I have heard of a few incidents where a player has demolished it thinking it was undergrowth, chances are the same thing happened to you.
temp farms take millions of farm dollars to build and run, it's whether you feel the benefits are worth the cost, personally i like having thousands of seaweed and it's the most effective way i know of acquiring such numbers (i have a lab dedicated to producing seaweed and nothing else but even that is very slow in comparison to the amount of seaweed you can get from temp farming)

The other pages of the website are also fantastic. Highly recommend studying the various links to improve your game play. Currently, I have four pages open. The County Fair, The Hard Worker Event, the Viking Farm and Mysterious Asia. Really great for planning ahead and knowing all the tips for success.
CrazyBigFarm55 is not only a knowledgeable player, she is a fantastic leader of our coop! Farmers First. We are non-compete, and a fun, supportive, no drama group.
I'm so much happier and more successful in the game now. Check us out, if you like...
I'd like to see some of these available for the main farms also, but that is not possible at this time. However, there are some great decos available at the runestone trader. The Rune Circle is 135 happiness. It takes up a lot of space at 7x7, but it's nice. I also like the ancestral tree but demolished all three that I bought with rune stones while landscape architect was here today. It takes up 7x6 and is less than 90.
Anyway, hope this helps. Here is a link about the viking farm that you may find helpful also. Using the information here I was able to complete all three chapters this time. Hooray!

Happy Farming!
I have never played a temp farm and said that I wouldn't be tempted to do so, but the bitter weather here in Scotland has incited me to try
I am unsure if it is worth my while to do so, as I don't have a lot of farm cash available at the moment (bought 3 plots of land and done tons of upgrades) and don't want to be left penniless.
Could someone please help me out - should I start it (the points for the WWCC would be nice) or should I still not bother with the temp farms. Would the rewards for sending the boat out if I can't fill all the boxes be missed? I don't play the horse championships a lot, just dabble, so the horseshoe loss wouldn't bother me too much but the XP and cash might be a big loss. HELLLPPP !!!
I can give you my strategy pointers if you decide to go for it. :¬)
Thanks @UncleJohn(GB1) that would be a great help. I have 10,000,000 to play with and lots of fish to sell in inventory (also am selling off a lot of redundant deco's that are clogging up my inventory). Have done as many upgrades as I want for the foreseeable future, so I might just go for it. Have lots of seeds in inventory as they are gifts from adventurers boat so should be able to supply the boat for a while.
Just don't shout at me if I ask too many questions lol
:¬( I've mislaid my notes for the $4mill spend so I'll give you the $7mill one and you can adjust it yourself.
First job is to upgrade the Bank, cash flow in the first few days is critical, and then it's driven by the tasks. I end up with -
10 plots, 4 Houses, 2 Fields, 3 Penguins, 4 Decos (1 large) and 1 of everything else.
Silo, Composter, penguins and Berries are level 1, everything else is level 2 (including Fence and Gate) except the Bank which is level 3.
For the $4mill spend I think I used 9 plots, the Bank at lvl 2, 1 less Penguin and appropriately fewer workers.
We are on the same server, so feel free to msg me in game and I'll do my best to help :¬)
