Does anyone know if an official time has been posted anywhere regarding the time the update is scheduled to begin/end?

Fingers crossed that everything has gone smoothly and they won't have to postpone it again, the anticipation among my farm workers and our cooperative is high! ^-^/

All the raw materials and products you have in your barns that are no longer relevant will be auto sold for you. This includes almonds because although we will still have almonds they will be different with totally different attributes

Take care with your sugar cubes, because of production costs if you sell sugar, rather than the beets, it is at a loss. Sugar cubes only make money when further processed. So try to have as few in your barns as you can so you don't lose too much when auto sold

My Sugar does sell for a profit at my happiness level, but I make a lot more by selling raw Beets or using the Sugar in Apple Pies, etc. I think when I broke it down by Beet my profit was about $3 on each as Sugar, but raw was $38.46 each. (Remember it takes 345 Beets to make 110 Sugar = 3.14 beets per sugar; and with my amounts it costs $225 per sugar, not including sugar production cost.)

It shouldn't matter how you run your farms, the Sugar Beet profit should always end up greater than that of the processed Sugar. But either way, there will still be some FarmCash coming back to you when the Gourmet stores are emptied.

    I had asked before.
If I have 3 level-3 almond orchards and 3 level-5 gardens, how long will it take to rebuild all these, plus a new bakery (level 6)? Is 7 days enough?

We won't know for sure until the update goes live, but unless you are in the game A LOT during that period of time, it could be tight, if not impossible. You can try to use the current facility build times as a reference point and divide in half, but I'm not sure how close the new build times will come to the current ones.

I have to say I feel sorry for a couple of my members who will be struggling to finish the Hawaii event today but probably could not. They would normally then try to finish early tomorrow am before work or school but if the update runs a bit late or long then they may miss their window. One is stressing a bit about it.

They said they were going to add 2 hours to the Hawaii Event

so they are doing the update during the Hint of Hawaii event?? that does not seem too smart since most updates of any games have problems not to count all the down time that some people could need to finish the event.

Yup, I'm not finished the event. Real life stuff prevented me from being on the computer at all today. 18 hours to go but with the update happening tomorrow, who knows what will happen.

Can someone please translate the update time for those who have no idea what CEST or CET or CDT means???? I thought CEST might be Central European Standard Time but what are others & how do they relate??

Ok then. I found it in my settings; it is CEST & does mean Central European Standard Time which is GMT+1. That clears everything up nicely & I can now figure when 9am CEST is in my world!!! See you all on the other side :8)

CEST is Central European Summer Time.

If you are not logged in, the time displayed is CEST. 9AM CEST is a little over 2 hours from now.

Looking forward to the update. An opportunity to decide on some new strategy. I am looking forward to the smaller sized bakery and orchards (if I'm reading up on it correctly). I will instantly have more room! Yay!

During the first time I was building up the gourmet farm, I have since thought I should have done some things differently...now I can. I am going to have fun reorganizing it without having to decide or wait on some demolishing.

As soon as the update hits. We tried the latter, but in the end it didn't work out, so we had to go with option 1 here.

Yeah I hear you, I am so tired, but want to see it. I don't think I would sleep anyways. Gads all this excitement over a farming game! At least I only have to work Monday (today) and then I have Tue/Wed off to enjoy and get my farm going :D.
