    Hi
Just noticed that we don't get any runes for demolishing decos or buildings, I hope this is a bug as well....

*There are some errors I found in the text in the Event Overview for the information of the greenhouse, the ship and the horseranch Event Overview information - it says seashells instead of runestones - they used exactly the same text as in the Island Farm Event Overview, and did not edit it to remove the "seashells" text and change it to "runestones."

That's because the "new" Viking farm, is lazy programming.
They simply have take a copy of the Island, change things name and change the graphic, change the written story.
But all task, prices, build times etc is directly copy from the Island, just with other names.

It's the same, as if a car dealer takes an old car, paint it in another color, give the car a new model name, and then say it's a brand new car when he try to sell it.
    - But in this situation, "the car dealer" have do a bad job: There are "lazy days" in the painting work, so we here and there can see the old color (text from the island), and the motor leaking oil (fish are swapped).

Confused Penguins with Great Auk. Different species, different families, even if it looks about the same.

That's what I said. It's linguistics, and how all naming in biology, geography etc. works - not confusion. Hundreds of years ago, one species was named after another.

Has anyone else noticed the little people hiding in the woods & on the beaches????? I wondered if they may be self portraits by the team at GGS lmao

People? Two owls. The penguin floating in on an ice floe, the walruss. With zoom in and glasses, I see the rabbits and I was nearly happy when i thought I saw a Norwegian forest cat, but of course it will be an arctic fox (why do they not want cats on BF?). Can you screenshot the little people?

Thank you, I can't even see them on your pic *sadface* but I see a big hand and yellow and blue eyes on two blobs. I wish I could force-zoom the GGBF page. I did find more pink blobs along the coast now, maybe you were right with tiny GGBF employee portraits.

Yep, they could have made it different a little... like the Gourmet farm vs Main. Similar, but different enough. Of course then everyone would be complaining it was even harder than the Tropical Island.... :)

I was just wondering, what's that house on the cliff to the top right of the farm, is that Santa's house and will it open at midnight on the 24th, full of nice surprises for us, players? 8)

And there is some kind of a Viking ghost hiding in a grotto underneath the main waterfall which also looks like a Viking breast...

I assume the monster/beast behind the waterfall is a nod to Grendel.

The beast is a norhten brother of a beast that lives in tropical island :)

But I am not woring about it anymore. There is a sword in stone on island too, so I suppose king Arthur must be hiding somewhere on the island as well.

Lets be real game makers. Give us a break. or are you wanting members too quit playing. We just finished or tried too, a unseen event too finis all 3 chapters today you have another money drainer. let us have a break too make up some farm cash and maybe just play the main 3 farms. Or reward us with some free farm cash big time. Also you had us do a special deco event. horses, island and coop missions all in the same time frame We are humans not Machines.

I've never understood this type of comments/complaints. Is it not entirely in our (gamers) power if we participate in any event offered? Can't all offered events happily sit where they are with me playing just the 3 main farms if I would wish to chose so? Or is there any hidden enforcing mechanism, which somehow slip under my radars leaving me unaffected? Have I missed something?

I like excercising freedom of choice. The more the game makers offer the larger option pool I have to chose from. Since I started noone ever forced me to do an event (well with the exception of some too heavily goal oriented and overly competitive co-op leaders ........ they tried, anyway, haha). The "worst" these game maker do to me with their "rich" offer is to make me strategise and prioritise, which I truly welcome as part of the game.

So, is there any catch I missed? :):):)

You know what, game makers? The more, the better! Carry on! Just remove those unexpected irreversible traps you planted. :):):)

You should grow sardines as the task requires. Yesterday there was a bug, there were herrings instead. Now it's ok.

Agree!! Nope you didn't miss anything...If i don't have enough farm dollars to do a farm event no biggie i sit out and go for the next one...if i don't have time to do a series of special events offered that week no biggie i do what i can or what i want. What i don't do is try and change everybody else's ability to have options to play things simply because it's may be too much for ME personally and MY play style preferences or because MY schedule doesn't allow it.:whistling:

Probably the most disappointing part of the "NEW" viking island.... is how much it's NOT new. It's exactly the same as the original island. The timing of builds and harvests, yields, and even the amount of runestones (seashells) collected for completing tasks. All are exactly the same as the tropical island.

It's hardly new at all, save for the new pictures and names of stuff.

Is it really that hard to create new, original events that don't feel like a re-hashed effort to have players spend even more gold?

Don't do the island farm. Or apparently the viking thing. You spend all your money on things that just go away. The rewards are not great.

Exactly!!! That is my most serious criticism too! Otherwise I am having fun, although it's a bit dark and gloomy... ;)

What did people guess this was?

At first I thought Golem with a halo. Then that the stone was part of a giant turtle. Then that it was just a pair of cut off legs. It's the most disturbing little blob for me.

Got sucked into trying the Viking Farm, it's even worse than the Island Farm. Definitely will NOT be doing this again. Takes forever to gain any Runestones and that's what you need to buy the seeds for the new crop. This is my first and last time doing this farm. No more "30 day wonders" for me!

We found them on the very first day of the Viking farm. See my post on page 3 in this very thread: I call them "little Norwegian Trolls" ;)

Just a game money waster. Its for people who have their 3 farms and nothing else to do with it. The ratio for the Island Farm is terrible. Game money versus seashells

Yes there is always freedom to choose not do the event. However, they did not explain the consequences of playing the island when they gave it as a task. If I had known my tropical seeds would become useless if I started the Viking island, I would have chosen not to do it.

What I don't understand is why they made all the seeds from the island farm useless. Aren't they trying to get people excited about the the horses? Lots of people bought lots of island seeds to use to buy extra horseshoes, and then they were rendered meaningless they very next day. I like the viking farm. I am all for it. But they also could still find a way to use the island farm seed.

I'm stuck on this Viking expedition. I really like the design and details (little rabbit, etc.). However, 12,000 to produce one flaxen tunic? And I can't make more money by selling them? Uhh, did I just waste $100,000 exchanging for Viking Snow Dollar units, only to discover it's all a money hole? Help! I'm sinking!!!

I agree, and do not expect to change anybody else's option to play if they want. However, I DO expect to be warned of possible negative effects before I follow a task on my main farm. Working the Tropical Island vigorously for a month to have enough shells over the period when I would have less time to play is now negated by doing Viking Farm. And of course, developers never mentioned that would happen.
