If he does not give a decent answer, remove him, but warn him before he does it again
If I understood correctly, you have no problem that he goes in and out (he is a treveler), but you are afraid that he may not come back after too much going and coming back?
If I understand correctly, if he removes himself from the coop, than there is no limit and he can come back as many times as he like. If you remove him and have an open coop (anyone can join), then he will be blocked after some time.
So if you want him in and out, than just let him remove himself.
so if i remove them they can rejoin as much as they wish, but if they leave there is a limit ???
or is it the other way around ???
If you think, it's logical: those who are removed by coop, are usually either inacitve members (who don't care anyway, bc they don't play anymore) or troublemakers. The limit is there, so that the troublemakers couldn't harass the coops.
Instead if a person removes him/herself, it will not leave a "stain in his/her records", bc they do it voluntarily, for whatever reason (didn't like the coop, want to travel etc). Removing himself will NOT trigger any limit.
So, concluding: you coop member should always remove himself from your coop and also from the one he goes to help. This way he can always return to you, via "open doors" or via application. No limits.
I'm also a traveller and can confirm that there is no limit to how often a traveller can leave & return, as travellers leave by their own choice. As KinBoshi pointed out, it would only be a problem if you were kicking the traveller out and he kept coming back. But there's no reason to do that, so there should be no problems.
And I'd like to commend you for being a co-op that welcomes travellers as members!
