No need to call the Sheriff, Carol! We members of the staff here at the Daily Spud have been just sorta "hangin' out" at a local establishment here in Big Farm, eating lots of pizza and drinking lots of....uh...water. :whistling:

Is there something going on over at the Horse Ranch? I see a lot of people gathering at the gates watching workers cleaning up the place. I heard Rose McLundy bought the Ranch and will be opening it up soon. Just what our farms needed, so our farmers won't gain too much weight sitting around eating pizza and drinking.....uh....water. We always welcome new establishments to our community.

Maybe a reporter should be sent over to interview Rose and get all the particulars of her operation.

There is a new event going on unseen by the farming community and just affecting the workers. It is called the Butler Event. It has 6 tasks and a couple tasks are picking up trash, dressing Rose, Grooming the horses, and finally for a reward, Serve the farming community. A very nice reward because they get 200 happiness for it

A very reliable source just informed me that all Daily Spud reporters are located at the Tropical Island, to eye-witness the last days of a pending doom. Although the weather is always clear and sunny, they still wonder if the disasterous phenomenon will repeat. Hoping that our esteemed reporters get back soon safe and sound.... Will the Island be spared this time?

URGENT.................LATE BREAKING NEWS..............
A Ssource has just concluded an extensive investigation and found out that transportation to the farm is limited to getting there, there has never been turned up a way to get back with the exception of the following......rowboat, teleportation and swimming. Can anyone help those poor people on the island?

I tracked down the Sheriff......he is beside himself running around.......not knowing what to do about those poor people on the island. So I suggested we call a old-time farmers meeting to discuss how we can help. Farmer Lester suggest we could take a crop basket around and request cash donations so we could bribe Captain Barnacle to sail over there to pick them up. Some people grumbled, they had just upgraded some of their building and was afraid they would have enough money for their crops, but in the end they did the right thing. More news coming later.

Teleportation

Miss Piggy Swiftfingers , an expert at electromagnetic fields, has been secretely working at teleporting since the last devestating disappearance of the Island. She claims that teleportation will be achieved through a Ring (menu?) and a Next (harvest?) Portal. It remains to be seen if all of her hard work will pay off in the end.

Greetings, my fellow Big Farmers! Professor Chester P. Crackpot here! 8o I recently noticed something quite odd about our farms. We have MILLIONS of chickens, but they are all HENS! Not a single rooster in sight! Since to my knowledge no one has purchased any chicks, this leads me to one conclusion. Big Farm chickens are IMMORTAL! That's right! That's why we don't EAT them! Because we can't KILL them! You could lop their heads right off and they would just keep on laying eggs! But please refrain from testing my theory because it would be a rather gruesome sight, don't you think? :S

The guys have done it again

In response to the overwhelming concern for a way to distribute our overflow of poultry, NASA has recently announced the discovery of planet BF. This planet will allow players to maintain farms on another planet via remote control. For this reason all farmers are being asked at this time to start sending their pultry to the nearest space camp so they can learn to pilot and control the space shuttle while they are flying from here to their destination. NASA is takiung application now for the next launch to Planet BF. Applications cam be found at the following website http://www.spacecamp.com/. The site has not been updated yet to reflect this but it is a matter of time

Reporter back from the field. It has appeared that a worker has found a big horse paddock, with actual horses. We actually have only confirmed one horse though. What will become of the ranch? Does it have anything to o with the horseshoes Captain Barnacles been giving us? Learn this in the next exciting issue of The Daily Spud- News (after the weather report).

Well, well, we can't talk to the leader of the ranch right now because she's training the horse. I wonder for what? Strength, agility, or endurance? Themed events cause widespread panic!

Workers have become extremely anxious in the face of the recent increase of themed events around the farm. Much of the fear and confusion has been caused by fairytale kingdom overcrowding. Now, with the addition of a haunted castle, magic is wreaking havoc! Having run out of princes, witches are now turning workers into frogs. This has left men terrified and women sadly disappointed. There are reports of wells being poisoned and horses being turned into statues. Someone has turned some of the Halloween candy into Christmas candy canes. And now a new fear is spreading. What if Piggles is a zombie! "Once a pig dies a the fever it ain't s'posed ta come back ta life sicker 'n ever," wailed Porcine Pete. "It just ain't natural!" Workers are urged to take extreme precautions to avoid becoming one of the undead.
