Well, back to back events still continuing...
If now we get the Island or another 30 days temporary farm, back to back to the viking farm which soon ends, I think I serius will begin thinking leaving Bigfarm and go back to play some of my old computer-installed games which have a much lower stress factor, where I don't need to play the game 24/7 to doing the task.

I like the back to back weekly events & as I finish them in a few days I try to do them all However, I don`t feel the same way about the Island events, but I do think it is a good thing if they are back to back, as long as we get 2 or 3 of the same one before it changes.
The reason being, that if you do the 1st one, get yourself a nice stash of shells or runestones, you do not have to bother with the next 2, which is what I did with the Island & now I have done the Viking one I don`t need to do another one for a while. But we do have consider people on lower levels, who may not have been ready to do the 1st one, so then they get a shot at the 2nd or 3rd one & also we benefit from having the shell/rune trader still being around so we can trade the what we collected when we did the event. Once we get used to the routine & when others are added, they could be fun, I really wouldn`t mind doing one every 3 months. ^^

To me there is several "problems" whit the events like they are running now:

    1. I'm one of this kind of people who, if I see a task, feel I must do that task. - I think it's a psykologic thing?

    2. Now where the 6'days events are running back to back, to me they not longer are a "ahhh, again a event to do", but only are boring nonstop thing.

    3. Even I have lots of time to playing the game (teoretic I could play 24/7 if it's not for I have to sleep) it's very hard to me to do the tempoary farms whitout using gold on it. - This time I did not make the Viking farm, I'm on chapter 4 in the 3'rd book. (and with a full buildup farm exept the architect upgrades and lots of playing-time I'll mean that should be possible to do a tempoary farm...or is it just me)

    4. My us farm is still under buildup, there's a lot of jobs to do, and I can not both play a tempoary farm, and buildup my us farm at the same time. I need a few weeks break between these tempary farms to buildup my us farm.

But of course you're right: It's up to people themselves (including me) about they want to play the events or not... I'm just one of that kind of people who have proved difficult to say "No, not this time", when I see a new event starting.

Trust me I know the feeling, I am the exact same way, I can resist anything except temptation lol...... I even built/upgraded things on my main farms that I did not want, just to get the tasks off of my screen 8| and it was not at all easy to ignore the 2nd & 3rd Islands when the icon is on every farm and the airport is flashing for a month, but I knew I could not afford the time or money to do them & when the Viking one came along I was glad that I had taken that time to save up cash, cos I found this one to be so much more fun with money to spend..... I can`t imagine trying to do them on more than one farm, all I can say is ... Be strong Brian!!! hehe

I don't mind the weekly themed events as I can always choose an easy level. (doing level 1 now) But after Vikings I feel like I need some rest and now it seems quite obious we will have the coop thing starting soon and then that would need a lot of play time.. If another temporary farm would start I wouldn't have the money so I would have to just make the first 2 chapters or something so it would actually not be that bad. I don't want one to start, but it wouldn't be a disaster for me.

in the future peoiple will make the same point about not minding the temporary farms being back to back the bottom line is that GGS needs to go back to every other week for themed events and every other month for temporary farms, people are not having a chance to recover from them and makes them undesirable to play them, for me, i refuse to do the themed events, temporary farms and now the horse coral. ggs is forcing us to play these to take advantage of the ship and i fear there will be even more things you can not do unless you play them

"The future" is probably the key point. If you think about it we all got used to being able to do everything without having to make choices & the game ended up with several sticking points, to name just 3 of them...
Top players being too rich & having nothing to do.
Completing all machine upgrades & having no use for certificates or for doing missions.
Coops with all research completed & a stockpile of cash & gold with nothing to spend it on.
With all the recent changes, we now have the whole temp farm/horse ranch scenario growing, new machines needing a continuous supply of certs & the coop challenge with boosters that can be bought from coop funds.

New players will get used to not being able to do everything that comes up, it will seem normal to make choices & have different strategies to each other, the rest of us probably just need to retrain ourselves to do the same, rather than killing ourselves trying to do everything all the time. We asked for more things to do, so it does seem a bit silly to now complain that we have too much to do. Afterall we all have different amounts of available playing time, so it would be impossible to have just enough things to do to please everyone.

when i finally am able to get all my machines maxed, my farm is going back to high happiness, i liked it better that way, want to get my old decos back on the farm and will not need to get the large amounts of certs i do now. As in back to back events, i am done with them and all the things i said before

I resisted the temptation! I did nót start the fairytale this time! (I'm not too good with not doing tasks when I see them either)

..where the prizes are decorations, especially if the farms won't ever be extended?

I'm guessing this will have been covered but it's getting to the point now where they just sit in my inventory as there's nowhere to put them.

May I suggest that you use "Greta the landscape architect" to dismantle those decos you have in storage. Then use the parts to upgrade the best decos you have on your farms.

I agree with chikenduck on this one! "Greta" is a great addition to the game. Now we can dismantle those lower level decos and use the parts to upgrade the better ones. A win win in my books!

I agree, Greta rules!!... I actually love winning decos I don`t want now, everytime Monty throws a picnic at me I think, YAY another one for Greta to smash up!!

One thing to bear in mind with Greta, she will dismantle decos from your dropbox or from your storage box, but the ones in your dropbox have never been built, so you didn`t get the XP for them yet. Some people don`t like missing out on XP, so prefer to build them before feeding them to Greta. Just depends if you have the time/space/building slot to do that, personally I just let her have them from dropbox.

Thankyou Scissors. I hadn't thought that XP thing through. Yet another choice in this wonderful game! :)

Another advantage to Greta is, while its more expensive, you can upgrade aesthetically pleasing decos into 'useful' decos, and thus have more to pick and choose from.

The telescopes are special items. If you hover your cursor on them, or in your inventory they will be level "S". They are not considered a deco item and cannot be demolished.

Being from Yorkshire, I have to have them extra XP's I just throw them all on my flower farm, when done, i just put back the high happy juice deco. I am trying to build up the happy juice of the deco's I like, but it costs a lot. I am a bit annoyed with the rain today, I had my tea bags hanging up to dry and it Pee'd it down, oh and my flat cap got a soaking.
