not enough manure

;( with the the way the farms ran before it took until i was in the upper 60s or 70s for me to have enough manure to make fertilizer to habe all my apple, cherry and almond orchards going but with this update it is almost impossible to have enough fertilizer to run let's say 4 apples, 2 cherries, 3 almonds and 2 peaches which is reasonable with all the space available on the gourmet farm and to have the main farm ready for challenges, but there just isnt enough manure available even with everything upgraded....we need more poop! sorry to say...

Well I have to disagree with you on that. In my opinion the biggest positive about this update is that it allows us to produce more poop on our gourmet farm, and thus allows us to have more orchards.

I think it's your job to manage how much orchards you have depending on the amount of dung you produce. If you placed 5 orchards on your gourmet farm without placing enough dung producing building to support them, I think you need to re-think your farm.

Also don't forget that the new almond orchard runs for 4h our instead of 12h for the old one. So it effectively consumes 3 times more fertilizer than before... They however allow you to produce more almonds and are more than 3 times more profitable than the old ones... I'm happy with that tradeoff... you get more for your fertilizer.

I agree with NeVeSis, sorry :( lyradangel

You've added more Orchards but it sounds like need to add more ducks, donkeys and goats to balance them out. I'm finding it easier to have enough fertiliser than before

Yes I agree with Samty and NeVeSis. It sounds like you need more poop producers to accomodate your orchards. What I did was leave my orchards for 36hrs and concentrated on the poop producers. After that things went along smoothly
    Good Farming everybody

I took a peek at your farm. I don't see why you wouldn't have enough poop to make the fertilizer you need. It could be the amount of time you spend playing. If you spend a lot of hours a day on the farm, you could need more animals that poop faster. Pigs and chickens instead of cows. I would lean more towards the pigs. I could be wrong but it is something to think about. It's something to look into. I can tell you that I have poop coming out of my ears. I do admit to spending more time than I should farming.

The big hold-up for me is that I never bought and upgraded either the water tower or workshop for Gourmet. This will solve the problem BUT I ain't buyin til I see 200%. Not buying at all. The only fair way of addressing gold lost from fasting the buildings of the old GF is to offer a decent gold sale. Not asking for it for free, please note...

Has anyone taken a moment to throw together a poo producing spreadsheet?

thanks for the comments, i now have things under control i think, lol it's funny though...we did the flower growing co-op challenge and so i stored up on manure just using enough for my apple trees and after the challenge i was in the black(ha ha) by 300+ fertilizers /COLOR]btw i am someone who plays like 24/7 i hae 3 pigs, 6 cows 5 chickens and 3 of each gourmet animal, the main farm ones are either maxed or just needing a bloody architect(HINT HINT)[COLOR="#FF0000" and thru regular farming using both silos, and i maxed the Gourmet's as one of my 1st tasks, i got down to less than 100 in less than a week..i think my problem lies with being able to produce enough feed fast enough for my gourmet animals...i am busting my butt to get my 6 fields up in grade...
i rather hate that they make such small amounts of produce, i could keep making only goat feed for a week and never fill my barn they way it stands right now...it's pretty tough to keep up wt the donkeys and goats...i can get way ahead wt the ducks tho
i think once i can get an architect....... and get those fields and stables up to par then it will all work just fine
i like to keep my apple trees all running because right now they make me most of my money but things seem to be working out ok
