farm decos are for the temp farms only.  The only advantage is to place them, then demolish for the runestones.

I'd like to see some of these available for the main farms also, but that is not possible at this time.  However, there are some great decos available at the runestone trader.  The Rune Circle is 135 happiness.  It takes up a lot of space at 7x7, but it's nice.  I also like the ancestral tree but demolished all three that I bought with rune stones while landscape architect was here today.  It takes up 7x6 and is less than 90.

Anyway, hope this helps.  Here is a link about the viking farm that you may find helpful also.  Using the information here I was able to complete all three chapters this time.  Hooray!

    Happy Farming!

No, you cannot use it on the permanent farms, it is for the Viking farm only.  Everything disappears when the Island ends.  The only thing that will be left behind will be the runestones from the items you sell off. Those you can use with the runestone trader while he is here.

That's why I never spin the wheel on temporary farm. If that decoration can be put on my main/gourmet/flower farm, I will/must spin it.

thanks everybody ; think it's finally sinking in that everything on temp farm is TEMP... ggg :( ... such is life.  Taking your advice kwk; will be demolishing it as soon as I place it on temp farm; really good idea for getting extra runes.  Again, thanks to all of you; goodnight for today,,,sigh...another late night...ggg.
  • how can i check how many runes i have?
  • how can i check how many runes i have?
@Amy1223 (US1)  They are in the equipment tab in your inventory & the total also shows when you click on the runestone trader. :)

I have never played a temp farm and said that I wouldn't be tempted to do so, but the bitter weather here in Scotland has incited me to try ;)   I am unsure if it is worth my while to do so, as I don't have a lot of farm cash available at the moment (bought 3 plots of land and done tons of upgrades) and don't want to be left penniless.

Could someone please help me out - should I start it (the points for the WWCC would be nice) or should I still not bother with the temp farms. Would the rewards for sending the boat out if I can't fill all the boxes be missed?  I don't play the horse championships a lot, just dabble, so the horseshoe loss wouldn't bother me too much but the XP and cash might be a big loss.  HELLLPPP !!!

I reckon that $4,000,000 is the minimum spend but it will open the last 2 slots on the boat. You will the be committed to filling them or only getting 2 boat visits a day instead of 3.
I can give you my strategy pointers if you decide to go for it.  :¬)

Thanks @UncleJohn(GB1) that would be a great help.  I have 10,000,000 to play with and lots of fish to sell in inventory (also am selling off a lot of redundant deco's that are clogging up my inventory).  Have done as many upgrades as I want for the foreseeable future, so I might just go for it.  Have lots of seeds in inventory as they are gifts from adventurers boat so should be able to supply the boat for a while.

Just don't shout at me if I ask too many questions lol ;)

First thing is to go find the task list and keep it open to refer to. (I use an old one but I think crazybigfarm.tk has one). Your aim is to do the "book" tasks and ignore the "side" tasks. (unless the are effort free like Rename Your Farm or Sell 60 Flax) and also ignore the daily tasks. Whilst performing one task you should be stockpiling stuff for the next task on the list, in general, don't sell anything or produce anything unless it is for a task, you will need the stock. For $4 mill. your aim is to complete as far as the 1st task of chapter 2 (no berry orchard), (for $7 mill. I get to task2.3, no seals required)

:¬(  I've mislaid my notes for the $4mill spend so I'll give you the $7mill one and you can adjust it yourself.
First job is to upgrade the Bank, cash flow in the first few days is critical, and then it's driven by the tasks. I end up with -
    10 plots, 4 Houses, 2 Fields, 3 Penguins, 4 Decos (1 large) and 1 of everything else.
Silo, Composter, penguins and Berries are level 1, everything else is level 2 (including Fence and Gate) except the Bank which is level 3.
For the $4mill spend I think I used 9 plots, the Bank at lvl 2, 1 less Penguin and appropriately fewer workers.

We are on the same server, so feel free to msg me in game and I'll do my best to help  :¬)

Well I followed everything but didn't get the snow dollars :(  Is that an old part of the event or should I have been given them?  I don't have enough temp farm cash to do all the first buildings now :((
