Lonely Solo Missions

There are times where the missions do come back to back, very true. I experience that far more often then I would like.

When they changed to the new system of mission, it was the least played mission by all participants, supposedly. If those you are playing with have all had a dung mission recently, but no corn or flowers, then it is likely you'd be with a corn or flower mission, even if you have played them recently.

Solos missions... You've titled the post that, but why? Nothing in the post mentions a solo mission.

Solo missions I suppose are random when you get them from what I've experienced. I get all four types if by myself for all four in a row. No repeats. So I suppose the system seems to be working in that respect.

I've tried everything except leave a solo race with zero points. I'm on my 2nd solo mission race that I have enter zero. I finally figured out that GGS wants to punish those that do well by robbing us of the reputation point we should get, Also we get robbed the reputation points when the other players sit there with zero. So now that I have this figured out, It's just a cut throat game and I will leave those that have left me a big fat zero, I'll return the favor. zero's coming up LOL

I don't know what you've changed but it is not good....5 hours and still no dung mission.....and if I'm growing wheat, back to back corn and wild flowers can really waste alot of time and money.

Maybe you could set it up to rotate between the animals and the crops...there, that would solve everything for everybody...!!! Don't you think...?

I hope you consider this option.!

8maidsamilking and milking and milking and milking

Titling the thread properly is extremely important, it does not need to be complete but accurate. I go thru new threads and try to answer new posts and am wasting my time when i go to something not correctly labeled, this is not a criticism and not to be taken personnally, merely a suggestion

Come on GG.....3 corn missions in a row....how about rotating a field harvest THEN an animal/eggs or milk collection......that would take care of everyone doing missions.

How hard is that to figure out ?????

When I sign on and have to wait a half a day for 1 mission to come up, you have wasted my time and money.....so is missions costing me more in the long run to do,,,,just thinking out loud... ????

Instead of the up to 5 minutes waiting time it should search until it finds u an opponent.....solo missions are a waste of time

Ahhh! No!! ;( It already takes forever to wait the 5 minutes!! Should make it 3 minutes! No longer waiting time. I already sign off the game sometimes by the time 5 minutes is up. Better things to do than wait around for a (hopefully) decent mission to pop up.

I have solo missions all the time on my Aussie server game, if they searched until they found an opponent for me, I'd be waiting for an hour. Literally. My game hours are very different from theirs; most players are sleeping when I am playing the game since I'm from a different time zone.

I would however say they could put up the option (if it is solo) to have you quit search before revealing the mission type. Like a little pop up sign that says "this mission has no other players" or something, and then asks if you would like to continue with the mission or quit mission search... Then people who don't care and just want a few certs can still play a mission. And, those that want to compete with others, can quit search and try to search again if they want to do so.

If it is before the player sees the type of mission, then no one can say they are just quitting because they wanted a mission they were ready for. Just that they didn't want to play a solo mission.

I'm agree FarmerJojoBell, longer search time is a bad idea. like you I thnik I then sometime would comes to wait in hours before I get a mission whit several players.
Like you, I think it would be nice if we could quit from solo missions.
    - And yes, I know we can do that by just ignoring the mission is running, but by that way it's not possible to start a new mission in the hope to get another mission type with other players.

Ok I putting this thread back in, I did it before and it has vanished,,, Are you getting a lot of solo mission races? Here are tips to get rid of them. 1. Don't put anything in the solo mission leave it with zero. 2. Let other people win the mission races, put in just enough for rep points. 3. Wait till the tab pops up that say mission ready. 4. lose at least 3 solo missions. 5. complain to support.6. Wait like 10 to 15 minutes before starting a new mission race. 7. Log out then back in. Good luck,, Happy Farming. I hope these don't interfere with our co-op Challenge

You are reducing the amount of missions I could do by giving me missions where I am by myself.
In addition, if you like to control the time I play this game by reducing the amount of missions you provide where I can play with others since this is a multiplayer game from all over the world and you reduced me to a one player (myself) game then is time to find me another game.
It is up to Good Games.

Hope they stop the coffee breaks and start thinking about fixing the missions and bringing something else to the game. X(?(

I WILL NOT DO MISSIONS BY MYSELF!!!!, LET ME REPEAT IT PLEASE
I WILL NOT DO MISSIONS BY MYSELF!!!

    Same problem here. :(
I will better like to lose against several active players than playing solo missions.

