Its good to see i'm not the only one having this problem, I thought I may have just become impatient and the collectible drop rate being lower was only in my head. While GGS may think dropping collectible rates is clever I think in the end it will ruin many cooperatives. Using gold to buy collectibles for projects simply isn't worth it in the long run and if groups are stuck waiting months to have enough to even start projects I see players becoming bored and simply leaving the group and/or the game. Already bored with the lack of project variety and lack of collectibles.

Of course I would never hand out top-secret secrets in here, but there may or may not be lots of new missions for the second farm coming your way soon-ish :)

This answer does not say anything about the problem we are having with the amount of collectables we are getting no its not bad luck for a week or month there is something wrong with the amount that we are getting we are unable to do projects because of this and people are getting bored. You would make a great politician 8|

There is research cooperatives can do to lower the collection items if you hadn't already noticed.
If you go to the research page and the drop down menu cooperative project on the right side there is one called Optimise Processes.
The first will lower them by 5% and the most you can lower them by is 30%.

I am aware of this seems i have been playing for a year now the collectibles that we are getting now from working our farms are getting less and less even though we work our farms all day every day

Oh, I thought I already answered the collectibles question earlier: We did ask the team about it, and we were assured the drop rate didn't change at all, and we're not going to change it in the future. We will have an eye on it though, just in case there's a bug hiding somewhere.

Latten, what we need is a ‘Donate’ button like the one we have in the Co-Op/Overview for ‘Donate Dollars’, some Tasks also have it too. This would be easy enough to incorporate with the Collectables as this system already exists. Having this would make it much easier and quicker for Co-Op’s to start Projects.

Sorry, but using your own wording ... if you haven't already noticed, Lisa199072, Optimize Processes requires a LOT of gold that coops might not have. Level 3 requires 40,000 in gold and for people that just can't spend real money for this game, a cooperative that can't do cooperative projects can get really boring. Recruitments is the only way my cooperative will offer up gold and it needs a lot as well. We're not about to throw it into something like Optimize Processes if this issue can be fixed. I can't spend my savings on (or ask my parents to buy) gold to fund things that were previously had through normal game play.

So if this truly happening, and the drop rate for collectible items is reduced since the garage opened shop, I'm so worried my coop will lose members that don't want to bother seeing "donate gold" messages on a very frequent basis.

Optimize processes research is one of the pointless ones in my opinion. 5% reduction in collectibles per research slot does very little to solve the problem and costs A LOT of gold for very little return. Take flies for example.....at level 5 Native Wildlife project, optimize processes researched to -20% required it takes 2000 flies to start. The next optimize research costs 60,000 gold to bring flies down to -25%, will take the total required down to 1900 flies to start project.

I have been farming daily and a very active player and after months and months of harvesting/collecting I have only 950 flies. There is a major flaw in the project system and while I understand GGS wants to make money and needs players to buy gold to do so what happens when these same players get bored waiting around since there's not enough collectibles to do projects? I'm a coop leader and have to say I find myself getting bored by the whole thing. Collectibles should be pooled just like gold and dollars or simply taken out of the equation completely.

Ooops, sorry no I didn't see that you needed gold to start these. Maybe the game should have easier ways to earn gold or something as I don't believe people should have to spend lots of their savings either if they don't want to.
