Event impossible and ARE YOU KIDDING ME???

Asian event. TWO of my three farms I picked the very hardest level. Ok, it's down to the last three hours and the math suggests there is no way. I have less than 1000 cranes to find yet.
So I start looking at the pay off amount. 6,500? ?( ARE YOU FLIPPING KIDDING ME?
The very MOST expensive gold only decor one can buy is less than that. And without WASTING an entire week playing like a fool.

Hard is one thing but impossible???? People do need to sleep, eat, have some kind of life in between this game.

So... a HUGE waste of time here. Not a happy player at this point. I'd expect to spend a few hundred gold to finish but not 6000 + for what? Some dumb doo dad decor I don't really need?

And this is why my three coops have been loosing players. WHy people have been showing up less and less out of disgust. Yup. I get it now.

Bah.

First I'll say: Nobody have forced you to choose the hardest level, that have been your own choice. Now don't blame anobody else because you get what you want.

Second: It's not impossible to do the hardest level without using gold on it, I have do the hardest level in all events since they add in that new thing. (yesterday I finished the hardest level in this Asian event).

Third: Yes, it is necesarry the play many hours each day when the event run, if you want to do the hardest level, so I will not recommend the hardest level to players who because of real life not can play many hours each day as long the event run.

sorry your not going to finish the event, but I do believe that was the theory behind the whole making us able to choose what level we want to try and finish. It allows some who may not have as much time during certain periods to simply choose and easier level that way it is possible to still finish. curious as to what level your farms are as well if I had to guess ild say 50-70 level

Hi Artmaker, Try using Larino's spoilers. They help alot. I find the Asian Event to be the most difficult. So if your having a hard time with it, when it comes around again pick a lower level perhaps. Take care.

Have you checked the rewards for the different stages you have completed? There is not a big difference between the final event dec, 74 and 78, but the stage rewards are up to 3 times bigger. So don't think of it as a WASTE, because you didn't win "Some dumb doo dad decor I don't really need?" - look at what you did win at the various stages. Very worthwhile I would say

Stage 1 - 3 rice seeds, 70 premium chicken feed
    Stage 2 - 150 XP, 6 rice seeds
    Stage 3 - $270,000, 80 fertilizer, 50 premium pig feed
    Stage 4 - 270 XP
    Stage 5 - $270,000, 3 rice seeds
Stage 6 - 540 XP. This plus "Some dumb doo dad decor I don't really need?" is the only part you didn't win. Your 'wasted time', did win the rest

Ok, first don't slap me for complaining here. My whole point is even after TRYING to play every day all day, if I have to shell out a little gold, it should be a little. I did put in a ton of time so far and still the cost of the thing even with all the phases I did complete is MORE than any gold decor you can buy in the game. It's not right.

As for rewards along the way, honest, fertilizer, rice (only worth using in events that call for it and usually give you what you need anyway.) XP points. I don't need ANY of it.

Someone took the time to PM me and point out that it's far less gold to push the mill and silo. Been doing that.
One farm might just make it. The other I think I"ll let it go.

And frankly after this event, I'm ready to just let this game go for awhile.
Is that what the designers want? Frustrate people to the point they don't want to play at all?
Seems to be working. Judging from how many have fled my coops already.

By the way. I FINLLY saved up enough certs and tools to upgrade the first tractor. Had happiness of 79.
It only bumped it to 80. BIG DEAL!

I got the stupid things. (Logged in with my other farm right now.)
Had to blow WAY more gold than I wanted to. Was saving it to upgrade the doghouse. Poor doggies will just have to make due a while longer.

Had storms blow by and we actually lost power just long enough to mess with internet. I was afraid it would stay out and that would be that. So when it came right back on I bit the bullet and just pushed everything.

I still think the cost of paying off aught to be close to the cost of the item minus what time was already invested. But what ever.
I need to walk away from this for awhile now.

Oh... one last little gripe. WHY do they put the architect on while an event is running?????
NO way I'd have tied up the mill, or a field, or a cow shed when you need it that bad. WTH?
Got a few things upgraded at least. Not what I would have liked.

    oh well.

I finished the hardest level on my level 81 farm with 1 day to spare. I simply did not grow everything. When I had to "provide", I bought it and provided it. I also knew in advance I would need feed and filled my barn. Saved me a ton of work. I also learned last time that if you are going to go all out at the last minute, do not hit the gold button in the event. Use the gold on the field, mill, orchard, composter or whatever is needed instead. It will cost you soooooo much less! Also, you can take a peek at the requirements before the event starts and have things ready to go. Manish has an excellent chart on drop rates for each level of each and every event. So very helpful if you need to go all out at the last minute. Try the "tips and tricks" thread for excellent advice from advanced players. There is so much good information on the forum, it is crazy!!! The highest level of the events are challenging, but they are achievable.

When I signed up for the farm specialist setting for the Asian event, my cooperative members said "Oh that one is the hardest one to finish on that setting. Good luck!" and so I was worried but I didn't have to spend gold like crazy to finish it. By knowing what the tasks are in advance, I could build additional buildings and sacrifice happiness for a few days at the most to get them done.

To be totally honest, I had to use gold to speed up building times for my cherry orchards. I started production on my cherries and then not 2 minutes later the event had started. I used a type of strategy (mass production farm) to get past this task by building 2 extra orchards so that 12 hours later I was able to go to task 2 rather than waiting 24 hours.

In doing this I was able to be online regularly but not all the time, and I got the tasks and the event done with 3 days to spare. I didn't spend gold after that first investment. So what else did I do? I believe there is a task where you have to produce a LOT of pig feed. Well after harvesting a ton of cabbage it has to be sold off with that silly cherry blossoms task in between. So if you have money saved up, just buy the cabbage and make the feed, rather than begrudgingly growing more cabbage.

You can get the farm specialist events done, but it takes a different approach than your normal style of playing. And it is temporary, not a permanent change to your farms. So if you have to operate at an elevated running cost just for a day, it isn't going to hurt you much.

Good luck, don't feel like you can't do it. Just think outside the box :)
