You know something, I am only at level 47 and can really appreciate building one thing at a time. It used to frustrate me all the waiting. Then you have the events and missions where you are rushing and racing. It seemed like a contradiction. Especially with all the messages we get to buy, buy, and buy more. And hurry, build more, now.

I've been building around the clock since it was suggested to me a couple weeks ago. Sometimes the events throw me off of my upgrade plans, but I always manage to pull through. I don't think I would be as likely to participate in events if I could build more than one item at a time.

If you persevere, this game teaches you patience. I switched back and forth upgrading my dung producers so they could keep up with the few orchards I have. So, one building at a time I adjust to the different events and how they effect what is currently in construction or planned for construction. Even co-op projects will keep you on your toes to strategize the best upgrade that won't interfere with projects, or won't interfere for too long.

One upgrade at a time means I can actually have a little time to notice the results of each upgrade and plan accordingly. I don't think I would be very in tune to the needs of my farm if I was coordinating multiple upgrades in progress. Each thing on the farm will effect other things on the farm. Rushing would result in untimely and unfortunate decisions.

Enjoy the fact that our human brains can figure all this out. We can plan ahead and we can even make mistakes and still progress because it is our nature to expose solutions. I'm not an expert at this game and not in the advanced levels, yet, but I'm learning there are good reasons Rome wasn't built in a day. We can move upward on onward, even when it seems we could be moving faster. Faster isn't always better.

    Strategy plays a role here.
"I can't upgrade my cowshed just yet cos I'm on a milk project with my co op. I'll upgrade a field instead" or,

"I'll upgrade an orchard instead of the pigsty cos I'm about to start an apple project and it will help me get extra apples" That sort of thing.

As the others have said, it gets very expensive in the later levels to upgrade.

And what's the rush? What are you going to do when you've upgraded all you can?

    Enjoy the journey.

I agree with cheshi. I think most people would say they wanted more building slots when they were new, its only natural to want to get your farm up & running asap. But as time goes on, you do come to appreciate just having one. You will soon also start to get some pretty expensive upgrades & expansions when you will need the longer building times in order to save up enough cash for the next one.

Now that i got my 2nd farm it would come in handy to build more than one thing, since you have more than one farm i think you should be able to build one thing per farm at least...

Very well said......Those of us that are in the not so new levels started to see the same path of patience.
