as a relatively new player less than level 40 I stand no chance of completing any of the chapters for the temporary island, but it would have been nice for low level players like me to have been able to have grown something in our fields for free like we can with wildflowers on the main farm, maybe cassava, that we could get a few shells for (or island dollars so we could grow something we could sell for shells) that we could exchange for seeds for the greenhouse on the main farm because I now, can never fill the ship and it was hard enough before. Just a thought.

Popping the bubbles from the workers on the island will get you 25 shells!! When it gives you shells, it is 25. When it gives you other things like grapes, peanuts, and oranges, you can sell those for shells. And farm dollars, those will even be converted into shells at the end of the 30 day event!! Lots of shells to be earned there, just need the bubbles to do it!
