Criticism and suggestion about Ship

I think its kinda silly and annoying that I am asked to give 1265 apples away for shipment when I only have enough space in my barn and house for 1250. I presume the amount will get even grater as I level up. The most space I can have with a fully up graded house and red barn is 1300.
As I level up I probly wont be able to complete any shipments because I dont have enough storage, 2 barns in my opinion is a waste of space.

I suggest that it should be like a donations system where you can give different amounts of produce at different times, eg give in 1000 apples one time then 265 another time. You wont get the reward until the whole amount is donated.

Yeah it is a pain in the behind sometimes but that is the way they made the boat, and in my honest opinion I think it is a good way to have it. After all they designed the game so that you should have 2 barns.
The game gives you amounts to ship buy how much stuff you should be able to hold. If you are upset that you can't send how much stuff they ask for, then I suggest you build another barn.
But one of my favorites parts about the ship is every time it asks for a rather fair amount of stuff, because the more stuff I have to give away, the more money I will receive in return.
I personally would be sad to give away different amount of stuff at different times as that means less money when I am asked for less stuff. (Did that make any sense?)

But anyway, I will also remind you, that this is only the first version of the Ship, so in the future they could change it up so that the amounts you have to donate could be less. But until then we just have to wait and see. ; )

Yes, SSG, that does make a lot of sense and I totally agree with you. The ship only asks the amounts which are in line with expectations of what your farm level and your production-units level should be able to produce at this very moment. As SSG already said, 2 barns are included in the game, so you are expected to have 2 barns - and if you have only 1, that is of course your choice.

Ok, thank you Space and Jiesta for your replies, so basicly you are saying that it is part of the game to have 2 barns and that the amounts are set for my level. I suppose that is understandable but maby im bad to think that GGS are just doing that so it will encourage players to bye gold and get a blue barn, then that will save space and give plenty of storage. I might build another barn now maby, just wondering has anyone ever got a shipment before which required more than 1300 ??

I love the ship as it is a good source of income and xp, my only problem is as soon as I hit lvl 51 it asked for olives, I understand it is all relevant to your lvl but maybe waiting to you lvl up maybe 1 or 2 lvls would be nice so you at least had time to build the relevant building or orchard.

Ok thanks for letting me know that Space and Jiesta, i now see that I will probly have to build another barn. Im not going to build a longterm one though I think. Instead im just going to build a tempory one when I have to give to the shipment then buy or collect the few apples and then demolish the barn. All done under 10 minutes.

And Jello I know what you mean that problem is annoying, maby GGS will fix that problem soon, hopefully

I like the ship its good for money, xp and now horseshoes, but I agree that having 2 barns is a waste of space. I suggest making it so that we can add amounts to the total shipment, like we can do when donating goods for events. This way we don't need to have a storage of 2000.

Having 2 red barns was in the game already waaaaay before the blue barns were introduced, so I doubt it has something to do with that.

I am lvl 116 and never got any amount above 1800, which is my storage capacity.

You can do 1 barn with enough space and that is, the blue barn, bar that, you need 2 red barns

I really believe also the ship is a good idea. However, what about donating different products each time?why we have to give the same every time...for instance..it asks us to give dandelion....almost for two days i do not manage to feed my goats because all the dandelion is donated...we could donate ducks for instance...goats...chicken...pigs....honey...why donate the raw materials used to make feed or feed our animals..

i have never experience the same thing being donated everytime, i varies and that is why i never published a listing on my coop blog, i have give a list of different things it may ask for but not a definite listing for every ship loadout

I just make a big stash of crops before I start turning them into feed. So even if I have to donate dandelions, I still have plenty to make feed.

as do i i try to keep at least 1200 pigs and eggs each and around 300 bakery items each, as to the donkeys i do not worry about them too much i buy them if i have to due to experience points awarded even the same thing with dandelions

For me he targets the things I don`t have - So I always make sure I have expensive items & he just nails me for dandelions & donkeys, which aren`t so bad to buy.
His other favourite trick is to ask for things instantly, as soon as you unlock them, before you even had time to build & produce the item in question.

Considering he claims to be doing you a huge favour, that guy is pretty mean hehe :whistling:

I am having problems with the shipping. I have 550/550 and I can not store anymore. The ship says I do not have enough product yet most times it lets me ship and other times it don't.

Tenicoli, your level is high enough to upgrade your barn. Furthermore, the game is designed around having 2 barns on your farm, so you can build a second one and also upgrade it to level 3.

Thanks It will take me a while to do that because my Island farm is costing me a bundle to keep going
