The new Tropical house

The new tropical house says that it makes your workers happy because they feel like they are on vacation, but it has the exact same -135 happiness that the regular house has. That is rather misleading. I would think that it should have at least a little better -happiness if it's a special house.
Am i wrong?

it maybe do not give you more happiness but it certainly give you more workers to stay at a time so that you can have less houses but more space for other things??

I agree that the statement about happiness is misleading, but I think its the statement that should be changed not the house. I paid a LOT of gold for blue houses to get better happiness & 2 extra workers, the tropical house is bought with shells and upgraded with farm dollars, so I would find it extremely unfair if that had better happiness too. The fact that it costs a lot of shells to buy it, gets you 1 extra worker, plus they look nice, which I think is a good difference inbetween a regular house & a gold house & it offers something else to spend shells on for anyone that likes to collect them.

At 1 extra worker and no additional happiness, they're not a good deal...But then, the same could be said for the island in general.

Depends what you are comparing it to Aphasia.

+1 worker for shells, farm cash, and time, seems bad compared to normal workers for farm cash and time, but compare it to +2 Workers and a little happiness for Gold, farm cash and time? I like the shell houses, I will eventually have only shell houses (Other than the Fancy houses I bought when I was a newb and didn't understand Gold). Because shells are just time and farm cash, and all my farm generates is farm cash, and time takes care of itself. :)

    Hi all,

So I got myself a tropical house, since it promised more workers and better happiness values.
Now having built one I have following info access; comparing lvl5 tropical house to a normal lvl 5 house.... it accommodates 31 workers instead of 30 (seriously, just one more...? I feel mildly cheated..) and the happiness for BOTH the tropical and the normal workerhouse lvl 5 is -145.

Did I misunderstand the happiness values are supposed to be better? Or is there a mistake in the value display?

in the blurb about tropical houses it says it accommodates more workers, to me that's a plural, but it only accommodates one extra worker
not much of an incentive. boy with this game you don't get a lot for your dollars

Fancy houses only accommodate 2 extra workers, and cost a lot of gold, so they didn't have much wriggle room. Yes, I think its a little misleading to saying more workers and less unhappiness for just 1 worker, and no net unhappiness change, but it is less unhappiness per worker, and while it takes time and elbow grease, it can be had for no gold. So just in that sense, I find it worth it.
