How to make Rep worth something

At least that's the premise for my idea, and it was sparked by what looks like a farmer's market in the 10 o'clock position relative to the farm. So for all I know this is what they intend.

Could do it as a farmers market: Similar to the boat, in that there is a limited 'demand' for products. Or could just be an 'event' that shows up like the telescope charity...

But the idea is, customers will pay more for higher reputation. Not a lot more, just pennies, but they add up. Initially I thought, what if the top 10 in rep for a week, get a week's long bonus of +5% when selling their main farm produce, top 100, get +3%, top 1000 get +1%... That might be too high... Might just change it to +5$ etc.

My second thought was thinking about the outcry of "but the top ten will always be gold spender" which would kind of be the point, for GGS at least. So I thought about it differently.

Each level would have a number of rep points to achieve to activate each level of bonus. Similar to telescope charity in that if you get to a certain point, there is a flat bonus. And you'd have different levels of rep points to strive for.

Having a value for Reputation beyond just bragging rights (not much to brag about in my opinion) would improve things. Anyway, thanks for reading.

Hmmm... Sounds interesting!

I could see the potential in something like that. I'd be happy for any reason to exist for the reps points honestly. Bragging aren't really it for all but the top 10 players in the missions anyway. All they do is trade spots back and forth. Nobody even bothers bragging, "ooh, check me out, I'm 6,789th place this week!!" Only the big players get the top spots so it is pretty worthless to have rep points.

I could see them doing something to include rep ponts in one of new building additions they are unveiling throughout the year. Hope so anyway!
