Hello Carrie, I am also very new (about 3 weeks) playing and although I am getting on well with the game, just find it so difficult to connect with neighbours. Keep watering the tree but it doesn't grow any bigger and have contributed to several (co-op) projects but without outcome. I quite enjoy playing the game but just can't understand why it is so difficult getting in touch with other farmers. I would be glad of any help. Thaks

Hi there Gang, after many weeks of trying it seems that I am at last able to post in the forum!!!

I am Chris (Christine), the co-op Deputy in charge of subscriptions, so if you dont pay you can expect a visit from one of my henchmen (Max, Rich, Nick) who can be very persuasive (Cabbagehead project anyone??).

I am one of the quieter members of the Gang (Max, stop laughing, I can hear you up here in Scotland!), and to be honest I cant get a word in edgewise when Carol, Carrie and Beenie get gossiping! I am Mum of Shivi, another of our Deputies, and have 4 other children.

I found this game when my old game (Gardens of Time) was taken from being an online game to being only on Facebook. I dont do facebook so searched for a similar game that gave me the same realtime interaction as I had become used to. I am SOOO pleased to have stumbled across BF, and I thank Lori for inviting me to be a part of this fantastic group of people. Everyone here is such fun, and you can tell that from the chat! I couldnt have imagined a year ago that I would have met such wonderful people who - even though we have never met - I would class as my friends.

Okay, I DID say that I was a quiet one didnt I, with not a lot to say ?? (Max! your still laughing!).

I just want to say that this is the best co-op to be a member of, there is always someone online no matter what time of day you play, and we are always available for a friendly chat.

Thank you, and Happy Farming ....... Chris x

Thanks for your interest TMNT7. We would have loved to have you in the gang but unfortunately you are on the wrong server. We are on EN1. Keep sending invite requests to other coops on US1. Tell them about yourself and that you active online. There will be a coop just waiting to have you with them. Happy farming.

    Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
    And never brought to mind?
    Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
    And auld lang syne?

    Chorus:
For auld lang syne, my dear,
    For auld lang syne.
    We'll take a cup o' kindness yet,
    For auld lang syne.

And surely ye'll be your pint-stowp!
    And surely I'll be mine!
And we'll take a cup o' kindness yet,
    for auld lang syne.

We twa hae run about the braes
    And pou'd the gowans fine.
We've wandered mony a weary foot,
    Sin' auld lang syne.

We twa hae sported i' the burn,
    From morning sun till dine,
But seas between us braid hae roared
    Sin' auld lang syne.

And ther's a hand, my trusty friend,
    And gie's a hand o' thine;
    We'll tak' a right good willie-waught,,
For auld lang syne. (with thanks to chivalry.com)

In case you’d like to sing the complete song this New Year’s Eve, here are the full lyrics translated from the original Scottish into English:

    Should old acquaintance be forgot,
    and never brought to mind?
    Should old acquaintance be forgot,
    and old lang syne?

    CHORUS:
For auld lang syne, my dear,

    for auld lang syne,
we’ll take a cup of kindness yet,
    for auld lang syne.

And surely you’ll buy your pint cup!
    and surely I’ll buy mine!
And we’ll take a cup o’ kindness yet,
    for auld lang syne.
    CHORUS

We two have run about the slopes,
    and picked the daisies fine;
But we’ve wandered many a weary foot,
    since auld lang syne.
    CHORUS

We two have paddled in the stream,
    from morning sun till dine;
But seas between us broad have roared
    since auld lang syne.
    CHORUS

And there’s a hand my trusty friend!
And give me a hand o’ thine!
    And we’ll take a right good-will draught,
    for auld lang syne.
    CHORUS (with thanks to Grammarly.com)

Where-ever you are and whichever version you sing, I hope that 2015 brings you all the health and happiness that I wish to you all. Thank you all for being a part of the best co-op!! And all good wishes also to everyone who plays this wonderful game, and all who work at GGS who have provided us with this game.

Hi all, just a reminder that it is the weekend, that means subs are due:). Thanks to all who have already paid - if anyone needs help with the payment please message me and I will assist.

I have found out that if I try to post in the forum via the game I can only type a couple of letters and then the comp freezes and Auto-Save message appears. I am now having to exit the game and enter the forum via Google and I can type my message, use smilies:D and even bold and underline that I could never do if I used the in-game entry to the forum. Anyone know what the reason is please?

