Difficulty Level - Special Events
What do you have to do prior to being able to choose which difficulty level you play the special events at?
Comments
Before you get the "choose difficult" in a event, you first may have that deco witch gives 74 happiness belongs to that event, registrated in your deco tower.
Notify this: A 74 points deco only unlock the "choose difficult" to that event it belongs to, not the other events.
- The "choose difficult" have to be unlocked in each event separately.
How hard is the hard levels? : You can find some information about that on this site:
http://big-farm-addiction.wikia.com/wiki/Events
Teorecal yes, if just you have the last one (74 points), that's enough.
On my skn farm I missing severals of the smaller event reward-decos, but I have a 74-point deco to all events, and in all events I can chooce witch difficult I want to play in the event.
The system was basically put in the game so the high levels that only ever got the 74 happiness deco (like me, because I was already a high level when the first event started running) can also get the lower happiness decos for their deco collection. I am now running the events on difficulty 2 and next round I will be running difficulty 1 just to get those decos for my deco collection in the tower
So technically it is not for the people that struggle with the level they are given, otherwise they would be able to choose before they would get the 74 happiness deco and it would make the event too easy. (sorry guys, I know some of you struggle forever to get that deco)
So people with that problem would find it helpful if they got the third difficulty done at least once.
As we have done one round of events after the update that enabeled us to choose difficult level, unlocking the event deco in deco tower in not needed any more.
If I recall right, now it is just enough to win event decoration with 74 happines to be able to choose the difficulty next time.
This will stay the same, but once you finish an event on 'high' difficulty setting after the update hits, you will be able to either repeat it in one of the lower difficulties or - if you dare - in the new 'Farm Specialist' difficulty! But be warned, you will really need to be crafty to get one of the new, even cooler versions of the events' decorations with this one.
According to it, there is no need for placing the deco on your farm, if you finished the event AFTER update (Feb. 17).
Hope Latten or Nafaru can clear this before we make even more confusion.
And if you did not finish event after the update, but have deco in your inventory from earlier, placing it on the farm and unlocking
in a deco tower would not help, because only decos unlocked in a deco tower BEFORE UPDATE (Feb. 17) count.
Part of the official notice: (Please note: If you already completed the current hardest setting of an event, please be sure the respective decoration has been placed on your farm at least once - to unlock it in the Deco tower - else you will have to complete it just once more after the update to unlock the Farm Specialist setting)
(emphasis mine)
Also, please post where you find things so we know what official announcement you're referencing. Thanks.
This is meant for the first round of events, and the deco had to be placed before 17. February. After first round, there is no need for it (I put that part in bold). At least that is how I understand official notice that you posted.

Sorry, still learning.
P.S.: Latten, Nafaru, please (why there isn't a begging smiley on the list?)
I think what the notice is saying is, that if you don't place it on your farm and unlock it in the deco tower, you will have to play it at that level once again before you can unlock the ability to choose which difficulty you play at.
(I don't quite see specifically where you see that you don't have to place it though?
Well, at least I am glad I asked.
If, on the other hand, you didn't place any third-setting decos for a particular event before the update and haven't finished that setting since the update, you have to do it again. The excerpt doesn't say anything about whether you have to place the deco or not, but it's likely that it isn't since it doesn't unlock if you place a deco you won before the update. I guess moving the trigger makes some people have to do it all over again.
-It's up to yourself about you want to place the level 3 deco on the main farm, the gourmet, or the flower farm.
Before this update was brought in, you had to have placed/unlocked the prize decoration on your farm so that the system knew that you had completed that level which would then mean that you could select the level you wished to play for that Event the next time it came around.
The system is designed to know now if you've completed the 3rd level and for which Events you've done it for. Those are the ones that mean you can select your level. If you haven't completed the 3rd level for one or more Events, then you can't select your level yet until you do for those specific Events.
So basically, do what you like with the decorations - use them or abuse them because you don't need to worry about them unlocking the Event for you next time around.