I have a question, because I do hate the soolo missions, is there a reason to not do at least the minimal such as harvesting chicken coops for the eggs and dung missions, if you are doing the game you can at least get a few certs while you are waiting for the one you want, I do harvest the chicken coops at least 1 or 2 times during play and get a few certs, it is a guaranteed win for you, otherwise you get nothing, zilch, nadda, zero.

yes there is a reason, this is a multiplayer game. why do you want me to play by myself? is there a reason for your question? I do not want few certs, I want the amount of certs we get when we play with several players.
Maybe you are happy with doing 50 missions and get 100 certs but I want to do missions with more players and get the max amount like we used to. What can I tell you, everybody is different and have different goals. Besides, this is a multiplayer game. If I wanted to play by myself I would play solitaire. heheheh:)

A suggestion for GGS/Latten. If the game can't find anyone else for a mission could it not produce a message allowing the player a choice of whether to play solo or have the game search again for another 5 minutes?

That's a good idea! I'll make sure to check with the devs if this is actually an option.

Another thing to consider is to provide a setting for players to opt out from the missions they never wanted to do. This can reduce the number of player whom participate in a mission but not active during mission.

A mission is all about healthy competition. A solo mission kills that desire. I have no drive to beat myself in a solo mission. I am also aware that I will receive less certificates in a solo mission. I would rather wait extra time for a mission with other players than waste time in a mission by myself.......

How about some computer generated (AI) competition if we can't be matched with other players? That will give us a chance to get a better number of certificates.

Also, as I've mentioned in another thread, how about computer-generated (AI) competition if we can't be matched up with other players?

LOL that is so spooky, I was thinking just the other day of suggesting that they add a "Mission Bot" .... Get outta my head Rusty!! 136_zpsfvzeyagg.gif

My idea was that every mission would start with a bot as one player, the bot would have a default score, depending on the mission level of the players, as soon as 2 players post a score the bot disappears.

This would not only solve the problem of solo missions, but also of missions where you finally get an opponent & they stay on 0 score. The other useful thing, would be that you could tell from the default score of the bot what level you are playing at, so if you wanted to drop down to an easier level, you could post some low scores & you would see from the bot score when you had switched to a new level of players.

I think the result would be that if we knew we would never get a solo mission, more players would go back to playing missions, they would post a score, knock out the bot & end up playing each other just as it should be. ^^

Wow, Scissors--That is simply ingenious!! I hope GGS takes note of your idea. I too have been plaqued with solo missions as of late, and as I rarely win a mission, I do not consider it punishment. Very rarely do I contribute '0', unless I am growing something for a project (oh, let's say cabbage or wheat for "cabbagehead) and am simply trying for a dung or egg mission. In these instances, I always mail my opponent(s) to make them aware I am not contributing anything.
Hopefully the Mission Challenge will arrive soon, and we will all have full missions again!

I would say I get solo missions every 1 in 10 that I do. I agree it is unfair about the points and it is a total bore playing against yourself. I agree with the person who says that thAt 5 minutne GGS search thing? well let it keep searching until it finds someone to play against. I would rather wait for opponents than do solo missions. I can always just keep on puttering with my farm while I wait for it to find me people to play against. I don't mind waiting. That is certainly less boring than 30 minutes of playing for virtually no rewards.

Yes I have played from the first hour of this co- op event. At this point I have played 70+ missions with one single opponent in one mission . Emailed support and got a reply which is generic. This was sent to others with the same issue and GGS did nothing. Unable to post email reply received as the gods of GGS will not allow it. but suffice to say others have the same reply word for word. Even on US server what a joke I am over this game and the disrespect delivered from so called support.

    Love it Fantastic IDEA !!!!!!!

Are you getting a lot of solo missions? Here are tips to get rid of them. 1. Don't put anything in the solo, keep it at zero. 2.Lose at least 3 solo in a row. 3. Let the other people win. 4. Logout and back in between mission races. 5. Wait at least 5 minutes after the mission race. 6. Wait for the mission available tab to pop up. 7. drop your ranking by losing several races. Good Luck!! Happy Farming!! P.S. A little birdie told me the reason you get solo missions is because you get to good at doing missions and you run out of players to beat. And the solo Mission counts as a loss even though it says you got 1st place at the end of the mission.

Why isn't there a cancel mission search button anywhere? Maybe you pushed it by mistake or changed your mind. Also, particularly if it a solo mission, we could have the option to search again, go solo, or cancel.

Thanks for that post Maryann. Since yesterday I only get solo missions, so it took me forever to get enough certificates to upgrade stuff After this last mission is over, I log off and log on again and wait for GGS to invite me to take a mission (although I think it is crazy that this is apperently how it works)...
