where are certificate?

So I just tried my first mission since the upgrade. (lame.) Collect corn. Only up against one person who had only one more field then me but.... score ended up with that person well over a thousand more than I had. Either they happened to have special seeds just about ready to harvest, or they spent gold. This is why I avoided missions before.

But anyway, since I came in second place (or last.) I won a few certificates. Now I searched and searched. WHERE would I find them? How does one know how many they have?

Using special seed and humus, is a strategi everyone from level 20 and above can use, so I don't se that as a problem, and sometimes I use that strategy myself. :)

Using gold is only for players who can use gold in the game (age and personaly economy are examples which can doing gold use impossible for a player) :(

At the moment we can not see how many certificates we have, we hope it wil come with the next update:

Not only that, Brianno, but many don't even participate in missions. Or barely do. Their fields are locked in something else, or they leave the computer or whatever and you can easily win. There's just a heck of a lot more luck involved with winning these missions now. For me, it's a numbers game. I spend no gold, just harvest, harvest, harvest and enter missions back to back and end up with so many rep points that I'm usually in the top fifty players now.

    Missions are not hopeless.

Thanks for the replies. I found out, and I may start doing this all the time. When you first get on, and everything you have is ready to harvest, find a mission then. No matter what it is you'll have something.

Frankly I don't care about rep points. They don't seem to do anything. Not sure how valuable certificates will be but it can't hurt to collect a few.

RIght now, as we speak, I'm in a mission to collect dung. And.... I'm the ONLY person in it.
So I guess I'll be coming in first place. lol.

Pretty sad if a game being played around the world doesn't have one single person to join in.
But I'm fine with it. If they are all this easy.

The missions are only by server so you are playing individuals on the en 1 server - not around the world. :) Makes for a smaller pool to find someone from.

Nope, but it does give you an idea of just how many certificates I've won and just how easy it can be to win something from these missions. I lose about 80% of the missions I enter, place second or third in 15% and win the last five percent. So there's a ton of losing going on. In fact, most I can't even participate in, for one reason or another. And yet I've won enough to be in the top fifty players. That says something about how successful a non-gold-spending player can be. I just wait to harvest my animal sheds if I haven't entered a mission yet or if I'm close to finishing a non-dung mission. A lot of the time, I'll have pigs and goats lining up with a dung mission and I end up placing really well. Usually first, but sometimes second.

The certificates will be good for getting 4 types of permanent farm boosters in the shape of machines:
    extra workers without building houses
    extra happiness without building decos
    extra certificates
    extra RP

I am particularly interested in the first 2 and maybe the 3rd if you need a load of them and they appear hard to get. We will also need tools (as a random collectible drop) and dollars. We will find out how it actually works and how expensive it is probably tomorrow, but until now you can read the patch notes in the official announcements.

And I just can't wait! I'll be building the third machine first after which I'll focus on the first 2 :) Good strategy right? :p

    Copy/paste from the annoncement:
You need to have built the first stage of the preceding farm machine in order to be able to obtain the next type, but you may also aim for the maximum upgrade level of each farm machine first if that is what you desire.

I don't think you can use that strategy, if I have understanded the quoted correct.

In this case it may also be that the RP is the first machine, certificates the second, workers the third and happiness the fourth - so we will HAVE to spend a lot of dollars and stuff on something useless as RP *sigh* I dunno - we'll see what happens tomorrow :)

Well I hope I can use my strategy..... I'll get more certificates which will give me access to other machines faster :)

With all three of my farms, before harvesting anything, I got into missions with each. Two were for eggs. I came in second each time. One (this one.) was for corn. Only one other person who SHOULD have beat me. They had several more fields than I did. But they must have been sleeping. Didn't even harvest anything till the last few min. I thought sure they must have special seeds and I'd be wiped out but no.

Now I'm not going to go insane over this. I still don't see the point of player ranking. It's not like that pays anything. I don't even know where I rank nor do I care.
As for this latest thing, the garage, judging from every other upgrade so far, it will roll out full of bugs and glitches. I'll just wait. And if I find out it's just another gold dig, it will be ignored along with their other gold dig items. Just wasted space.
But I'll wait and see if it's possible to use without blowing cash. If it is? I bet lots of people get into missions.
And if not? Well the admins will know it's a flop when no one bothers with it.

I'm going with Ezio's strategy, although I'm figuring I won't be able to focus on certificate upgrades until I've bought one or two other machine upgrades first. Oh well. I'm not that worried about it.

That's fine. It's really just for people who like competition. I'm not in it for the rankings either, but it's still cool to see how high I can get without actually trying. I've just been collecting certificates like crazy because I was sure I'd be kicking myself if I didn't. Especially since I'm pretty sure people are going to go nuts over the missions once the certificate feature comes out and they have a real point. I'll have set myself up with a nice nest-egg while it was easy to win them so it won't be as frustrating when it gets hard.

It's back to the drawing board for you, ezio! lol ^^

Yeah, I notice there's a HUGE tool disparity between the two different machines. Earth is 50 for the first upgrade, but Retro was only 3.

    Decisions, decisions...

I fear even the drawing boards need tools :(