    Coop Challenge Version 2.0

    Changes

It is worth noting a couple of the changes in the new style Coop Challenge. Firstly, this time round, there are some great prizes for the 10 top scoring coops. Since we have 37 members ranging from level 20 to 212 there is no reason we shouldn't, with effort on our part, be one of the lucky winners.

Secondly, they are introducing an internal ranking system so we can see how we compete against one another within the coop. I really don't like this idea. Because we have such a wide range of levels I feel it will be demotivating for the newer, lower level players, who cannot possibly hope to compete against the higher 3-figure players. I suggest that we all strongly disregard this feature. Although it shows achievement, it doesn't really give a fair representation of effort, as some people will have more fields and chickens than others and some will have upgraded their multifarmers to a higher degree. All we ask is that each team member make an effort. Every little helps and we cannot hope to win without a push from all concerned. As always, we are stronger together!

    Tips For Success

You have to be in it to win it! Fire up those missions as soon as you log on and as soon as one finishes.

Hold onto your pigs, cows, goats and donkeys until you get a dung mission.

Hold onto your ducks until you get an egg mission.

    Use humus.

Those of you who have nurseries, start stockpiling special corn and special wildflower seeds.

Even if you don't win, give it your best: You get reputation points just for taking part.

If you are up against some of the more insane gold players, don't be downhearted -the more that goes into the mission pot, the higher the points for all, so they are doing you a favour as well as helping themselves.

Fire up your powerhouse tractor if it's available before harvesting as it will increase your cash as well as your dung. These missions pay well in certs and reputation points.

Corn/Flowers: These mission give less rewards than eggs and dung but chances are you will be planting one or the other so you may as well get the points for it. If you need your fields to plant other crops, that's fine - fire up the mission anyway. There's a 50% you won't be able to contribute but a 50% chance that you will!

Give a little thought to your farm machines: The Multifarmer increases the number of reputation points that you win in missions and is a great asset for this competition. However, all machines need certs to upgrade so it may be an idea to upgrade the Earth Breaker first as this increases the certs you get in missions and helps you to very quickly upgrade the other machines. The Powerhouse when activated increases not only product yield, but dung too so is an asset for missions. It is only active for an hour at a time though, so save it for when you harvest milk from your cows to get the best out of it.

    Benefits of Taking Part

The competition is judged on reputation points and Points Mean Prizes! There are some really high end decos and other useful prizes available during the coop challenge, the more you play the more we all win.

Don't forget, you will also win certs which you can use to increase happiness, add workers, exchange for humus or increase harvest yields via the various farm machines in your garage.

I have taken a penguin chick hostage. If we don't rank in the top ten you will never see his fluffy face alive again.

If we make it to the top ten we get access to upgraded apple and cherry orchards, which give greater yields and take up less space - well worth winning!

Above all this is a great team building challenge, and an opportunity for us to have fun and achieve something worthwhile together.

    Enjoy gang ^^

Hi Gang, just want to say 'Well Done' for the fantastic result in the Co-Op Challenge - the way the team pulled together and cheered each other on was worth the tired eyes, overflowing laundry baskets, hungry families, empty food cupboards

Thank you Nick for the lovely trophy you posted for us, will be printing a copy of that and pinning it on my wall next to the computer.

I would also like to thank you all for the lovely gifts and messages you sent me today - double celebration as I reached level 100 and its my birthday. Those sparkles certainly helped me win a lot of my missions today.

As Nick said, you are a bunch of nutters - and I love being one of the nutters:p. Oh and the Penguin was safely sent on his way at the end of the Challenge^^ (I hope so, Smurf).

    Hi Team,
What a great effort everyone made towards the challenge. It was fantastic fun even if we are all half starved and running empty. Just shows what teamwork can achieve. Most of the team are probably suffering from repetitive strain injury and will need therapy to reverse the need to click at everything. 8| Thanks you Crazy Bunch........and we saved the Penguin. That saves a call to Gargamel to change Smurf back into clay. She's great, really. Just have to curb her violent tendencies.

    Go Gang Go. OOORAH!

    Hi all

The things that we have learnt from the challenge are we need boosters all of the time so we need to be donating towards them rather then a mad rush at the time we thought maybe if we donate when we can afford it as long as we email chris with the heading boosters, if you buy gold during the coop gets the same offer please let chris know.

you need sp seeds so start collecting them now.

as you all have certs now why not upgrade tractors especially multifarmer this will also benefit your farm.

upgrading your chicken coops, pigstys, cows ducks and goats will all help too.

    happy farming

    carrie
