I'd like it back just so I had something to do right now... Kind of bored. :(

I have four farms and am used to being busy working on things, I had "weekly/biweekly" type events and spooky events and Piggles going on four farms, then nothing. I don't count the island as something, since I don't see any reason to spend the money on it yet again...so not bothering with it this time. I can buy land for that money instead.

Well, I still hope they start the Fairy Tale event asap. What I like least of all, is that every time they get into a decent rhythm, they up and change it again, which is very disrespectful.

I agree, some people in our co-op aren't doing the island at all this time round because they worked extremely hard on it last time and don't need to do it again and don't want the island to get in the way of upgrading and maintaining their normal farms. This means that it is quite boring at the moment because there really isn't much going on - I was really expecting the fairy tale event to start today and to be honest I am rather disappointed that it hasn't. I really hope it starts tomorrow - those that are too busy already can skip it if they wish or choose a lower level.

hahaha, short event... guess what, I spent 90% of my gold completing it... ... so I bought some more!!!!

little events are all good like collect herbs or donate apples... the problem is the time limit every time!!!

Now we know why the delay....they needed the space for the architect and the corresponding trading floor events.

Yup, the smell of all that gold-spending is in the air... :p

If only that were the case... Architect gone, and still no event. Good time for a vacation from the game I guess. Nothing going on! :S

Bigfarm is my favorite game, but with no event going i guess right now is a good time to get a long winded upgrade going and go play one of my other games while i wait for upgrades to finish.
Should be able to finish the small bee event by doing some periodic farm work when i check back on upgrades. What a bummer that they just stopped doing the events...really makes things boring without them.
    :(

Just because you choose not to do the event (Island) doesn't mean its not going on. I'm sure the next one will start next week at the usual time.

I am crossing my fingers that maybe GGS is about to release new events or maybe they are making changes to the current ones. I guess there is always the possibility GGS caved in to the minority who did not want them being offered back to back, but I highly doubt that though because there just wasn't a good reason to accommodate those complaints because the events were optional anyway and left it up to the player as to how much or how little they wished to play them.
Whatever reason the events are not showing up, i hope they return soon and back on schedule^^

I am not sure if it was latten or nafaru..someone from GGS had commented about the back to back events being for those who were not able to do the island event so they would have something to do. Clearly there are those who can't afford the island event because their farms are not established enough yet, so the island event is not an event that many players can partake in...thus the reason GGS commented about it being for those players.

I agree Ladyd, i am disappointed to that we have not had a new one yet. Gets pretty boring without them.

The back to back events occurred while there was no Island, so back to back events being for people not doing the Island makes no sense. What I recall Latten saying about it, was when an old Event started during the first Island. People were like, 'really why an event while we are doing the Island?' and the response was 'its for people not able to do the island due to level.'

All I want is the events to be like before the island started, every other week. They were doing it at least a year and a half so there should be no problem with it

Being on schedule is every other week, latten gave me the scedule for the order of them and time period of them and it is supposed to be about every other week, not everyu week, just because they have done it for the last month does not mean it is the normal rotation, merely an inconveniient rotation for a temporary period

Do you not think that maybe there just wasn`t enough room?

I had the Shell Trader & the Twins, then Monica & Steve showed up, my market/event area was full, no room for an event this week. Silly Eva lost her bees again, after Steve left so at least that was something to do for a bit, so it wasn`t too bad & I needed to see Steve, so as much as I love events I am glad there was room for him.

The announcement said Xmas events are on their way soon & we already have a new addition to the traffic over there with the Coop challenge, so its not surprising that there will be times that there won`t be room for everything.

    Just a thought

I can see by the setup on the farm there is only enough room for 4 events sucha s the shell trader and major event, all they would have to do is change the area to 5 events and they could add another thing

Which is why i took it as this was going to be the new norm for farm events because they were happening back to back even without the island going. Understandably there may be a few days where the 4 slots are full and there is no room to offer the farm event..i understand that.

IMO, just because the island is going on doesn't mean everything else should evolve around the island players..those players have the island to play and keep them busy. If they want to do both the island and the farm events then that is their choice, but for lower levels the island is not a option whereas for the higher level players doing one or both is. So having the farm events back to back, even if just during the island events, is very reasonable for ALL players regardless of player level.

The last run of the island had back to back events going at the same time... It wasn't just during the breaks between island times. They have been quite constant for a few months now!

What do we suppose the likelihood of another event starting tonight might be? Or maybe tomorrow, get it back on schedule?

My co-op is super bored. Some of us have holiday plans here in the US with Thanksgiving, but my UK server co-op is bored and really wants an event!! The bees went too fast, some were done in 4 hours with those... Events are more long term, and truly wanted after no event last week.

I think I've literally cut my playing time by 75% this past week (with all 4 of my farms). 8|

I liked it when the week long events were occuring right after the other.
It gives me something to do, and I still want to try and win each level deco.
I'm not going to open the island again until I'm at a much higher level,
but now there's a Vikings farm --tempting, but... no!
& since the island changed perhaps something new could be tried out
    for weekly events too.
But if not that's fine, just wish the alien event deco was different (my least favorite).
There really should be something to do for those who aren't trying out
    the viking island though

those events are not supposed top be weekly, they are supposed to be EVERY TWO WEEKS, being new you do not realize it, I can see that by the way things are going that they could become every 2 or 3 days then would you stilll want them?

I for one want them to go back to every two weeks, you now have too many events occuring simultaneously

To be fair I don't thinhk they were ever 'supposed' to be any set timing but they certainly were coming 2 weekly, and then only recently we had the few weeks of weekly deco events

Personally I prefer every two weeks. It's hard to organise co-op projects when the deco event is on, plus everyone in my co-op likes to recover a bit before the next onslaught

Not everyone has commented yet but so far it 100% dislike for starting the new airport event with no chance of building up the bank balance again

Samty said it all (I personally do prefer every 2 wks, too) - nothing to add, couldn't have said it better! Thanks Samty! ;)

Okay... Well-- Just because an event is up doesn't mean you have to actually do it!
    I'm not doing viking farm.
Usually one of the first two tasks require a donation. Don't donate.
Just skip a week if you need a break, or time with your co-op to do projects.
    Sometimes I find it's helpful to do both;
like apple project... some events ask to collect from orchards.
Able to do both at the same time.
I was unable to play every weeks cause I was busy, and couldn't log in everyday
--but I was happy to know another one would come right after the next, so I was ready.
And I'm ready every time now & I want something to do!

    Agree ^^
Many are not able to do the farm events just yet and it's certainly not hurting anyone who wishes to not do them by offering them. It would provide options for players with different play styles and limited level capabilities to do other events like the farm events.
