I hope they keep the back-to-back events. I'll just skip the ones that doesnt suit me, but I like the possibility of doing an event every week.

As with everything some people love them some people hate them, for me the constant events have made me less engaged with them, since there will always be another next week. So when they were fortnightly I used to do the top level, now they are weekly I just do the lowest level and do not really make much effort. I would prefer them fortnightly BUT I can chose not to do them and so I don't see why my preference should dictate others choices. I would hate this to be changed, even though I don't like it, because I have a choice. If it is changed then no one has a choice. Keep the events weekly, if you don't like it, don't do it, simple!

That's what I did last week, skipped the theme event Asia. This week I decided to give the FS-level of this UFO event a try again, as I don't need to focus on the island anymore.

It all comes down to whether you want to / can do an event that week or not, the choice is yours.^^

To me, having an event every week makes them seem less special than they used to. I don't always feel like putting in the effort. But a lot of the tasks, like collecting items from around the farm, really don't take any extra effort on my part, so I figure I might as well open up the event & do what I can easily do. I don't fret about finishing it, just gather up whatever rewards I can easily get.

Am curious how many players have stoppped playing the major events since they started constantly bombarding us with them, I did my last event for the hawaiian event, the only reason was to collect the lowest deco, other than that I have stopped, I have no need to playu them anymore and jus do the coop and possibly the island for seashells. Also, what are you doing instead of them

I find most of the events easy to complete at the top level, so I still do them because it doesn't require much more of me than normal farming. I do like getting the 78 level decos, and the other rewards are good too. The only event I probably won't do at the top level again is the Asia one, because I don't have enough pigs for that one.

As for the island, I like it, but don't like putting all my other build projects on hold for several weeks, and I would be happier if the island didn't come back as often. For that reason, I probably will skip the island this time so I can continue upgrading my other farms.

I am in a similar position as Pingo. Completing the events on hardest doesn't take much extra effort on my part. I do have to swap my Temp Apple Orchard out for a Temp Pig Sty for Asia, though. And I will play the Island because, well, the only thing I use my build box for anymore (Aside from dropping the Event decos) is converting reg houses to shell houses (and the occasional visit from Steve). I'm willing to put that on hold for 3+ decos that are worth placing.

I love weekly events, they only take me 3 or 4 days with no real effort to do top level & I agree with Pingo its nice to get a 78 deco each week. I am not that bothered about the Island & I skipped it altogether last time, I prefer playing on my main farms.

Just playing your farm and get free extra stuff, what is wrong with that? Keep playing the events and still enjoying them.

I will not rehash the difference of opinions about constant events... but to answer the original question, I am only level 66 and it is not easy or simple for me to complete them by just ordinary farming. I haven't even tried the hardest level yet, and probably won't for a good while.

Since the event frequency has increased to all-events-all-the-time, I have skipped three of them - UFO, fairy tale & this round of nature. I only did the Hawaii event because I'd never done it before and really had to press to finish. I simply don't have hours and hours to play every day and I like my farm the way I've built it, I don't want to have to build & demolish just for certain events.

It also seems like lately there have been several things running at once, which may not actually place an additional burden on the farm but sometimes it *feels* like it to me. Trying to collect candy & keep track of an event & remember I have a horse & fill the ship and and and it just gets to be a bit much sometimes, IMO.

So you know, there is always a flip side to every situation.

I understand about why people are playing them but I have a problem with company. Big Farm states they listen to what the players say and want input. So why are the events still weekly, if they will not listen to players, why should we trust them to say they will listen to players in the future. It is not a matter of people being able to complete them, it is a matter of trust. Personally I have stopped doing them.

No offence, but I don`t see the logic there - You have a thread where 5 people like them and 2 people don`t, so how can you say GGS is not listening to what the players want?..... Or is it just that they are not listening to what YOU want? :S

You don't have to play the events if you don't want to. They aren't mandatory. I sometimes will skip one, but normally I still play it just to collect all the free stuff you get for completing the tasks.

In both my skn coop and my us coop, there is several players including myself who feels it's to much there only is a few hours between the theme events (back to back events), what we talking about in our chatrooms.
several of us would like the would be a few dayes between the theme events.

But in both my coops I'm nearly the only player who read and write in forum, and I'm sure there is a lot of players out there in other coops who not read and write in forum.

I can agree with both sides ...... and we do have the choice.

I do not like to play the events back-to-back, so I don't. But I do like the events and do like their rewards, so my solution is: I play them once every fortnight, like before. I play 1 week and skip the next week... and skip even more if that suits me and my agenda best.

Indeed there is going on very much on and around our farms nowadays (like starsie says), and I refuse to play more hours than I do already (do have quite a busy life next to my computer). So I farm my 3 farms like normally (keep prioritizing them always) and the rest of the surrounding buildings I just play in slow mode. I played the island 2 times and it was fun, but I think I will skip it next time, maybe only grow oranges or so. Still have enough shells, horseshoes, tropical seeds, so no worries there.

Those are the choices I've made to suit all changes and additions the game has undergone lately, to my playing style and taste (for me it has to remain a game; no chore, no job - just a game!). This works fine for me and still liking the game! ^^

There was also another thread which had a lot of posts about the frequency of major events, where more players chimed in. However as it was pointed out, only a tiny fraction of players are likely to be active posters on the forums, so you can't really use that as a measure of popularity (unless of course you get pages and pages of yays or nays, like we saw recently with the no-buy-button "test" :p)... what you can do, though, is take it as a talking point (if you are a developer, say) and use that to inform future game options.

So you want a week in between events?...then play them every other week. I don't get what the problem is because you have the option to do that..you don't need GGS to change anything for you to play that way. Seriously, i don't get it.

Is there a reason you are directing your reply to me and not the OP? Because nowhere in what you quoted did I say anything like that.

But hey, I'll give you a reply for free anyway. GGS already changed things - they changed the timeline for major events. Some people like it, some people don't, and I bet a lot of people don't give a care one way or another.

    So there you go.

I (and many in my coop) like to have weekly events. We usually finish them on Saturday-Sunday.

When the events came every other week, I used to get very bored during the break week. So I vote for weekly events.

every week there has been a challenge which started at tuesday 11AM but today i've already been waiting for 1h. Is there still a challenge to come or won't there be one cause of the reactivation of the island this week?

Hoping it still shows up!! For once I was actually ready for it to start, here and on time, ready to try a harder level again... Nothing... Maybe it is just delayed today. Not doing the island this time, so I want to work on something!! It is boring right now! No spooky event or Piggles to work on either... Went from lots of stuff to keep me busy, to nothing...:(

jep i'm still waiting for an event too. And i like the events, i don't mind them being weekly. I'm still growing my farm so the extra stuff is nice to have. I try to complete them but if i don't make it then so be it. But i really love them to be weekly so every week you have the chance of getting a free high lvl deco

There use to be a time when the game did give breaks for upgrades like then we'd capture Bees and the Orphanage. The Island has replaced the Orphanage (which was designed to drain cash yet get a nice prize). The Island is the same concept: drain cash and NOW GOLD for more prizes along with adding a "pseudo farm" the Horse Ranch.

By introducing the Horse Ranch GGS took away a week long break for things like upgrades and other team stuff in order to create more anxiety and give players more reason to buy and spend gold.

It's a game of choices guys and GGS is very adept at making us make choices that they know a majority of the choices we make will be in GGS' financial favor. The fault is not with GGS, most of the time it is with us and the choices we make because of how much we individually allow GGS to manipulate us.
