Once you complete Chapter 1 is it worth doing Chapter 2 or just growing oranges and mangoes and making fizzes and slushes? I mean I would have to expand my farm or demolish some coops to add a lemur pen etc. Is it really worth it or can get just as many shells from using what I already have and just making lots of drinks?

Rever, I'd look at the first message and look at the requirements and rewards, and try to judge for yourself.

For me, I'm going straight one until day 30. lol

@SMRever - I'm currently on Chapter2 of the book, I planned ahead for the coming Tasks - actually the only tasks Im doing now are the once for the BOOK.
I can NOT afford to fully expand my farm and build up more buildings, but I can keep completing book tasks and maybe I will finish second chapter, that's my goal.
Is it worth it ? Considering I already have some buildings done, expanded a bit - yeah I would like to complete as many seashells paying tasks as I can :)

Look at first page of this thread you got tasks lists ;) Good Luck !!!

Need an awful lot of fertiliser to run coconut and banana orchards, don't you. The only producers of dung are lemur and peacock, both of which are long or very long cycle, which makes it hard to see a way to keep those orchards running.

Is anyone going to start demolishing fields and coops etc a few days before island is done to get some shells?

It's a sneaky way for GG to make more money on Gold purchases for Premium Feed, Premium Fertilizer and Premium Humus; or for Gold use to skip production times. It gives us a choice of converting Farmcash and waiting a LONG time for results, or spending Real Cash and getting instant results, just like on every other farm and event.

Also, the side quests can actually help in doing the main tasks, e.g. 5 lvl2 fields, lvl3 Silo... these things make the main tasks faster or let you know ahead of time a facility that will be needed in an upcoming main task so you can plan ahead and maybe build it when the construction slot is idle instead of not having it when it's needed. But they do eat up a lot of island cash and space.

BTW- Thanks to everyone giving the info for the steps, it is coming in handy for me and my co-op. I hope Prince Manish is still working with this thread, even though some of the discussion has evolved away from simply building up the charts. Manish has always done a good job on these threads, I use many of his regularly. :D

    Chapter 2 - Task 2 side quests:
-Own 5 Island Fields level 3 (reward: 9,000 Seashells)
-Have 2 Coconut Orchards level 2 (reward: 10,000 Seashells)

[As I stated above, you can see how the coconut orchard side quest relates to the upcoming task 3 to collect coconuts, and field upgrades to collect task 3 grapes faster and with less expense.]

is it posted somewhere how many shells we get for each activity on the farm ie harvesting each crop, orchard, collecting dung from animals, making fertilizer and humus and making the drinks in the island bar? I ask because I am getting to last task on chapter one collect 90,000 shells which seems to be an awful lot and I have no idea what to focus on doing since it doesn't really tell you when you do things how many shells you received at least not that I saw - it must go by awful quickly. Thanks if someone can help. If it is posted elsewhere could someone send a link to me.

That task comes with selling 10,000 peacocks. From selling those you already get 70,000 shells. Then sell off some orange fizz and the task is done. Easy as that :)

Chapter 2 - Task 4- start production of 3 fruity flip...

Just for clarification, is that start production of Fruity Flip 3 times? Or, only need to start it once? Which is like 95 Fruity Flip drinks in one production of them...

That means you start production of Fruity Flip three separate times.

Thank you for posting this link. And thank you to the spreadsheet makers. Knowing well ahead that there is a need to Collect 5 million shells in the last task of Chapter Three makes it quite clear that no products ought to be sold between tasks one and five, and only exactly the correct amount and no more be sold in task one of Chapter Three.

I've seen other people with the bug where the farm house gets stuck and says building busy, when it's really not. What are you doing to make it work again?

yep, I'm on 1 step of chapter 3 without gold.
I've already bought all plots of island farm, and planned buildings for the tasks. It's expensive, but 3 chapters is a high level players goal, I was ready for it )

Not a bug, or I'd have posted it there, but I'd like the makers to rethink the current way the island bank currency exchange AMOUNT stays on the same it was last time. Unlike the hastily spent gold, this means I exchanged too little because last time I only had wanted 1000 and the shifty lever remained at that position for the next exchanges.

i'm not at chapter 3 yet, i'm on the last step of chapter 2, but i've spent between $80mil and $90 mil - no gold. i have all plots, but i'm going to run out of people and out of space to build more houses. to keep going, i might have to demolish some of the existing buildings. i already demolished one of my fields. it seems they set it up in a way that to have all the buildings at maximum level in the quantities they say, you HAVE to use gold to build houses - you can't get enough people otherwise.

My apologies in advance, if this is the wrong thread to ask this question - since the greenhouse is connected with the tropical island, does the level of the greenhouse reset, when the island rests???

Not an official response, but since the Greenhouse is on the outskirts of the regular farms ("the Environment"), and the seeds will still be sold and planted after the Island goes away (refer to the time stamps on the Shell Trader and Airport), it should remain a more permanent fixture, so upgrades would be expected to remain in tact.

every step of chapters contains two parts, in this one only one
    sounds strange

Yes, it's a single task, only coconuts in chapter 3 - step 2
